this will vary by embassy.
Also noting your country flag, I would suggest forgoing travel and concentrating on the interview. Why anyone can't work around the interview date as per the NVC is a little beyond me. I would think it would be a priority.
My citizenship is now US and my husband is Canadian. The embassy he has to visit is Montreal. There are all kinds of reason why a person cannot travel to Montreal on a date provided by NVC. Im hoping he would get his appointment soon.

I am trying to reschedule but there isn't any date available at all. I went till up to 2020. I am sure this would be any bug. Should I email the embassy?
This is scary. My husband is about to miss his interview as he had travel plans on that date. We were hoping it would be easy to reschedule.

It takes about 18 months in Houston to get your interview scheduled.

Its strange that nowhere in the official website do we find instructions on how to reschedule. On this forum we learnt that you have to wait for the date to pass. Only then will you get the option to reschedule.

Thank you, and yes I waited for after my deliver to attend the interview. (my doctor suggest I waited as well).
According to my previous post on page 2, I checked the calendar after my missed interview date. And the earliest I could schedule for was approx 3 wks after the original date, however with that being said, it really depends on the Consulate that your interview will be held at.
I did notice that there's always at least 2-3 days available each month.
I can't say how many days or what dates are available to reschedule. I'd check for you, but I just notice that you're from Pakistan and not Canada.
Whichever date that you decide to reschedule, just keep in mind that it should be before your Criminal Record Check/Police Report expires. (and medical if you've already done it). If either of those expire, you'll have to obtain new Report and re-do your medical, which is quite costly and time consuming.
Thank you so much. That gave a lot of information. I was under the impression that I would lose months and years in rescheduling. Im curious as to how you could check the availability for me. I'm enquiring for my husband who I have sponsored and he's a Canadian citizen. Im now a US citizen (let me make the changes in my profile). and we're talking about an interview in Montreal.

Hi @hfarnaz,
rescheduling was easy, it's all done online through the site: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ .
Once the original appointment has been missed, you'll be able to reschedule. After log-in you'll see a calendar with some available dates.
I'm not sure what you mean when you ask if I had a long wait. please clarify.
I've completed POE, green card received last month and baby is doing great
Thank you!
I hope was able to answer part of your question. If you can clarify what you mean, I'll try my best to provide further details.
Congrats on all those achievements
. I would like to know after how many days of the original date were you able to reschedule your interview or rather , after how many days was the next date available? I know you must have waited for after your delivery?

Thanks @NikLR
During my call, I inquired whether it would make a difference if I were to contact the consulate and the Rep says the consulate will just direct me back. Anyway, I sent an email after my call, Hope I sent it to the correct department. [montreal-iv-dv@state.gov]
Received an automated reply:

Due to weather conditions, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas is rescheduling the Naturalization Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the MO Campbell Educational Center, to Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
Can you please share how long it took after your citizenship interview to get the oath ceremony in Houston?

Just wondering if anybody here send in their naturalization application together with application for a fee waiver. How long does it takes to hear from uscis if your fee waiver application is approve or not?
Just wanted to report as it might help someone, that I filed for a fee waiver for N400, form for citizenship, in the first week of December and I just got the text from USCIS on the 23rd that my fee has been waived. This is amazing and I am so grateful. I put in my tax return from last year and wrote a letter telling them how I had been laid off and facing financial hardship temporarily. I hope to be back on my feet within a year. Extremely simple, quick and straightforward. Thank you USCIS!

Me, too. Thankfully. I was getting frustrated. I missed 19th june but today resceduled for 3 August. I'd like to add that you have to look carefully at the available dates. The highlight is not really bright. a short sighted person like me could have missed it. Good luck!
