    No I am not approved yet, not worried about being approved because I will eventually be approved. I also do not worry about how long before it’s approved. considering my birth country, I am allowed to have dual citizenship. This looks like a strange situation but I can not explain why me and at this critical time. Thanks to all who responded. I appreciate.

    I had my n400 interview two months ago - June 8. It’s exactly 2 months today and I am still waiting for either a decision or return of my original passport which the officer decided to keep, take a look at it when less busy and send it back as soon as possible. is it normal for an officer to keep my passport after n400 interview and not send it back to me as promised, seeing that I had purchased a plane ticket for an important and emergency trip to my home country next two weeks? I called USCIS customer service and was told to send a form to request it, which I did but haven’t heard anything yet. Is there anything else I can do to get my passport before my trip in two weeks.
