Hello Art!

We got the interview, we were accepted at the interview! Had to get medical done, it took this long to get everything in order with the medical (the lady at the Chilean medical place is just absolutely crazy, she was telling my fiancee horror stories of fiancees waiting 8 years to be done with the process, that the medical exam price was going to jump to over double and that the embassy wasnt allowing any people in for over a year as of last week or some random junk like that that was not true at all!) He just dropped off medical today and we are waiting for the visa in hand. 

Already booked the ticket and he should be here soon!

After almost 8 months and an absolutely crazy last 24 hours my fiancée has his interview tomorrow! We were originally scheduled for Sept 4th but we contacted the embassy asked to be put on the waitlist for a closer interview date and contacted our congressman. After 10 business days of waiting for a response form the embassy our congressman sent a follow up email Wednesday at 10am. Wednesday at 4:50pm a call came that the embassy had an opening for Friday!
 
My fiancée has yet to get his medical done so we were feeling a bit down because it was obvious there was no way to get it done with less than 48 hours. Congressman messaged the embassy saying we didn't have the medical done yet but that we would try to get it done for Friday. Embassy messages back saying it's not a big deal, come to the interview and drop off the medical once you receive it! 
 
We are on our way! Fiancée is on his way to Santiago now for the interview tomorrow! We are so excited and hoping that everything turns out smoothly!

My fiancee had a successful interview at the Sydney Consulate on June 27th pending successful medical exam results.  Those successful medical results were shipped express the next day.  We've been stuck in AP since July 5th!  We are so close yet so far!

Hi , My finance just got one. In envelope is just paper work that sponsor send to process your K1 , Is  possible that your finance fallow lot of documents and it did not fit in one envelope .

Also good news, ALL of her immediate family (mom, dad, sister, and two brothers) were approved for travel visas to attend our wedding.

Congratulations for everyone! It is just so amazing seeing you getting visas and reuniting with your loved ones. I am moving to my fiancee in just a few weeks, right after I graduate university - defend my master's thesis. My fiancee had the interview with the US Consulate in Sydney yesterday and was approved on the spot!  After almost a full year apart we will be reuinted again before the end of July.  

Our case is finally on its way to us in Chile! Hoping the embassy gives us our interview date sometime next week! 

We blew pretty quickly through NVC so that was good, finally something in our favor in regards to time

After months of being apart my fiancé has arrived in the US.  The Atlanta airport is quite busy so the line for US Customs was incredibly long took him over 3 hours to get through.  When he finally got to an agent the conversation lasted 2 mins, they  explained the rules of the K1 visa: 90 days to get married, no international travel until the AOS is completed.
 
i was terrified while waited since his phone died I had no way to reach him but luckily some others had families on the immigration visa line and they let me know that the line was quite long.
 
With that said, I just wanted to send a giant thank you to everyone that answered any questions, you provided me with so much support during this trying time.
 
I wish you all the best during the rest of this process and a wonderful marriage.

i hope everyone here's going well! we're about to submit our adjustment of status later this week. got married May 19 and it's just been a busy storm of events for the rest of the month xD

Hey everyone, it has been a while now since I was last here. I had the interview on Wednesday last week and we got approved. The highlight of it all was the fact that the CO officer never asked to look at any evidence i had carried. She simply interviewed me and approved the visa. I call this an highlight because I had been told that since am from Uganda, an African country and therefore high fraud, and since I had met my fiance only once after we started dating, the first time of meeting being in 2012 when we simply became friends, that somehow she had to be there at the embassy! But I made it thru so easily. Thank u everyone esp the guy who started the original thread ( I have forgotten his name since he disappeared), thank u Ash for starting part two, thank u Geo for keeping us sane when there were no approvals coming thru, and thank u everyone who has contributed on this forum.
