Yeah. It could be another umbrella statement to cover themselves for an increased number of interviews caused by specific red flags, but still having waivers.

So, everyone who gets invited for an Interview has in your Opininon red Flags ????  How about READING the new Regulations first, befor you are starting to make assumptions?  ### above mentionend, USCIS will Interview most everyone that wen thru Consular Processing and has not been interviewed by USCIS previously!

This may only count for those who filed after Dec 2018. Almost everyone who filed in early-mid 2018 has had their interview waived, and most cases from early summer last year are just now being adjudicated with waivers.

I'd be interested to see the number of waived people who filed AFTER Dec 2018.

So far Every Person I know , who filed on on before Dec 2018 has gotten an Interview Notice. In the Regulation USCIS states specifically, that Interviews will only be waived, if all of there Requirements are met.  1 Requirement for that is to have been interviewed previously by USCIS, which is NOT the Case when someone went thru Consular Processing.

  3. My Timeline for I751 so far:

    2019

March 20  Case received in Phoenix

    March 27  Extension Letter received

April 4  Appointment Letter for Biometrics

April 15  Biometrics , after this my Status did not change until May 25, then it said  " Case ready to be scheduled for Interview"

May 22 Email recieved stating that USCIS will schedule an Interview

May 30 my Case Status changed to Interview scheduled

June 3 received Email that an Appointment was scheduled.

June 13 received Invitation for Interview, scheduled for July 8th

Note: Invitation Letter came from  National Benefit Center, Leesummit, Missouri

so it is going really fast for me!

  4. As of December 2018 USCIS has reversed the Regulations on Interview Waivers. Where it was the exeption before to have an Interview when filing ROC, it is now reversed, meaning most everybody has to have an Interview to lift conditions on Green Card. If you where not previously interviewd by USCIS - which is the Case if you filed outside of the USA, then you will most likely be Interviewed. https://www.boundless.com/blog/new-interview-requirement-for-many-spouses-of-u-s-citizens-green-card-holders/?fbclid=IwAR03ro6fx9fK4MraMO0qGV_B6nMAxiJD1w6NtZkr6I359yA2FiwBROw6-fU I filed for ROC in March, and received my appointment Letter for Interview Yesterday.

  6. Hey, thats great news :-)

You can pay the Fee Cash or with Credit Card. They even asked me if i wanted to pay in Dollars or Euro. I paid in $.

It is true that you can´t bring anything other then your Paperwork and ID inside. Babyformular is allowed, you just have to show it at the security check. Instructions on what you can bring is also found on the Website from Frankfurt Consulate.  I just left my Phone in the Car. They dont have lockers, but there is supposed to be a Kiosk near by, who stores Stuff for you..  the Fee if i remember right is 2 Euro, but i am not sure about this.

As for the Kids - when i was there there was a Family with 3 or 4 Kids, so i dont think that is a Problem, since there are also Families applying for Visas :-)

    Good luck for the Interview!

When are you leaving then ?

  7. HI, i think your still in Time for the approval email. I know of cases where it took up to two weeks.. or longer. Did you send the Confirmation Page from the DS260 with your Paper work?

You have to pay the Fee at Interview Day in Frankfurt ( $325 )

The last payment you have to make is the $220   Immigration Fee bevor you fly to the US. This is to produce the Green Card and needs to be paid after you recieve the Visa in Passport, because you need the Alien number to pay it.

I still need to pay this one also, i am just waiting for our orders....

Just keep in mind, that the Visa will expire with your medical! My Interview was February 1. But my Visa expires July 23, because my medical was in January..

  8. Good Morning,

well my Relocation is not going at all right now ... lol We are effected of the federal hiring freeze, and our relocation was put on hold. So for the Time beeing we are waiting on new Orders...

Great News about your Visa though..  Step two should not take this long... i got my approval email about 10 Days after i send out the final paperwork. From here on out everything works over email.

Once your paperwork is reviewed, you receive an email to send in a request to schedule appointment. This Request is usually answered within 1 Day. Then you are able to schedule your appointment :-) Wait Time should be around 1 or 2 Weeks dependeng on the work load. A Friend of mine, scheduled hers last week for march31.

    wishing you all the best!

    Tine

  9. I received my Visa 2 days after the Interview.

The packet is a big brown envelope which has your Passport with the Visa printed in it ( you have to leave your Passport at the Consulate on Interview day when you are approved ) It also contains another brown envelope which you are NOT allowed to open! It contains all the Paperwork from your Visa process and will be filed with Homeland Security in the US on the Day you enter the US.

The Immigration fee that you have to pay is for printing your Greencard. It is 220$

Removal of Condition: This you have to do if you are less than 2 Years married when you apply for an immigrant Visa. You receive a Greencard which expires in 2 Years. 90 Days before the expiration Date you have to apply for removal of the conditional status, meaning you have to proof that you're still married... When approved you will get a 10 Year Gc...

All of this Infomation you find also on the USCIS Website and here as well:  http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides

  10. Thank you. Well i received my passport and the Visa Packet in the mail today...

I already wrote an email to Frankfurt Visa Unit and they forwarded my Inquiery to the appropriate Section. Still waiting for an answer as of right now.

I just can´t wrapp my head around the fact, that  the US government can go ahead and just turn the Life´s of Families up-side-down like this... We gave Notice to our Landlord, i resigned from my job , the movers where scheduled and so on... and in an instance it all comes to a screeching hold....

  11. My Husband is an US Citizen, i am a CR1 Visa holder ( german) - The Visa is still on its Way by Postal Service.

Husband works for the US Government in Germany and was supposed to Permant change his Servicestation ( PCS ) to New Mexico on March 5.

We had the shippment of our Housholdgoods ( HHG ) already scheduled, and now where told not to ship anything.

I want to know if i can put the Visa activation on hold somehow - for example by sending the paket back to Frankfurt Consulat General and just pick it back up when we know for sure ( i am aware that i might have to repeat my medical) or if i have to travel regardless to the USA ans activate the Greencard

  12. Hi erveryone,

my Husband works as GS for the Department of Defense here in Germany. He is supposed to PCS on March 5. We are all set, i resigned from my Job to the end of February, we gave notice to our Landlord, we had movers scheduled...

Now this morning my Husband received an Email stating NOT TO SHIP any HHG, as he might be effected by the Federal Hiring Freeze . Which i thought would only effect new hires, but not PCS :-(

Now what do i do ???

My Visa has been mailed out to me Yesterday.

Is there a Way to put the activation on hold ???

or do i have to activate it in 6  Month - and then what??

  13. just read the news...

    Final summary

Donald Trump’s executive order to close America’s borders to refugees and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries has been swiftly enforced. The order blocks to the US from citizens from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Libya for 90 days and as well as indefinitely suspending admission of Syrian refugees.

  14. Hi, as far as the Medical goes, i would recomand that she wait until Step 2 is approved and she get´s the email with the request to proceed and get her medical done.

When my request to Schedule the Interview was granted, the email told me right off hand, that the first available Appointment was Wednesday 1. February. and the Calendar only showed February or later.. for February where still slots available, but mostly the real early ones at 7:15 am.

This is what the email will look like :
