  1. Hello everyone,

My husband had his visa interview last October (2018). The officer gave him a yellow card marked with missing documents that later on were submitted to them by us. It has been almost one year now, upon checking his visa status on CEAC website it says administritive processing and the last date updated is September 15. The case only gets an update whenever we send them an email asking about the case process.I am very concerned now I feel like it is only us whose case has gone under AP for so long. My husband's passport was collected from him by the officer at the time of his interview and it is still at the embassy. We have a 2 and a half year old son who was born in the U.S and is a U.S citizen, and even that didn't help. I got to the U.S on November 2015 and I am still on a green card. The embassy handling my husband's case is the U.S embassy in Kabul Afghanistan. Also not to forget reading the forums here on visa journey I got to know that I could get help from my state's/city's senator regarding the issue and I did that the senator I contacted is Kamla Harris and she works for my area her office was helpful but the only thing I got from them was an official letter stating that I have to wait and this wait can not be expedited or waived. If you guys have any suggestions or similar stories please, please share it with us.

    Thanks in advance :)

  2. Hello
Please help me regarding my question...
I received welcome letter for my husband's case couple of weeks ago I paid the fees and chose myself as an agent for the case, they both were processed and went well, I need help with financial documents and supporting documents, I live in California and I am dependent on welfare of United States also I don't have a job and live with my parents and I am still on my father's case what financial and supporting documents should I submit since I don't have a job and what about taxes? I also have been married for 2 years and we have a baby together should I submit his birth certificate and all as a supporting document or no!?
    Thanks in advance

  3. Omg I became so sad reading your post we are in the same boat I also filed I-130 for my spous on august 2016 and got a letter on January 2017 it's says that my spous case has been sent to NVC for further processing and they have given me a 30 day wait time before contacting NVC was that same with you and then you got that you need to wait more or they mentioned it on your I -130 approval letter?

  4. Hello

I really need help with visa bulletin on USCIS websites I don't understand them after reading everything about it so many times, so my problem is that I just got my I-130 petition for alien relative (spous) approved on January 27, 2017 my priority date is august 15, 2016 so after waiting couple of months I finally received a letter saying that the above petition has been approved. And we have sent the original visa application to the (NVC) for further process, I am a green card holder my birth country is Afghanistan and my husband is from Afghanistan too, so I have applied for him based on my green card. Now I want to know that according to priority date which is august 15, 2016 how long do I have to wait for a visa number to become avilable for him and also yesterday I just received an email from USCIS which says "NEXT STEP AFTER PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE" I will attach a copy of email I have received I don't understand why did I get that when I don't have a visa number available yet?

thank you very much for help in advance, I really appreciate your help.
