It's normal! The status really changes to non immigrant and can stay in AP for a few days.
Thanks Ms. Lara. Today is my 4th day under non immigrant AP. And honestly, I'm getting more anxious and stress everytime I check the status and no update. I just hope I'll not get stuck in AP as other experienced. I called the embassy today but as usual the agent cannot tell further information about my status he only said that my case is under review by consular. Praying hard that visa will issued soon.

Hello Guys,
Good day!
I have posted this to other thread but I'd like to create separate topic for this.
I'd like to ask does anyone who got non immigrant AP here? I know that the majority of applicants experienced administrative processing as they say it's pretty normal. My question is how long does your status stay on AP before it'll change to "Issued".
Here's my timeline:
July 26 - Interview - Approved
July 27 - status changed
- From immigrant > ready to immigrant> application received
- Date creation updated to July 27
Later afternoon another update again -From immigrant to non immigrant> administrative processing.
July 28 up to this day - still on non immigrant AP
Do they process visa during weekends?
I am kinda anxious rightnow coz I have read some horror story about administrative processing that they're stuck on AP for weeks, months or even year. I'm expecting the status would change today to "Issued" as some applicants they're only on AP for 2 days after that it'll change to "Issued". My fiance will arrive in August 13 to collect me and he already booked a flight on August 19. I'm just really hoping that I'll get an update soon to "Issued". I opted to pick up my visa in 2go.
Can anyone here share their experience or shed a light?
CONGRATS to all who got approved and received their visa already
Thank you in advance

Hello Guys,
Does anyone here re-correct the details in AOS in behalf of the petioner?
What happened was my fiance entered my middle name incorrectly, he used the part of my first name as my middle name in two pages of AOS. So what I did was instead of him sending me the correct one I just re-correct it by myself. But the problem is it has different color of paper. My fiance used dirty white of paper while mine has tone of blue in white paper. I'm just worried coz the consular might question it.
Another thing, my fiance sent the 2 recent years of ITR and W2 but it doesn't indicated in affidavit, is it okay? Only W2 2016 is indicated in AOS and other supporting documents such as bank statement, payslip , letter from the company etc.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance!! :)

UID is what most have.
You shouldn't have at issue at the interview with your name.
Did you enter your middle name with your first name as given name?
Hello sir Hank,
Yes sir, I have enter my middle name. However, when I emailed the USEM for assistance they instructed my to correct my name in DS-160. It means that I should remove the middle name so my name in DS-160 and interview appointment confirmation will match.
It's confusing though since most of the thread I have read here in visajourney they said that middle name should be included in DS-160.
What is your thoughts on this sir?
Attached is their instruction.
Thank you in advance.

Yes I have read that also, yet I know most don't complete the DS-160 until later.
Don't worry about entering the number to schedule the interview if you can find a space to do so, as long as you are allowed to get your interview scheduled all is good.
Complete the DS-160, print out copies of the confirmation page as you will need copies for St. Luke's the 2nd day of the medical and then a copy is needed for the interview.
Yayy!! Thank you so much sir for confirmation.
I was worried because I've seen some appointment confirmation in google when I searched it they have this barcode from DS-160. And I was wondering if all K1 applicants have this barcode in Appointment confirmation because mine it only have UID.
One thing sir, do you think I will have problem with my visa appointment since my name in visa appointment doesn't match in DS-160? My name in DS-160 has middle name while in visa appointment doesn't have.
Please see attached file.
Thank you again sir Hank! Have an awesome day!

Hello everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone enter their ds-160 confirmation number to interview appointment? I'm confused the site is saying you should make sure to enter correct confirmation number wheb scheduling appointment. However, I cannot seem to encounter that field where they're asking me for the ds-160 confirmation number.
Does anyone see this field? Or does anyone linked their ds-160 to interview appointment?
I'm so anxious rightnow, I don't want to have mistakes as it will probably cause delay.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello Guys,
I have already scheduled visa interview online and completed DS-160, however, upon auditing my profile in visa interview site it says
"Please enter your name as it appears in your passport. If you have filled out a DS-160 or DS-260 please use the same values as entered there." Please see attached image.
The problem is that I entered different name in DS-160 and visa interview
DS-160 : the given name that I entered there was, first name and middle name
Visa Interview Profile: the first name that I entered there was, first name only
Will this cause a problem? As they're different?
Thank you in advance again guys. I will really appreciate your help.

Hello Guys,
Here's what happen. As soon my fiance received the NVC case number via phone I paid for the visa right away, completed the DS-160 form, set up an appointment for medical (SLEC). And the priority date that I used is the receipt date of our NOA1 which was January 30, 2017. However, I finally received a response today from NVC via email since I have been also following up our case number through email before but I noticed that the priority date that they provided is different from the priority date that I used, they provided January 26, 2017 as priority date.
The question is, will this be an issue? Since I have used different priority date opposing to the one that they give?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello Guys,
I am confused on this Attention message that you will see in dashboard when you apply visa interview.
Please see attached file.
It says "Please note, it is vital that you provide the valid and correct DS-160 confirmation number when you schedule an appointment.". Should I link the DS-160 confirmation code on this system? Is there anyway to do that. I didn't found any where you can put the confirmation code.
Did I done it right? I just filled out DS-160 print the confirmation page and schedule interview appointment here and email the confirmation to my email address.
Hope you guys can enlighten me with this one. I am worried that I did it in a wrong way.
Thank you so much in advance.

