Kudo's to afrocraft (Love that idea).

OlmMe front loading isn't about alot of evidence. It's really about putting your evidence upfront instead of relying at interview they will bother to look at.
it's about putting quality not quantity upfront. Your evidence should tell a story like afrocraft so eloquently stated. The adjudicator at USCIS really doesn't give a whole lot of hoot what you send in They will approve with just a marriage certificate However the CO at embassy is another matter. They should be able to flip through your evidence page by page and see and feel what is being said without a word.
i have seen people send in 200, 300 pictures of nonsense. people looking like they rather be anywhere but in that picture. Unflattering or worst the kiss of the staged pictures. Too many selfies and staged shots.

I would put in for the vacation. Why can't you get a visit in before interview if you can't be there. It';s about time together not about you standing outside under the canopy or as I did the tree for hours. They aren't impressed.

Your approval could be day tomorrow next year so book that trip and go see your man.

Im on this site for encouragement and sound advice. I figured if you've been through something and can give advice that's helpful not sarcasim and criticism I appreciate it.

Never said to know everything or else I wouldn't be on this forum. My career is in Claims so I understand that just because you have a lot of documents doesn't mean you will be approve. Since that's my job as well so it's makes this process even more nerve racking for me. Since I've denied people with 100 pages and approved some with just 1.

I sent in hotel receipts, restaurant receipts, our travel tickets since we travelled, text messages, call log, snap shot video messages, pics, a letter of how we met, etc.

Maybe I didn't word it right. I reviewed, researched VJ, other sites, spoke to two immigration lawyers, and people who been through the process. I followed the guide on VJ to send my application then I front loaded as suggested. I would hate to be denied for something I didn't do right or missed.

I tried to make sure to send only pertinent information and pictures BUT like I said it was a lot.

I just want us be approved bottom line.

For moral support I want to be there. So that's why I was trying to save my time at work. I can afford to visit and I will but I was trying to be patient. Last visit was in May-June.

To be laughed at is not what I need or expected just because others are approved they seem to forget there journey.

Arrogance leads to ignorance but I still like the honesty on this site and I will update my status once I have the good news.

    Take care everyone!

Sending tons of pictures doesn't guarantee you with everything. But yes, i will keep you and your fiance in my prayers.

So I've heard. But, I just wanted whomever is looking/reviewing the application to see that I've visited his entry family and see that we travelled together. Not sure if they will review all that but I'm just very thoroughly. Plus, so many people say to front load(gotten approved) so I just wanted to do as much as I could to try not to have issues and they see that our relationship is "bonafide" in every way. Which is the lease of my concern to be honest since I know it is. My concern is the Timeline. I will keep my fingers cross for December or sooner. Thanks again.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. True enough, USCIS are still processing April 2017 petition. Getting an approval from USCIS really takes time and their timeline now minimum is 180 days maximum 200 days not including RFE. It really tests your patience. Just hang in there mate. I assume December is sufficient enough for you to get a feedback from them.

Hopefully no RFE since I sent a novel just about with photos :o. Thanks for your comment keep us in your prayers.

  4. I spoke to a Representative at the USCIS this morning since no status update on my claim and they received my petition on 05/24/17. I was told they are working on cases from 04/01/17, which I also saw that online somewhere as well. The gentleman told me that my processing is about a month away and that they are still within the normal processing time. I believe I have been patient my fiancé as well but should I get concerned if by December 1 I don't here anything? The Rep just reiterated about a month. I need to put my vacation time in at work and I have ALOT but planned on going to the interview. Now I'm getting anxiety that I either can't go or will loose my time since you can't transfer over 40hrs and have over 100+. A friend said just put time in anytime and change later(easier said than done)but I don't know. Do you think by December we will here something? I did front load. Any suggestions?

  5. I just want to thank each and every person who supports us all on our visa journeys as you have completed yours but are still here to help. There are still good people in the world I can see that through VJ. Thank you all in advance. I completed my own petition saving hundreds of dollars in paying someone to do the same thing I could do myself and this site helped tremendously!

Now, I have a few questions about the application process and want to make sure I'm putting my timeline in correctly since I'm trying to get a guesstimate of when I should try to plan a trip back to be there in support of my Fiancé at his interview phase.

Okay so I filed the I-129F K1 Visa application on 05/22/17 and sent it express mail and was told by the USPS that they would receive on 05/23/17.

-I received a text on 05/24/17 from the USCIS:

USCIS:  Your case was received. Receipt # WACxxxxxxxxxx. Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail. Msg & Data rates may apply. DO NOT REPLY

-I also received an email on 05/24/17:

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case.  This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS.

PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE

I signed up on the USCIS website to track the progress.

-On yesterday I received our photo book returned to me in the mail from the USCIS with a letter attached dated 05/23/17:

We are returning in item(s) you sent in support of your application/petition as it is a format we cannot place in your file folder for review by an officer during the adjudication process.
If you have any additional questions you may call etc.,

-I went onto the USCIS website and now I see this notice:

    Case Was Received

On May 22, 2017, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by June 21, 2017, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

    Next Steps

If we accept your case, you will receive a receipt notice.  If we reject your case, we will send you an explanation with instructions.

-I front loaded everything and then some plus I did attached the original photos as well. I know I have to be patient but not trying to worry as much since the application is sent off now.

-So what step are we on? What timeline date do I enter or do I wait on the notice?

I would guess that another reason they don't allow the petitioner to be present is so that the Consulate officer can conduct a Stokes interview, if they feel the need. That is when they get the petitioner on the phone or otherwise interviewed so that they can compare answers to common questions, in order to ascertain whether or not a relationship is indeed bonafide. If you were to be standing next to your fiancé during the interview, that would take the Stokes option out of the CO's toolkit.

    Yes it makes since.

  7. I am about to start the Visa process. I was going to go to Nigeria this month to get married and apply for a CR1 Visa everything was planned out. I asked for time off in November 2016 but now my job won't let me have and time off because of my position at work they need me there to help with some new process. No one can get time off they sent an announcement to everyone on my account. I have proof of this. So I suggested to my fiancé instead of waiting for us both to get time off again(he's a Math and Physics Teacher) we should apply for a K1 Visa

I had to change my visit, Hotel, and his family will need to reschedule their time off work. As to why we decided to do a K1 Visa now instead of the CR1, should I include that in my Paperwork? I know also with Nigeria K1 Visa aren't approved as much. But with us moving dates they won't have a decision until 2018 as far as the CR1 from my guesstimate. I would like him here like everyone else who applies as soon as allowed.

I just need to know should I include this information in the petition.

We tried a Vistor Visa but he wasn't approved, that was in September 2016.  He wasn't planning on staying we were trying to prepare for the Ceremony and let him meet my family in person. So should I still do another visit the trip will be shorter we Video Call, text, telephone calls, and chat everyday but but I can plan a trip a few months down the line but K1 could be proceeding by then. Please let me know what you think.
