  1. Hi,just to share,i also need a Qatar clearance for my K1 visa.I called the Qatar embassy here in manila and they told me the new process on how to obtain it.They gave me the number of WWW express to call which is affiliated of DHL. I called them(www express)and they emailed me the requirements needed to submit for Qatar clearance, after i completed the requirements I went to their branch in mall of asia and submit the requirements by end of May.They will be the one who will send it to qatar embassy then embassy will forward it to DOHA.They told me processing time is 2 to 3 months, but i hope not that too long.I was still able to have my interview last June 22 without the clearance i explain to the consul about he process and show my receipt and tracking number for police clearance but then he said my visa was approved but can only be issue after i send them my Qatar clearance. My case is still in AP and they gave me a letter or form  where i can submit to any 2GO branch once i receive my qatar police clearance and ready to send to USEM.By the way we tried to email the CEID and got reply, they ask me my visa number before when i was in qatar luckily i still have copy on it,i send it to them and they said they will make follow up for my request and email me for the update. Im praying now for quicker process.Good luck to you, much better if you can have qatar clearance before your interview so that there will be no reason for pending process for your visa.

    Hello @Herhorizon.

    (Philippine-based beneficiaries)

    -----

Yes, as of 3pm today there are only 7 remaining slots for JULY 6. And that's the earliest. 😭😭

You can not schedule an appointment over the phone if you have not received the eligibility letter, so you have no choice but to do it online to get the earliest date possible.

For now, you may opt to follow the below steps:

1st: Let your fiance call the embassy to double check if they have 'actually' received your petition inspite the READY NVC status (just to be sure). If they said yes they have received it, go ahead with the remaining visa application steps. Don't wait for the eligibility letter, etc. Ignore their advice to wait for the letter. 😊

2nd: Pay the visa thru BPI.

    3rd: Complete the DS 160

    4th: SLEC Registration online

    5th: SLEC MEDICAL

All she needs to present to SLEC guard are the ff:

    Valid passport with photocopy

    4pcs 2x2 photos

NVC CEAC Ready status showing Case # (screenshot is ok)

DS 160 Confirmation Page (showing Case #)

    NOA2

If she can manage to arrive there between 3-4am, 90% sure she'll finish it in 1 day (if xray results are fine, no sputum test.)

Sure, i will update you if i happen to get favorable response to move my interview date way ahead July 6.

Tell your fiance to message me, if she needs help and instructions. Just PM me. :)

Best of luck! And looking forward to see you both in Hawaii.

    Aloha! 😊

When we go to the CEAC website it shows "Ready" status there. How do you do the SLEC registration online?

Hello. You're correct. I was able to get in for my medical without the interview appointment letter, scanned NVC letter and embassy eligibility letter yet.

What i just presented were the ff:

    passport

    photos

    SLEC Online Registration form

    DS 160 Confirmation

    CEAC 'Ready' status (screenshot)

    NOA2

    Thanks. :)

    Aloha!

So you got your medical done with just showing those items? How did you get the SLEC Online Registration Form? What did you do for getting the DS 160 Confirmation?

Hello @TerrenceR, thank you for the headsup. I was able to schedule my interview online just TODAY due to the delay in my medical. I was instructed to take the psych exam and evaluation due to annulled status (I'm the petitioner). I thought i won't take this exam anymore coz the one declared mentally incapacitated in my annulment decree was my former husband and not me. Well, i guess it's really up to the assigned doctor reviewing the papers. Though i have no qualms on this coz i was advised by the staff that this is just a protocol that i need to take. Nothing to worry about. :)

Then as im about to schedule, only to my surprise that the earliest available interview date is JULY 6, 2017!!! 😭😭😭 We were targeting late May or early June!!! So, i have no choice but to get that July 6. I have a confirmed appointment already.

My question: Do i have a chance to move the date earlier like mid-June? May i request the embassy customer service to help me find an earlier date if there have been 'cancelled' slots made by other applicants ahead of me?

    Hope to get an advice.

    Aloha! 😊

Hey Aloha. Is that true about what you are saying for scheduling an interview? Our case is now also "Ready" at the embassy in Manila and my fiancee has been working on the paperwork. Our form DS-160 is ready for review and submission. She still has to take her medical yet. We were hoping to schedule an interview for the first part of June. Let me know what is up and if you were able to get an earlier appointment by calling them.

