  2. Greetings.

He needs to contact the college where he applied for ,I believe in order to be addmited there must be a record of an application that was sent to this college by your husband, he needs to gather  any record that would show his interest of attending this school (E-mail, stundent ID number, letters, anything that connects him to this university) even thought he never officially enrolled,  he was admitted by an USCIS officer  and officially inspected in the airport , , ,with that said he came into the country LEGALY so he can adjust his status they just want to make sure that his intention was to attend school prior to your marriage, I would highly recommend the assistance of an immigration attorney before you submit any document.

  3. Hello everyone I'm looking for some advice I'm currently working on the I 693 and I have scheduled an appointment to do all the exams etc..

But here is my concern the actual I 693 expires in 3 months and the interview will probably be 4-6 months after we filed the AOS, should I go ahead and do the exams (quiet expensive) and send it along with the form I 485 and I 130 or just wait and brings with me to the interview?

Would it still valid even though the form is already expired?

    Thanks beforehand !

  4. Hello friends of visa journey!

Well my wife and I have been working really hard for the last 3 months  gathering all the documents and filing out all the forms for our AOS package.

This website has helped me a lot. Very nice members always willing to share their experience to help others on their applications.

Now I'm really confused about how the form I 864 works we have attempted several times for the last 2 months to have  a friend or a family member to be our joint sponsor (We have lost several friends) . We already gave up on the idea of asking our family because they have turned their backs on us and there is very little we can do about it. We talked to our lawyer last December and he said that the only solution was for her the sponsor\petitioner to get a  job with more hours and better wage  at least while we are in the process and then we could use her latest pay stubs and a letter from her employer as a proof of income to submit our application. Now she has a full time job and we already have the letter from her employer and the pay stubs for january . But here is our concern, she was unemployed for the year 2014 and 2015 because she was a student last year 2016 she only made around $3000. So we worried that we might receive an RFE because of the lack of income for the last 3 years. Or will it be enough to prove that her income will be more substantial this year (above poverty guideline).???

Current income matters more than anything else, however if she has a better job, I suggest she keep it since living in the USA isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

Does that mean that we will be ok if we submit her current pay stubs and letter along with the I 864 ?

  7. Hello guys!

Currently my wife and I are filing the form I 864 but we just realized that she (sponsor petitioner) doesn't meet the poverty guideline $20,025 , so my stepfather who lives In the same household is willing to help us as a joint sponsor but he did not meet the poverty guideline for the past year on his taxes (2016) but this year he is on track to make way more than enough to file the I-864 he doesn't have pay stubs for this month January but he will get a letter from his employer. Will  that be enough  along with his w2s and tax return from 2016 we are planning on sending our AOS package by the 25th.

From your experience what would you recommend

    Thank you!

  8. Hello guys this is my first post on this forum.

    Thanks for answering my question.

I'm the intending immigrant and my wife and I have everything to send out our AOS package but we are having trouble filing the I-864 because she doesn't meet the guideline to sponsor me, so we are planning on using my stepfather as a co-sponsor (form I 864A) to combine her income to his, we all live in the same house in this case she will be his daughter in law. He can't file form I 864 by himself because he is under the guideline for a few hundred dollars.

    And here is my question.

Can he (as father in law) file a I 864 A along with my wife I 864 and if he can what would we need to prove it. (Documents)
