Hello! Sorry haven't gotten a chance to log in after the interview . But.... good news is we got the visa!!! Interview went all fine thank God. It went pretty smooth. Once I get a little time I will update the spreadsheet and write interview review as well. Best of luck to everyone waiting.❤️

Hi Mojk, I believe our interview is a week before than you guys. Will share when done IA (Different visa category though). Btw, did you guys register the appointment on US travel docs website, I couldn't find a way to do that on thw website. Also, I heard there is some fee to be paid at the embassy, are you aware how much is it and how is it to be paid? Is this fee payment after or before the interview process? Thnx
Yes please let me know how your interview goes Inshallah it will be fine
and no we did not register our appointment , we called the embassy they said we do not need to register anything just come on the day of appointment. Also, the fee you're talking about is the GC fee and i believe you have to pay if after the interview and before you enter US. I dont know how much is it though

Hey,
Please don't be nervous at all. We arrived to the embassy at 12:00 but the appointment is at 12:30 and they don't let any one in until 12:30 so you have to wait outside and it's hot but they do have a fan.
So my advice is not to arrive more than 15 minutes before your appointment.
We were given a number and then we waited for a few minutes and our name was called to window 12, a nice guy talked to us and asked us for the original documents such as birth certificate and police clearance.
Then he asked a couple of quesstions and told us to set and that our name will be called.
it was called and we met with another guy where we did the finger prints and he asked maybe 2 or 3 questions,he didn't ask to see any photos or anything and he didn't ask about domicile.
It was clear I guess that we're a family cause we have two daughters.
Overall the staff are very nice, polite but be ready to spend 2 hours maybe more. We came at 12 and left at 3:15 PM.
As long as you have all your papers things will be smooth.
Update: Today my visa was issued
after 9 days. if you have any question please dont' hesitate to ask me, btw they do speak english and arabic but i feel easier speaking English
OH okay. Thank you so much for your input. Its really very helpful. Our appointment time is also 1230 and we were planning on getting there by noon. Good thing you told me about the long wait so now we will be going a bit late. And they only asked you for the original documents not any copies? Also, congrats on getting the visa!! I hope our interview also goes as smoothly as yours

Update.
Our interview was yesterday (we asked them to do it earlier in order to expedite).
Things went very well and we were approved. They only asked for original documents of
birth certificates
marriage certificates
medical exams
police clearance.
That's it, asked ony 3 or 4 questions.
can you tell a little bit more about the interview experience please? My husband's interview is coming up in Riyadh and i will be joining him there..a little nervous

I don't have the option of changing as Jeddah just has one center they're charging Almost 1500 SAR per adult ... hey i needed to ask something, has your husband registered the document delivery address yet from us travel docs website or should it be done after the interview from the embassy itself?
Thanks!
He inquired the embassy and they said registration will be done on the day of interview. No need to register beforehand.

Riyadh or Jeddah? How was his experience?
In Riyadh. He said there were long lines for some reason. Hours are also weird due to Ramadan so he went in at 10 pm.

Mojk - It's not that long for Riyadh, UAE is loaded. You're ok and should hear something in a week tops, average time for recent schedulings for Riyadh is 15~16 days for spousal petitions.
I hope it'll be 15-16 days Inshallah

Case Complete to Interview November 2017
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Hello guys ,
It's been a long time but I just came here to touch base. We had CC on May 23 of this year and got interview on July 12. My husband's visa was approved and we both flew back to the States on August 16. He got his green card within 3 weeks but we didn't get social security card in mail. So we went over to our local SS office and applied for one since apparently the customs officer at the airport didn't file for one. Now that he has both GC and SS, he's applying for drivers lisence and looking for a job
it has been a long tiring process but the nice people on this website have helped us a lot to get through stressful times. So for those people waiting for CC or an interview I know how frustrating it can be at times, but stay positive and take it one day at a time. The light at the end of tunnel is closer than you think and once you get out of the tunnel, life is beautiful!
Also I would like to specially thank @JBMG for the spreadsheet and keeping everyone updated.
Best of luck to all the VJ family!