We also still have to pay the embassy interview fee too. My fiancee also has not received any kind of notification from the embassy yet concerning the checklist of things to do for the interview. Our case has been ready at the embassy since last Tuesday May 9.

Keep me appraised of all of this.

  5.

That's what I did.  I don't have interview appointment when I undergone my medical examination on March 29, 2017. I just presented the screenshot of my case status READY with the case number on it, along with the other requirements for medical exam.

After I passed the medical exam, I paid the visa fee on March31,2017. The same day, I made an appointment for my interview. April11 , had my inteview and was approved 😀

How long did your medical take at SLEC? Did your medical take the 2 days that as stated for the length of time for the medical?

  6.

To all those waiting for NoA2, things go super fast once you get your respective Case Numbers. So, hang in there.Yours will surface soooon. We're all in this together, right? Let's help each other as much as we can by updating our timeline so we may cast some light to those who are on the wait and somehow pace our respective schedules. :)

    Aloha! 😊

Congratulations Aloha. Just got our case number from NVC on May 5th. Right now if we go to CEAC website it still shows case still at NVC. Fiance is going to Manila on Monday to do the NBI and Cenomar. Only have one thing that can slow down our interview and that is a police clearance from Qatar where she worked at for more than 6 months out of country. Thanks for all the information and the links that you previously put here for Philippine beneficiaries as have told my fiance of this. Good luck and we are going to look forward to visiting you in Hawaii.

  7. Great news everyone. Just got done talking to NVC and we have our new case number. HEE HAW!!!!!   We were approved by USCIS on April 13th and new case number from NVC on May 5th. NVC also told me that our application has not yet been sent to the embassy.

Question though. Now that we have our case number from the NVC we can now track the status of our case on the CEAC website, correct?

Thanks everyone here for the great support and help. OMG I am so happy now again because this just means that will be able to see my loved one soon.

Good luck to everyone else who is waiting.

Just remember keep the faith because your time is just around the corner too.

So I've been watching this thread and I'm a bit confused. I see people keep posting 130 or 120 days until approval. So is this how long it takes before you get the visa approval or before they send it off to NVC and interviews start happening?

    Hello Tunapiano,

First would like to make you aware that this forum is for K-1 visa and notice that you are applying for IR-1/CR-1 visa. There is a separate forum for members that are applying for that kind of visa. As to your question about days until approval, those have been the average number of days for the USCIS to approve the K-1 visa applications prior to being sent to the NVC. Once it has gotten to the NVC, they then assign another case number to the application that will be used by the Embassy handling the visa and also that case number is a way for to track the applications progress to the Embassy. Once it is at the Embassy they then send out a packet to the beneficiary with instructions for paperwork to be completed along with the medical prior to going to the interview and getting approved for the visa. What I have just told you is the process for the K-1 visa. Not sure if it is the same for the type of visa you have applied for. Best advice is that you check with the forum concerning the type of visa you applied for to get advice.

  9. Question here for anyone who has their fiancé needing to get a police clearance from Qatar for their interview. My fiancé is from the Philippines. She had worked in Qatar for more than the six month time mentioned for Embassy interview. Right now still waiting for the NVC case number, case was approved by USCIS on April 13th. From what I have researched thus far is that she can just go to the Qatar Embassy in Manila to request and/or get her police clearance for the time that she was living and working there. Would like to know if that is correct she can just go to the Qatar Embassy to request that police clearance and would also like to know as to what kind of time span it would take for her to get that police clearance so that we can factor in that wait time to help figure out when to set up her medical/interview times?

On a side note any December Filers get their NVC number yet? I got my approval April 17th, so still waiting for NVC to receive my stuff

I got my approval on April 13th. Have called the NVC the last 2 days and they tell me it will take up to 6 weeks before they receive the application. So I'm right there with you Redheadguy. When you look at the stats here on VJ for time between NOA2 and NVC receive it shows it to be 20 days. If I also remember correct I have seen posts here on this forum of people getting their NVC case number in around 3 weeks from their NOA2.

Hi! I need help with i-134 Part 1, #12 Iam __ years of age and have resided in the United States since (Date) (mm/dd/yyyy).

