  1. Does anyone know what the marriage ability statement is? Is it the same as the Letter of Intent? Do both my fiance and I need one? Where do I even find it? Is it the same thing as a Single Status Affadavit? The paper my fiance got does not clarify this and I've called and emailed the US Embassy several times with no answer. I have no idea what I'm supposed to send in. The only thing that comes up when googling this is something for China, and then a bunch of things about the Letter of Intent, which I sent in for our 129f form and also retyped one for the interview with a more recent date. There aren't so many people on this forum doing k1 visas from Czech Republic so I'm just pretty lost.

    Thank you.

    Where does it say that?

    https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-134instr.pdf

"NOTE: Signing Form I-134 is under penalty of perjury under U.S. law. For this reason, it is not necessary to sign Form I-134 before a notary, or to have your signature notarized after you sign it."

My fiance must have read this wrong then.

Alright. Well is it okay if my signature is notarized then? lmao

  3. this affidavit of support is going to be the death of me I swear.

Alright everyone, this should be my last annoying redundant question on this forum, as my fiance will have her interview soon.

My mom is a co-sponsor and has filled out her form as well. I'm wondering about question 38 on part 3. From what I've read on this site and others, it seems k1 visa applicants are supposed to check "do no intend" because it's not applicable?? Is my mom, the co-sponsor also supposed to check do not intend? I am living with her currently so my fiance will be too for a year until we move out. Does my mom then check 'intend' since she'll be staying there with us?

Also, is it required I send in my bank account info? I have no savings or money currently to speak of, due to all the recent fees I had to pay for this k1 visa process. I have a full time job and will be submitting a letter of employment, my tax returns and pay stubs as proof of income. My mom is submitting her bank info and tax returns. She's also employed but since she's a teacher and it's summer she won't be able to acquire a letter of employment until September, so I'm hoping we can skip that as to not wait an extra 2 months.

Will this be sufficient evidence? Should I submit my checking and savings account amounts even though it's a laughable, minuscule amount? I feel like it won't help our case but rather damage it. Please any help is greatly appreciated and I promise I won't haunt this forum ever again lmao. We're going to the notary today to get this signed and DONE.

  4. Anyone else here's date NOA1 date Feb 8th??  No word on NOA2 yet, my fiance and I are starting to get nervous. I'm hopeful we will hear something this week but I might have to call the California center soon. This thread has calmed me down a bit thought seeing how some people are also still waiting. Congrats to those of you who have gotten through this step though!! Surely the rest of us here will be approved soon enough!!

  5. Okay, this should be my last question regarding this form because hopefully I'll be able to send every thing in later this afternoon. Also I wanna send a big thanks to everyone who has been super helpful and patient with me through all my questions lmao thank you!!!

So, on questions 13a.-13d, I'm a bit confused about how to answer it. I was born in Spain but my mom was born in the US. My dad was also born in Spain. I know my citizenship was acquired through my mom, but when I was looking at a copy of my certificate I couldn't find a "certificate number" so I'm assuming it doesn't count as a "Certificate of Naturalization or a Certificate of Citizenship in my name", right? I read somewhere that I don't need it but I get nervous easily lol and I don't want to send it without being 100% sure. Should I send them a copy of my certificate of birth abroad (I'm pretty sure that's what I have)? I'm sending a copy of some pages of my passport, ie the front page with my picture and the pages that are stamped, but should I just go ahead and copy every page including blank ones?

Sorry for all the questions guys! Thanks so much!!

  6. I'm seeing conflicting answers on this one. So my fiance lives in Czech Republic and I'm wondering if they have to print out form G-325a and the Letter of Intent, sign both, and mail it to me? Would a scan suffice? If not, does anyone know if it has to be signed in ink? Or can my fiance just sign it online and e-mail it back to me? We're kind of in a hurry and unfortunately I realized a little late into the process that it may need to be original signatures.

Also, do we need to include a copy as well as an original in the packet?

    Thanks!

  7. I'm brand new here and have been going through the k-1 fiance visa petition process for a couple of weeks trying to get every thing in order, so i'm sorry if this has been asked or answered but I haven't been able to find anything.

Under "Applicants residence last five years" Neither my fiance nor I remember what month we moved into our homes, should we just leave it blank or will that look bad? My fiance doesn't remember the year either.

My fiance also wants to know if you have to write the time you were unemployed, so if you didn't have a job for a period of time between schooling and the job are you supposed to write "unemployed" under occupations?

All answers are appreciated!!! thank you!!
