  1. Hello! My fiancé and I finally received our NOA2 168 days after our NOA1 and we're eager to hear from the NVC. I know the letter we received said processing times are between 2-4 weeks and to not call before 30 days have passed. I was really hoping to spend the holidays with my fiancé but I'm discouraged by how long this is taking. I know all I can do is prepare the next steps ahead of time and be patient but it still sucks. I have a couple questions, if anyone has any insight to them please let me know!

    1)  After I receive the letter from the NVC saying our petition has been sent, how long should my fiancé expect to wait to hear from the US embassy in London to schedule an interview? I know it's different for everyone, I'm just looking for a rough estimate so I can try to plan.

    2)  I'm preparing the affidavit of support and my father agreed to be my fiancé's sponsor. Do I still fill out a separate affidavit of support for myself or do I not need to because I don't make enough money and he can fully sponsor?

Thanks so much! I hope everyone's process is going smoothly :)

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I don't have to tell you how nothing is average around this journey, but you have average of 20 days to get to NVC.  Call NVC to get your LND number.  Use option 1 and 5 and option 1 and 7 until they give you your number.  Call every couple of days.  When you get your number, start getting your medical arranged.  There are some people here that just did the whole process thru your embassy.  Look up GAZLISA and also TRILOBYTE timelines and profiles.  Use the search button above and to right to find them.  They are really good people, so feel free to message them for any questions or tips.

Feel free to post questions and updates here in this forum, as if someone here doesn't have the answer, they are more than helpful to find it or point in the right direction.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your help! I definitely have more questions and I won't hesitate to post!

  3. Hello everyone! I set out our I-129F on march 1st. My fiancé and I waited 168 days between our NOA1 and NOA2, it's taken forever! I've tried looking at similar timelines to get an idea of how much longer the rest of the process will take but I can't find any similar to our times that have taken this long. How long should I expect to wait before my fiancé is contacted for an interview? Will we get to spend the holidays together or is that just wishful thinking?

I hope most of you March filers are well on your way by now! Best of luck to everyone!

  4. Hello! I sent my K1 visa packet to uscis on march 1st and received my noa1 shortly after along with a text message and email. When I enter the reference number in the "check my case status" program on the uscis site it just says my case was received and to follow the instructions on the letter I was sent, but there's no instructions. I'm just wondering if there's something I should be doing right now or if I just have to wait until I'm contacted again by uscis. I want to be prepared for the next steps so I don't waste any time getting my fiancé over here! If you've filed around the same time as me, are you still waiting?

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  5. Hello!  I'm about to send out my K1 Fiance visa packet with my I-129F and supporting documents.  I have everything ready but I just realized that the G-1145 form for e-notification of application/petition acceptance is out of date (says "expires 09/30/2016") but I can't find an updated version on this site or the USCIS site.  Is the form I have acceptable?  Also, if anyone has experience filing the G-1145 form, how long did it take for you to receive an e-notification?  I'm aware that timelines vary, I just want to get an idea of how long it will take.

    Thanks for your help!

  6. Hi!  My fiance and I are also new to this site and the whole visa process.  I'm originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina!  My fiance is from Liverpool, England.  She loves America, especially the Southeastern weather!  We're still in the process of preparing our visa and getting ready to move countries.  There's so much to prepare for, it's crazy!  I'm sure your fiance will adjust quickly :) Missing family, friends, and pets will probably be the hardest thing about moving, but you can always go visit!

  7. Hello! I'm in the process of putting together my I-129F fiance visa packet and have some questions about the evidence I need to provide for proof of having met in person and proof of ongoing relationship.  We have lots of pictures together; I dated and gave a description of each.  I have email confirmations of airline tickets I've bought and I plan to use those as well.  My fiance and I have been together for about 2 1/2 years and have visited each other about 15 times total, so we have plenty of evidence.

    My questions are:

1.)  How much evidence should I provide?  How many pictures?  How many airline tickets?  Should I include the airline tickets of my fiance coming to visit me or just my airline tickets going to see her?  Should I include all of the airline tickets or is it too much?

2.)  As for proof of ongoing relationship, what type of conversations should I screenshot and print out?  Obviously nothing inappropriate, but are conversations of us just talking about our day proof or does there need to be more substance?  How many conversations should I include?  Should I include conversations from years ago or are recent ones good enough?  Is it better to include multiple platforms used for conversation like Viber, Facebook, Whatsapp, Skype, etc. or does it not matter?

3.)  Are photos together, airline tickets, and conversation screenshots enough total evidence or is there something else I should include?

Sorry this is so long, I just want to be thorough to make sure everything is done correctly!  My fiance is my world and I don't want to mess this up!

Thank you so much if you take the time to reply!  It means a lot!

  8. Thank you! I was thinking it would be neater and easier to understand if I just put everything on the attachment sheet, so I think I'll do that.  I was a student for 4 of the past 5 years so I had a lot of random summer jobs and some I can't remember the months or years I worked there.  I'm hoping if I call each of the employers they will have me on file and can tell me the dates I worked there but it's been years.

When I was a student and unemployed do I put that on the form as well?  Should I state that I was a full-time student or that I was unemployed?

  9. I'm filling out my G-325A form to send with my I-129F.  I read that it is preferred that we type our answers into the documents then print them out and sign them instead of filling them in by hand.  Under "Applicant's employment last five years" I can't fit the full name and address of employer in the space provided (it won't fit in one line).  I know I can attach a sheet if I can't fit all my previous employers onto the form provided, but is that what I should do in this case since it won't fit in the line?  Should I just continue the address onto the second line and leave the other spaces to the right empty? Should I just put all my employers on an attached sheet since none of them fit in one line?  Please help if you know the answer!  Thanks!

  10. Thank you all so much! I feel better already :)

I don't have any red flags but we do have a gay flag ?️‍? haha! I don't know if that makes it any harder. She's from England and I'm from the U.S. We've been together for 2 1/2 years and each have visited each other about 8 times so about 16 trips total. We have loads of pictures and tickets to use as evidence but there's so much I'm not sure which ones to use. I'm not worried about not getting approved because of legitimacy I'm just worried I'll mess something up by filling out a form wrong or not giving the right evidence. I'll be asking more questions soon! Thank you all again for your support! This place is amazing!

  11. Hello! I just need some encouragement that I can finish this K-1 Visa by myself. I've started on it to some degree but there's just so much to do that it becomes daunting and I feel like it's impossible! I just found this site and it already looks helpful so hopefully it will be! Is there anyone out there who can tell me it's going to be fine and it won't take me weeks to do? I know I can do it I'm just feeling discouraged. Any kind words or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
