    She’s going to be a dependent. Her financial circumstances are those of myself and her mother. My income alone is just shy of 6 figures, and NVC has a copy of our 2024 IRS 1040.

    I provided Affidavit of Support, so there should be no issue with her becoming a public charge.

    My Thai stepdaughter was notified that she has her interview scheduled for 21 April in Bangkok at the US Embassy. What are the chances that her visa would be issued relatively soon after the interview? Too much uncertainty with the ban in effect.

    Update to my previous post. NVC wanted a copy of our marriage certificate to be uploaded.

    My bad, I thought the PI was also on the list. I would have also thought that since I filled out the affidavit of support, it would prove that she wouldn't be a financial burden on the taxpayers.

    Not sure if filing will be an exercise in futility with the Immigration Visa ban affecting 75 counties. Everything was looking good for bringing my wife's daughter to the US. Got a notice on CEAC site yesterday, Jan 26 that all documentation had been accepted. Got this message today: Dear Applicant, We previously notified you of the date and time of your immigrant visa interview at the U.S.Embassy/Consulate General in BANGKOK, THAI. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel this interview. We will schedule a new interview appointment as soon as possible and notify you of the date and time. There is no need for you to take action at this time.

    Can the signature on the naturalization certificate be in the new citizens native alphabet? My wife is Thai, and she can print in English, but not write in cursive. TIA
