Thanks everyone. I just got off the phone with USCIS and the agent I spoke to said they will schedule an infopass appointment for me. I don't think she quite understood why I needed an infopass appointment but she was happy to arrange it. She requested the local field office contact me to schedule it and I should get a cal in the next 48-72 hours.

I am a permanent resident and had my conditions lifted in January 2019. Unfortunately, USPS mishandled my green card delivery and it was lost for a while before it was returned to sender. I've already submitted a request for the green card to be returned to me with USCIS but it has been almost three months and I've no idea when it will arrive.
My NJ drivers license expired this week and I provided the I797 notice of action letter that states my restrictions are lifted and I'm a lawful permanent resident, along with various other bits of ID. They said they couldn't renew again unless they see the new green card, which i don't have. Is there anything else I can provide? I have no idea when the green card will arrive and need to be able to drive. We have an eight-month old daughter who has some minor health issues and has to regularly visit a dermatologist. Is there anything I could do or get at an infopass appointment?

This is the first year I'll be preparing tax information and I'm a little confused as to how my wife and I should file.
- I'm a UK citizen, my wife is a US citizen
- We married in Feb 2015
- I continued living and working in the UK until I completed the visa process and became a permanent resident. I moved to the US a few days later, at the end of January 2016.
Can we file as married, filing jointly? From what I have read, I understand that I was a non-resident alien for the first few weeks of January. I believe this means that we can file as MFJ, but we could not file electronically as I need to delcare, by way of a separate letter that I provide with the tax return, that I wish to be treated as a resident alien for the entire tax year. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance! This site has been a great source of information during our time working on the immigration process!

I was able to book an infopass appointment and get my passport stamped. NJ MVC accepted this and renewed my license for a year. Thanks for the advice!