I was born in New Jersey and moved to Hawaii for like 3 years then I went to the Philippines to study until I graduated college.. and then I moved back to Hawaii last June 2012. What date should I use?

    THANK YOU!!

    Irvin,

I have been looking at Form I-134 and hopefully in answer to your question as to what to put in question 12 I believe you would put nothing there. If you would relook at that section it is for a person that is not a citizen based on birth in the United States or a person who is non-citizen U.S. national based on birth in America Samoa. So if you are a U.S citizen by birth in the U.S. then you can pass up that section.

  12. Our application was approved on the 13th. Can go to the app and to USCIS website and they both say case was approved but as of yet have not received an email or text informing me of such. Yes, I did submit the form with that information on it for replies on case status. Was just wondering if anyone could provide a reason to why have not received that kind of notice?

Also since we were approved on Thursday the 13th going to start calling the NVC next Friday to start checking on whether they have received our case and to check on the case status there.

Yup @Roger & Grace. We really hope that, too. So let it be you or @Jon & Malen. If lucky, 4 filipina fiances to 'possibly' meet at the embassy interview as we are just days away per our respective timelines hahaha. If things go smooth, 2months is the average processing time from NOA2 to Interview. USEM is quite fast at this phase. That's proven with recent VJ data. Phew!!! Some were actually less than that. Anyway, hope you both get approved anytime SOOOON along with other Phil-based beneficiaries, and non-Phil-based ofcourse. We're family here in VJ. We're all in this together spreading hopes with realistic expectations.

Since i joined here, I have such feels of joy whenever I see approvals posted here especially those who are way past 100 days.

It pays to fill our hearts and mind with nothing but positivity.

    Aloha!!!! 😀

Yes for sure I agree Aloha. Wishing the best for both Roger&Grace and Jon&Malen. It would be something if all 4 of our fiances were to be having their interview at the same time. Just even to have 2 of our fiances meeting for the interview would be something. Yes I'm now thinking that it will be sometime around mid June for when my fiancé would be coming here. What about you Aloha?

I am so happy for you!! I have been reading your quotes for a long time, I am just after you, and seeing people after us both was getting entirely frustrating, Good Luck to you!!

Thanks nealreal. I will be wishing and praying for your approval to happen soon. Just don't let the frustration get to you as it was getting to me also. Keep the faith!!!

For Philippine-based beneficiaries, this is what packet 3 looks like which will be sent (mostly not) by the embassy. So, might as well Ipost it here so you can pace up your sched without waiting for the 'embassy letter'. :)

After NOA2 when NVC has forwarded your case to USEM, you need to prepare for this Packet 3/list of instructions and requirements:

Hey Aloha, thanks for the congrats on our approval. Also thanks for the information you have just posted concerning what is now in store and coming up for the interview. Will definitely be going over all of that with my fiancée starting this weekend. Again thanks.

  16. Ok this is getting to be to much concerning what date needs to be in the timeline for the approval estimate. First someone tells you that it is the date that your application was received to be indicated. Then another person tells you that it is supposed to be the notice date from your NOA1. This needs to get set straight by someone who is a moderator for these forums. This confusion needs to stop!!! I am also one that is getting frustrated over all of this confusion as to what date is supposed to be entered in a persons timeline. I do understand fully though that for the stats you use your received date.

Today is day 111 since received date. I do feel for those filers from the 1st, 2nd, 7th and 13th of December though. Those so few cases from those days that have not been touched yet must be sitting at the very bottom of some piles on some adjudicators desk. Cases all around their received date are being touched. The anxiety and wait must be killing those filers.

Hey @Herhorizon, my petitioner fiance resides in Oahu, Hawaii. Since our timelines are almost the same and your fiance is also from the Philippines like me, it would be nice if we'd have dinner for a simple celebration when you tour her around Hawaii. :) Glad you enjoyed Hawaii the last time you visited. :)

Our received date is Dec 28. Day 102 today. Also awaiting NOA2.

May we all get our respective NOA2 next week.

    Happy weekend! :)

Sure thing Aloha. Will keep that dinner date in mind for when we come there. Personally I have been to Hawaii many time and love it there. Just wish that could live there but so expensive to live there if you don't have a good paying job and need to buy a place to live. Keep in touch so that can set up that dinner date for when we go there.
