  1. Is anyone else here still waiting for their I-751 to complete processing?   I waited 10 months to gt a biometrics appointment.  Did the appointment last August and still nothing!!! No interview planned just a letter the they are extending the etension from 18 months to 24. Unbelievable!!!!  Now the process time on USCIS went from 15 month to 31 months to 16 months -32 months.  Feeling somewhat discouraged.  Anyone have any encouragement?   Anyone else moving in process?   WEevapplied December 21, 2019 Seattle office but was sent to Nebraska office!  Love to hear from others.

  2. Hello

I have just finished my biometrics appointment  for I751 lifting of conditions on my green card. It took 11 months to  get that biometric appointment.  I came here on a K-1 fiance Visa.  I have been married  to  the  same  person  (happily) and living in the USA now for  almost 4 1/2 years.   By December  22, 2021 I will have had my greencard  for  3 year's.   So my question is if by the date this I-751 process  is  still not fully  completed  can I at that time apply for  citizenship?  If so, how  will  it affect  the  process?  Will it create confusion?   The wait  time is so long and if it is  the correct  way  of doing  things would  like to apply asap because  of  the  lengthy  wait.

Thanks  I look forward to helpful  responses.

Thought I'd provide an update - Apparently there was an issue with the Green Card printer, thus delaying our card production but our approval status is no effected! We dont have any timeline though.. but have an infopass appointment on March 5th as a back up in case the card isnt produced by then.

So happy and relieved to hear the news!!

That is awesome news!  Congratulations !  I hope it gets there soon.  Ours took about 12 days altogther. I guess depending where your living locations is depends on how quick it gets there.

Thanks for the insight! We called yesterday and in standard fashion, they told us that if our case status changed then we need to wait for the letter.. but they didn’t confirm or deny if it’s an error. I got another case update email this morning but there was no change to the case.

feeling a bit frustrated about this step back, but hoping it gets sorted soon!

I understand the frustration in the wait of uncertainty.  We got our green card first then the letter stating we would be receiving our green card.

If you decide to call again you could always ask to speak to a tier 2 agent.  The call center people don't have a lot of information. Hopefully this will all work itself out quickly.  Hang in there.

  5. We had a few confusing things happen as well after our interview. We received a email saying you have had your interview these are a list of the next things you must prepare. They were things we'd already done a long time ago.  They ate having lot's of problems with this new pilot computer program.  I would recommend calling and asking. To verify. I called and there was no request like the email we had received. Calling will help clarify if this was a computer error or not.

    Had my interview today.

We waited for 1 hour until they called us.

The interview was not even 15 min... The officer did not tell us we were approved, but we had a good feeling.

30 min after the interview I got the sms, and my status changed to New Card Is Being Produced!!

    Approved on the spot

Had my interview at 12:15 today. It took about 45 minutes. The officer was pretty thorough but friendly and and at the end told us that she was approving us. 20 minutes after we left the office, the notification online changed to "Card is being produced".

We got mine yesterday, so unless there any major issues you should be getting it soon if you havent already got it. What is your online status.

    Ours took about 12 days

  7. It's hard to say.  There has been a lot of error inregards to their computor system.  After my interview I got an emasil stating my interview had been completed and then a long list of the nexts things that needed to be done like security checks and geting a biometrics appointment.  Things that we had already done months ago.  When I phoned USCIS about this they stated there was nothing on their online site stating this. Then I got a notice stating Our green card was being printed, then I got a notice t]stating we would be getting a letter following a card.  We got the card and then the letter.  So It may be just a glitch.  But it is good to check in to clarify!  Things I've shared qwere just our experience.  However the officer that interviewed us stated they were have a lot of computor porlbems and wished things would go back to the way they were before.

Hey! When they asked me my legal name and any previous names, I gave my current legal name (aka the one I got after I married) and the one I still have in my country (my country doesn't allow to get your husband's name). Anyway, I got my card with my current legal name. I am surprised you got it with your maiden. When you filed AOS, did you file with your maiden or married name?

NO we did not d0 that.  But at the interview the interviewer asked what name we wanted on the card. So we said My married name.  She did a correction on the application with a note stating which name we wanted on the green card. We will update it when we do removal of conditions.  I checked into having it fixed but there is a whole other process that could take another 13 months. Which is crazy.

  9. Ok Everyone

WE had our interview December 19 and recieved our Green card today December 30th.  Did anyone aked to get their Green card printed with their married last name?  And when it got printed did they comply by sending you card with your married last name on it.  We asked for my  card to be printed in my married last name but when it arrived it was in my maiden name!  Gak!  Now we have to phone in to have it changed.

  10. Our order seems to be backwards with USCIS! lol!  From Green card being printed, to being approved, to our green card being sent in the mail to letting us know that they are sending us a letter with instructions about the green card!  Time line wise December 19 interview, December 21 Green card being printed and today December 27 Greencard being mailed. So that's about 9 days altogether.  Part of this is I think becasue of the Christmas holiday.  I didn't expect to hear anything till January.  But I am happy it is finally on it's way!  I will be glad when I have it in my hands!  Finally!!!  I will post when it is recieved.

    Hello everone!

We had our interview this morning and everything went smoothly. They did also give us the paper that PedroDaGr8 got (that says about further check or so) but literally 3 hours later we got an email and sms saying that our card is being produced.

Any idea how long it takes until they mail the card?

    Thank you!

We got an email stating our card was being printed. that it should take about 30 days.  I
was assumming this means printing and sending!

Yes, I brought my phone into the building. That being said, if you have your phone with you, the interviewer is allowed to search it for evidence. That didn't happen for me, but it is a risk that you should evaluate.

I brought cash for parking, so I am not sure on that.

Thanks for the heads up on phone information!  I seem to remember when doing Biometrics that parking machines took only cash.

FOr my wife and I, it was Early July and we received our interview notice at the beginning of Nov. At this point, if you are October then possibly in Feb you will receive yours.

Were you allowed to bring your phone into the building and to the waiting area for the interview? Also do the parking meters at the Seattle office still only take cash?

Quick update: I will fill in the details later. We had our interview today, the interview was straightforward. We had WAY more evidence than necessary.

Unfortunately, they gave us a notice saying our case is being held for review. This notice was printed out before the interview, not sure about that. So now we have up to 120 days of waiting, hopefully it doesn't take that long.

Hopefully it won't take that long!
