  1. Good morning everyone, hope it was a good weened. If someone can help me with this question, it will be very kind of you - some of you mentioned DHS cashed the check through ACH transfer. I am wondering how ACH transfer works. Do you remember if this was a pending transaction in the morning? You know when someone deposit a check in an account, it shows up as a pending transaction earlier in the day and it clears by the end of that business day. But a debit transaction goes through instantly.

Does ACH transfer work more like a check or a debit transaction?

  2. I'm praying that we get a checklist to the interview. I'm confused now the earlier post said likely not rfed for incomplete tax returns? We're on NBC Stage now past our 6 weeks wait and was put on supervisor review on Friday. Now I'm worried it will push back our case because of that tax return without w2

Let's hope they send a checklist instead. Did you send any recent paystubs or bank statements? I don't know if that would make any difference. My wife sent her last four pay stubs, but that covered only one month since she gets paid weekly. One good thing each of her paystubs at least mention her total pay so far in this year.

We ordered our transcripts last week, but hopefully we wouldn't get a RFE.

    Good luck with your application.

  3. I only sent 3 years tax transcripts, 4 most recent pay stubs, a letter from employer, and we did send 2 bank statements with the I-485 as some of our marriage evidence. I didn't know we were supposed to send W2s.

Hey, you are good. IRS transcripts are sufficient, we sent form 1040 that we used to file tax return using Turbo tax. I found that USCIS may ask for W2s if applicants only send form 1040, as some suggested one can very easily edit these forms and send them, so they ask for W2s; but an IRS transcript has all the details of W2 already, which is sufficient for USCIS officials.

I sent w2 but is it necessary with official IRS transcript?

    I didn't send the statement....darn ?

  4. For i-864, we only sent federal 1040s for last three years, our recent paychecks, and my wife's(she is the sponsor) bank statements. Until we went through this forum, we didn't realize we needed to send IRS transcript of the Tax Return, not the turbotax form that we had from last three years. We just ordered our tax return from IRS Get Transcript website.

Do anyone know if they always issue ref for missing W2, when you submit 1040 without them? Or, sometime they just want to see you have them at the interview? I saw a couple of posts from folks who forgot to send their W2s and were worried about it like us, but when I checked their timeline, it showed they got their EAD on time and not issued any RFE.

    Please advise.

Most likely we will get a RFE for W2 or the IRS transcript. Bummer :(

We are just hoping for the best and preparing for the worst; ordered IRS copies anyway. Probably we will just have to wait and see.
