As long as you married within 90 days of entry on the K-1 visa, it's fine.

Oh really are you sure about that?

There's no end date to file for AOS and to add more to what @geowrian said, applying for AOS as soon as your receive your marriage certificate is better because your medical exam done before K-1 visa is valid for one year for AOS. If you apply for AOS after an year then you will have to re-do the medical exam here.

    Are you sure about that?

After you marry, you will need to file for AOS to get a green card and obtain authorized stay in the US (the K-1 only grants 90 days of legal stay). When you do so, you can also include the I-765 and I-131 (+ supporting documentation) for an EAD and AP.

AP lets you travel abroad for short trips and return to the US...it's optional but recommended. There's no fee for either form when filed with an I-485.

It will take about 3-4 months from filing the AOS + EAD + AP forms to receive the EAD and/or AP. It's currently leaning closer to 4 months from what I'm seeing.

So it's nothing I can do for work right now before getting married?

  3. Ok so  I have

No. You must obtain an EAD first. You can do so after getting married and filing for AOS. ETA: 3-4 months (closer to 4 months currently).

Filing for an EAD only on the K-1 (prior to AOS) would be pointless as it expires at the end of your original 90 days of legal stay and still takes 90-120 days to obtain.

So I have apply for a EAD after the marriage? How long does it take to be approved?

My fiance had the same experience at his interview. If you look at the statistics, few males get K1 approved in Morocco. We waited for 14 weeks and our K1 was returned to the US. Have your fiance check with her US representative after it's been a month or more of AP.

Oh no I got approved after 3 days when I sent everything they need, may your fiance had a bad interview I don't know

There must be some box ticket on the paper or what does it say.

They either need more documents or you are in AP or denied.

    Did they keep your passport?

What did they tell you after interview?

And can you show a picture of the letter (please block all personal information first)

He asked me about more pictures n passport stamps

Assuming you mean your petition is approved and send to the Embassy, the USCIS right now has nothing to do with the petition anymore since it at the Embassy stage. OP, you could try contacting the Embassy again and explaining it has been 20+ days. If CEAC shows ready, it is at the Embassy.

Soo I have to wait little bit before call them ?

This is how mines worked , after I got. A letter from uscis saying that my case was sent to my fiancé a home country's us embassy we waited a month for the embassy in his country emailing us the I instructions of all the stuff my fiancé needed for his interview .                      they told us that once we had all the documents and medical exam they requested we needed to make photo copies of all the documents and a photo copy of the medical exam envelope which shown the the address of the clinic and the doctors name . Once we had everything ready my fiancé dropped off the photo copies at the embassy and 10 days later we recived and email stating the time and date of the interview Saying to bring all original copies of documents to the interview .

Ohh ok soo I have to wait ?

I'm not sure if all embassies work the same but when you sent them an email they should send you and automatic conformation email saying they recived it . Try messaging them again or if there is a number you can call you can try that too .

Yes that's what I get but they didn't email me for interview day or medical exam yes they said they received my email

I just went to the bank and asked for a paper of when I opened the account. She said is it for a visa application? I said yes. She mailed it about a week later. Most banks in the US know when you opened an account - has she gone in person to ask?

My Moroccan fiancé said they didn't ask for this st his interview. Then again they didn't keep his passport or ask for anything so had he not gotten put in AP I guess it could be different.

Oh did your fiance get approved or not yet
