  1. Hello Folks,

I am helping my Uncle complete his forms of filing for his wife and Stepson, His stepson turned 18 in January 2024, and he married his Stepson's mom in February 2024, I have been doing some research and read that the Stepson won't be eligible to be put on the filing because he turned 18 before the marriage, Is this true? Is this still the rule?  if so this would be not very pleasant for them. 😢

  2. Good Day

Need some input please, my husband is petitioning me and his stepson, he has been in the process of applying for disability, for about 3 years now, even before we met, his lawyer office said the disability should be coming through this year, anyways what i am concerned about is the taxes, his lawyer had told him he should not be filing any taxes, because it would mess up his disability, so in terms of taxes what can we send in with our package to represent taxes? is there something we can get from IRS? to say why he cant file? is there a name of a form to request from IRS? can we just send the package without anything regarding taxes?, we do have a joint sponsor and have all tax documentation for the joint sponsor, Another thing is he wants to add us as beneficiary on his disability, i am kind of conflicted with this as i don't know if this is allowable by USCIS, my husband said it will more solidify our case and add to the list of evidence we have, I dont want USCIS to think i am here to depend on his disability funds, as soon as i am authorized to work i will be doing so, Please help me with some information .

    thanks

  3. Hi Folks

Me and my son are residing in the US with my husband, we are now ready to start the immigration process, My husband wants to petition my son at the same time, I have been doing some research and found out the forms that we need to complete, such as, i485, i130, i765,iG25a, i765, i693, but my question is do we have to complete separate forms for my son? and if so what forms do we need to complete for him? and will his forms costs the same as an adult? and  does he need to do the medical also? My son is 15 years old.

Please help, We are trying to complete this process ourselves without having to hire expensive attorney

    thanks
