I think this is what you're talking about: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/immigrant-visa-for-spouse.html
Almost! But no that’s not it. There page had a drop down menu in which you would select your city, and that opened a PDF file.

Hi guys, I’m looking for a document I can’t seem to access anymore. I believe it was on the US state department website, you would get to a page with all the steps to take until the interview and one of these pages had the instructions to gather the package for the interview. On this page, you would select your embassy (mine is Paris) and it would link to a PDF page with tons of info.
I’m looking for this PDF but can’t seem to find it.
Thabks for your help!

Hi everyone. I don't know if this question has been answered yet, but here goes:
I just received NOA2 from USCIS, we're now moving to NVC. I'm doing the consular process through the embassy in Paris. Because I overstayed my ESTA by 18 days after I married my husband, I had to get a B1/B2 to be able to visit. I am currently in the US with him, will be going. Back to France soon.
My question is: is it possible for us to do some of the next steps in the US, since I am here? Or am I bound by the consular process? Mostly medical and the interview. This is mainly because the medical exam is very expensive in Paris, and only one doctor is approved by the embassy. There are 5 approved USCIS MDs around our house in the US...
thanks!

Approved 22nd!! We got in letter in the mail yesterday. Never got electronic notification of the approval.
I really think our senator request helped push this through. Our petition was approved 1 day after we were told about senatorial contact.
I am numb.... is this really over??
Congratulations!

Thank you so much though for your constant support. I really appreciate and it is helping a lot.
Of course.
I don't really use this place a lot but if there's a way to send private messages, you're more than welcome to send me one!

No we didn't... I asked my husband to but he keeps on saying our senator can't do anything and ultimately, the USCIS officer is the only person that has the capacity to do anything... I will keep on insisting and maybe will just do it myself.
Are you married to my husband?!?
I ended up doing it myself and he admitted it was a good thing to do when he saw how helpful they were. Seriously. Do it, it can't hurt.

Getting crazy here...
NOA1 : July 28th
We sent an inquiry, waiting for an answer that should arrive by MID MARCH ! RIDICULOUS !
Our attorney says the only thing we can do is to wait (why are we paying her so much ?)
Plus, I just left my apartment and my job (I gave them a 3 months notice 3 months ago as they required, thinking that it would be all done by now)
It is just all getting so tiring...
I know, we are many in this situation but it fills good to just complain a little...
Girl, i know the feeling. Left my apartment and job too after Christmas, thinking it would have all been done by end of July, and now I'm crashing on my sister's couch...
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but be careful with the time they give you (obviously...). We sent the same inquiry, we were told we would hear after 2 weeks, and after 2 weeks they told us they had mailed us a response... it was a week ago and we still haven't gotten it. I just don't want you to get your hopes up.
Also, did you contact your senator? Ours was amazing and his office was so nice. I talked to them on Thursday night, emailed back and forth with all the info and forms they needed, his assistant said she would make phone calls at the beginning of this week and get back to us asap. Hopefully that works.

How did you qualify for electronic processing?
@misshepburn I'm interested in knowing the process too. I'm finding the information about that a little confusing. Thanks for letting us know!

August i-130 filers reporting acceptance so you need to call. Check VJ timelines report. Good luck.
We have called so many times. They won't even let us talk to a supervisor. We contacted our senator, submitted a "passed processing times" request online and my husband is going to the USCIS again next week. Hopefully one of these makes them move.

Thanks so much man !
We will start bugging them hard now...
De rien !
We have been bugging them, and so far it hasn't been successful. Hopefully something will happen if we all push?

Hi guys,
Little PSA here, the USCIS processing times table was updated yesterday. It now says that as of December 31st, they were processing cases filed on August 2nd, so everyone of us is now outside of normal processing time and can therefore apparently make a request...
Hope we all hear soon. Stay strong.

Today, I received an email from USCIS that my case paperwork has been shipped from USCIS (to NVC). I guess it takes a few weeks between NOA2 approval from USCIS and NVC receiving paperwork owing to the fact that USCIS mails paperwork in batches and sends them once a week or so.
Priority date: July 29th, 2016
NOA2 approval: Jan 31, 2017
Paperwork leaving USCIS to NVC: Feb 14, 2017Good luck to everyone!
Does that mean that you had no idea your case had been approved?
I can somewhat understand them sending the paperwork to NVC later, but taking 2 weeks to say you've been approved seems particularly long.
Happy for you anyway! Good luck for the rest.

@MrsRP We also contacted both Senators and Congressman. After signing a privacy release waiver, they contacted USCIS and got back to me. Basically USCIS was completely unhelpful. USCIS sent nothing back but incorrect information. They even told the Senators office that it was against their policy to transfer any petitions to other service centers based on workload. When obviously, not only is it completely their policy, they do it CONSTANTLY. USCIS also told them incorrect current processing times (they referred to the website where the dates hadn't been updated in months). So I guess either USCIS just said anything to stop us from bothering them, and/or they don't know how to do their jobs. So irritating.
@nicoleelaine wow that's REALLY shitty! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hey guys,
I've recently contacted my state senator and Congresswoman. About how long before I should expect a response?
I have absolutely no idea but I am curious as to what you told them. Can you share with us? I'm ready to do just about anything right now, so I'm considering asking my husband to do the same thing. Thank you and happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Hi guys ! My husband called the USCIS yesterday and had a supervisor on the phone. He told him that the EO didn't change anything for them (really ??). Our NOA1 is July 28th. My husband asked how can people from august have an answer when we are still waiting. He responded that everyone is different and any detail could make our case longer to treat... (nice...) According to him though, they are doing a background check right now. At list, we know they are working on our case...
I hope this could be useful to you guys. Don't hesitate to call them. It took us 10 days to finally have a supervisor on the phone though.
We got the exact same response, which makes me think they actually have a set speech they give everyone...
PD July 28th here too, it's infuriating to see all the August cases being approved...

We just got approved, Feb 8th. I got the notification by email at 4am, before the app updated. We had filed July 6, 2016 and sent in our response to RFE January 20th. In total, it took 218 days for them to approve i-130.
Best of luck to all!
Congrats!!

Well, I hope for all of us that a week of silence means a big batch of approvals this week.
Good luck everyone, the end is near!

That is just awful, seems like they are starting to slow down even more. Nothing new for Nebraska.
It really is. I made the mistake to look at other people's timelines... Some I-130 being processed in California get NOA2 within 2 months of NOA1.
And we're sitting here and waiting for 6+ months like idiots... -