You have to pay the visa first before you can schedule an interview. Once you obtain your case number you can pay visa right away and schedule a medical and interview. Give atleast a month from receiving the case number to interview so that you will have the embassy letter with you on time of your interview. You'll be done by August to do all that. Good luck 😊
Hello,
Good advice. I'll take note of that.
Yeah, maybe I shouldn't wait for the status of CEAC for me to schedule the interview. Since I can adjust the interview online depending on the available dates.
Thank you so much and Godbless!

Hello Lovely Couples,
I would like to confirm if it's okay to proceed in scheduling interview even the status in CEAC says not ready? Should I need to base from the status of CEAC before proceeding paying visa and have schedule? Currently, we are waiting for NVC case number and we are anticipating to obtain the case number either this week or next week. I am just wondering if I could schedule right away once my fiance obtain the number through call or email.
In addition to that, can I schedule interview as early as the First Available Appointment date in online? Or is it feasible to do it over the phone? As of today, the next available appointment date is on June 21 and that's far. We are trying to get interview either this May or mid of June, however, we don't have the case number yet. So assuming, if we'll get the case number 8 days after, we might get schedule on June 29 or worse July.
My fiance will fly here in Philippines on August. So he's hoping that he can fly back to California with me on August.
I would really appreciate your thoughts or opinions about this.
Thank you.

Hello Guys,
Good day!
I have some few clarifications in regards to the process of K1 visa after NOA2. Here are my questions below:
1. I am beneficiary, should the petitioner send the original copy of NOA2? Am I going to need that as one of the requirements?
2. Will the petitioner receive a hard copy of NVC with case #? Does the beneficiary will need an original copy of NVC? Who will send that to beneficiary? (I am sorry I am just bit confused with this as from what I read in some forums they said that they receive the NVC letter late or worst they never receive it.)
3. Is there any documents that I should anticipate to receive via mail? If so, what are those?
4. I have read that the USEM changed the rules, they are requiring the beneficiary to get fresh copy CENOMAR as per request, is that true? If so, when is the best time to get CENOMAR? or I will just copy of CENOMAR when they'll ask me to do so.
5. I have changed name in BC. Should I acquire 2 copies of CENOMAR that reflect my two names with each copy?
6. My fiance have already reserved a venue. I know it's too early but the venue require 6 months advance reservation. And he will going here in PH on August hoping that he'll fly back with me. Is 1 month and 26 days is enough time to prepare for wedding? Our plan is simple wedding not a civil wedding.
7. We have already got approval of NOA2, do you think will I able to get visa before August?
Your help guys will be very much appreciated!! ♥♥♥
Thank you so much in advance!!

Hi! Does your PH passport match the name on your BC? They will possibly ask you about it, but as long as your passport and BC exactly match, and you have all documentation showing there was a legal name change, then you have nothing to worry about. If you submitted anything under your former name, they might ask you, just be honest about it. But also you have to include in your NBI Clearance all the names that you used including nicknames. I have the same issue, only mine was that I found out 34 years too late that I wasn't legally adopted and that the name I am using is not my birth name. But instead of going to the court to process legal adoption to use the name I've grown up using, I was advised by the lawyer to change all government and school records and use my birth name instead, thus being able to get a passport the same as my BC. But my NBI clearance reflects two of my names. The former and the current. Hope this helps.
Yes, it matched po. I got passport the time that my mom already fixed my birth certificate. However, at first glance you may not notice the name correction at the side of BC because that's where they put the corrected name. Thank you so much I really appreciate your help! I am just too excited to get the approval of NOA2. Anticipating this week or next week. So as early as now, I am doing some research.
Thank you ♥

I should have given you this website before. Sorry, I just remembered it.
This is packet 3 and packet 4 for USEM.
This will help immensely in your preparation.
Also, I found this website extremely helpful for a step by step guide.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the scenario. Has the name on your birth certificate been changed? Why does your other legal documents (SSS, NBI, Police clearance) still reflect a different name if your mother has corrected your name on your birth certificate?
The birth certificate is the primary document of identity. All other documents must follow the name on the birth certificate.
Hello, I'm sorry if it may seem confusing.
The name in SSS, NBI and Police clearance is the name that I am using right now which is Joana but in BC it is Mary Joyce. But it was already corrected and the correction name is place on the side of BC. I was wondering if they'll going to ask about how did I obtained this requirements before because you know some of government requirements they need BC before you acquire it, right? I am already thinking about it because I don't want to be caught off in guard for unexpected question. hehe!
Thank you.

Hello Guys,
I would like to seek your opinion about the changed of name in Birth Certificate. I have completely different name in birth certificate which is Mary Joyce but mom has already fixed it and changed the name in legal way 3 years ago. However, I am just wondering if the interviewer will question about it since I am using different name since I went to school. Fast forward, I had already obtained SSS, NBI, Police clearance using different name. I am just wondering if interviewer will question how did obtain those requirements above before using different name. I dunno, it's just hypothetical situation in case they'll ask me about it. I am a bit worried.
Plus, I would like to know what are requirements should I bring on interview with this BC name changed. Should I get two copies of NBI, Police clearance, Cenomar that reflect my two names, one name each copy?
Your advice will be greatly appreciated. ♥♥♥
Thank you in advance.

Hello Guys,
We're currently waiting for the approval of NOA2. And we are expecting it this week or next week. I am just wondering what are requirements can I obtain while waiting for the NOA2? We would like to have smooth and fast processing of K1 visa just like the other applicants here. Can I obtain police clearance, NBI, etc. What are the other requirements can I get aside from those?
Thank you so much in advance!

Hello kababayan!
I'm just wondering if there's any Filipino there who's living near in Richmond, California? I've been here for almost 2 months and still I haven't see nor meet Filipino around the area. I'm starting to get homesick now...
Goodluck anyway to those under k1 visa!
