Hi @enforsa123. I am in Louisville Kentucky as well! I actually have an exam the day of my biometrics which is 3/13. What exactly did you do for the walk-in? I don't want to reschedule my appointment as it might delay my case. Thanks for your help!!
I would have been out of town for my initial appointment so I told the staff, that I was traveling and didn’t want my case to be delayed for this reason. It wasn’t too busy, so they took me in. I was in and out in 15 minutes.

I am living in Kentucky state is that mean my local office should be same you? I did not receive my biometrics yet I applied at 02/23/2019? May I ask where you did your Biometric?
I had mine at the USCIS office off Broadway. My initial appointment was March but I had a walk-in done last week. If you applied in Kentucky, then I’m pretty sure we have the same field Office.

Hey guys I finally received my Card today. The website says it was mailed out on 3/3/2017 but I guess because it fell on a Friday, USPS didn't pick it up till Monday3/6/2017, hence the delay. I was able to obtain a tracking number from Tier 2 officer to reveal the timeline. I have decided to take a break and file for my citizenship using the 5 year rule and not the 3 year rule. I'm in no rush, the only possible fear is the current US administration can make changes to these regulations anytime from what I have seen so far. There is no telling what to expect. I wish those still expecting their approvals good luck and those that have started their path to citizenship the best.

I'm curious - does the app give you different info than what you get when you put your case number into the mycase website?
No

Thanks for sharing your experience, Sandra Barbaros! I've been thinking about calling them myself.
Enforsa, I didn't realize one could call outside of business hours. How early/late would you recommend?
I'm not sure what time they close, but I live in Central time zone and I have been advised to call just a little before 5:30. So I guess they shut their lines for the day if not busy at that time. Congrats Christie22

Calling USCIS was a waste of time. They shut down their lines when the volume is too high for tier 2 IO, Wow. So nothing, all they said was that VSC is processing Dec 2016 cases. Nothing about Feb Cases and yet others are getting approved before ours. Wow, unbelievable. Nothing is ever easy. Irs frustrating at best.
I'm so sorry about that, but it's always best to call in the early hours of the morning or about 5pm in the evening. They open their lines back later in the evening sometimes.

Hey guys just wanted to give you a quick update. I just got off the phone with Uscis and the tier 2 officer just told me that my case was approved yesterday, Can someone please update my timeline please, my noa 1 dated 2/29/2016 and I got approved on 2/16/2017. You guys can call and find out more about your case. I was advised by the officer that I should receive a notice by mail next week and that my online status might/might not change but the card has gone into production as of yesterday. I wish everybody good luck on their case.
I spoke to a very nice officer, a lady, and she also explained that they have a queuing system that goes by the completion of each phase before a case can be assigned to an officer, so regardless of when you filed, what actually gets your case moving faster is completing the background check in time. some take less than a week while some take months. This explains why some December filers are still not approved and some February filers are approved. Hope this helps.

Please can someone update the list.
I got my letter to say I was approved dated January 26 and received my greencard in the mail on Feb 4th
When did you apply. Looks like your NOA is 2/29. If that's correct then it's looking good for February filers

Hi SRCB2503, Looking at my I-797 letter, I think this has to be the right understanding of when the extension starts and ends. The letter says "your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year." That surely means that the extension begins on the date the card expites. If it was a year from the date of the letter, first it wouldn't be a full year's extension because your card would still be valid for the first few months and, second it would say "a year from the date of this letter."
What the other officer said about interviews seems bizarre. You will always have an interview for AOS based on marriage to a US citizen. A glance at the timelines on this forum will show that very few ROC applications require an interview. He must have been mistaken.
Cheers,
NotLarry
It's funny because I was told the exact same thing when I Spoke to a Tier 2 Officer - that my case was assigned to an immigration officer yesterday and that 95% of I-751 requires an interview. Not sure if this is a new thing or if they are just confused.

Hi, I filed last week of February at the Vermont Service Center and i am still awaiting a decision. I called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 2 officer to get more information on my case, and he told me, my case has been recently assigned to an immigration officer yesterday. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes after a case has been assigned to when a decision is made. Trying to make a decision on whether i should get an info pass to have my passport stamped or not. Thanks in advance.
