  1. How long does it take for the embassy to actually receive and process the k1 visa petition?

I called the NVC last week and they said that they sent the package to the seoul embassy on June 15th. It is now July 3rd. Is it normal to take more than 3 weeks to hear from the embassy?

My finacee called the embassy but they didn't tell her if they had received the package or not.. in fact they were very vague and general. All they said was to wait and that they'd email something once they process it.

I called the 603 334 0888 number and told them my case number, and she asked if I was getting the number from an approval notice that was sent (which was a bad sign already, meaning she could likely see there was nothing in the system). I said no I did not have an approval notice, and she told me to call USCIS.

Sometimes I think I would rather just be ignorant to what's going on than to know my case is still in received. Oh well, was worth a try.

Sigh I got a similar response from the NVC. They told me they couldnt find my receipt number in the system and asked for my approval number which i dont have. I guess my case is still being processed at uscis..

I was referring to the approvals that never got logged to the online status checker for people who got approved. My estimate is that there are 800 approvals that SHOULD be in the data that are not. So subtract 800 from the untouched count, and you have a good idea how many Jan files are in received (untouched). This is based on the average daily approval count over the two weeks prior to when the online checker stopped working, which was about 70 approvals per day. My assumption could be dead wrong though. And this is why I have not been publishing data :)

If there really are 800 approvals.... then there are not  a lot of untouched jan files left... sigh.... It's been about 125 days since our NOA1 date...

who would have thought I would be one of the unlucky ones that wouldn't get a response until late lol i guess nobody expects or hopes for that. It would really suck if after all this we get an RFE. Although frustrating that we haven't gotten an approval or any response, I supposed I should count my blessing and be thankful that I haven't gotten an RFE or denial either.

Ran the 5/18 stats last night. Please remember that we are missing about 800 approvals in this data it seems. So untouched is much lower that what is seen here. I figured this would be helpful regardless.

Does that mean that 800 cases are still untouched?

Still no noa2 in the mail or online. Have you gotten a response from your congress person? I am thinking about sending a letter/email to my congress person tonight.

No problem. I googled who my congress person is, I think every state has different districts and there's a congressman or woman assigned to each district. You can put in your zip code and congress representative in google and it should come up. On their website there should be a contact tab and see if you can send them an email, they'll reply to you and ask for your receipt number and your fiancés name and they'll send you a form to sign for privacy info release and once they send it to USCIS, they have 48 hours to reply to your local rep.

Would it be okay if you could share with us what you sent to your congress person? I looked up my congress person and noticed they have an entire section on their website under "services" for "help with federal agencies". Debating on if I should send an email and what I should write.

Hope our NOA2 comes tomorrow I sent K1 on Jan 13  Received NOA1 Jan 19

at 110 days and counting. Going insane:jest:

Anyone else left waiting from January still not received NOA2

Sent jan 9th and receieved jan 13th for noa1. waiting over 120 days now...

This waiting process has taught me the limits of my patience. I am going insane. Checking my mail everyday this week. Hopefully everyone that is from january and still waiting gets their noa2 this week.

    fingers crossed!

  7. I just tried to call USCIS. I don't understand. They said they're still working on november cases as of April 17th, 2017. How are people receiving approvals and RFEs from january if they're still on november?... This wait for for the NOA2 is so stressful.

They told me to call back if i don't hear anything from them in 2 months since they are technically working on november.
