Well this first process with NVC went really smooth i can say, case received from USCIS May 2nd and May 18 done with first stage, all fees paid, ds-260 submitted and all documents mailed, now comes the wait, but coming from USCIS Nebraska this should be a piece of cake lol, good luck to everyone getting interview dates quickly!!

Just wait until you get your welcome email or letter, it will have a cover sheet attached to it, it will show you the order for the documents when you assemble your package, just put the ones that applies to your case and make sure to tick the boxes accordingly

CONGRATS...... SO HAPPY FOR U.... I AM AUGUST 15TH AS WELLLL...... HOPEFULLY NEXT SHOULD BE MINE.... U JUS GAVE ME SOME HOPE....

Unfortunately, Nebraska is by far the slowest service center and only gets slower each month. I read up a lot on NSC while I was waiting there and it is clear they are very understaffed. There also seem to be more petitions filed than ever before each year. I know it isn't news to anyone, and it isn't a positive view to have, but it is the harsh reality.
 
What I did to help myself mentally prepare for the wait was to give myself a realistic timeline. I didn't get my hopes up that we would be approved faster than the current average processing times, and VisaJourney's timeline data helped give me an accurate picture of where USCIS really stood with their current processing times. It was tough every month when the VJ timeline would slow down, readjust, and even go backwards, but it really kept me informed. Just following USCIS data would have set me up for major disappointment, as the 5 months posted on their website couldn't be more inaccurate.
 
Keep the faith everyone, be realistic, and know that things get much better after Nebraska.

They should have said "you're still within abnormal processing time" California is already end of October, I've heard they are going to replace the LIN for SSC (Snail Service Center) ?

And of course we are all happy with the service...

8/24 and still waiting here too.  I'm gonna try some reverse psychology by not checking again for 36 hours.

Yeah am in the same boat as you are, it looks like our officer is on vacation, also i read that the USCIS director is resigning so things dont look quite good for us, processing times were updated and it went from August 2nd to August 9th in a whole month, can't wait to get out of USCIS hands and you just hope don't get a RFE
