Mine too. Did you receive your biometrics?
Yeah, they said they'll reuse the ones from removal of conditions that were taken in January.

Argh that's annoying. Fingers crossed its super temporary. Really excited for my husband to become a US citizen.
I also wonder how they do the logistics of assigning cases and things like that. I actually always thought it'd be pretty fascinating to work at USCIS.

Anybody have biometircs reused for I751 and then reused again for N400?
Yeah, they sent us a letter saying they're reusing my husband's I751 biometrics from back in January

Most people fall under 5 year rule.
Makes sense. Thank you!!!!

We just started working on the application today, my husband's window opens on the 28th.
How much more evidence besides tax documents should we be submitting?

My husband and I have started working on his application for citizenship. He qualifies after 3 years of being a permanent resident due to being married to me, a US citizen.
Why, then, does the application want work experience for 5 years, and even more concerning, the dates he's been out of the US for the past FIVE years instead of just 3? He has only been in the US 3.5 years so of course there is a lot of time spent outside the US in the 1.5 years before he moved here. Will that count against him?

Will you apply online or via good old package of paper copies, shipped directly to uscis p.o. box? It seems like bunch of people have a problems when they try to make attachments of scan copies online. However, we usually hear nothing from people who applied online successfully.
For citizenship? Intend to do paper copies, that's what we've been doing so far for other applications...

We have been stuck at the "we received your case" for what feels like forever
Going to start working on the citizenship application soon...

Nope.
Source stating otherwise?
Nah, haven't seen anything otherwise I just assumed it would be and don't want to shoot myself in the foot for later. It feels risky to take anything like that

Doesn't taking the stimulus violate the public charge rule? It makes me afraid of either of us taking it.....

I don’t think it’s end of the world, but it’s depends on who’s made mistake: uscis got address change request and sent you email confirmation, or you, who only think address form was be completed, but actually something was be wrong (no matter on what side) and you never received confirmation of address change.
Call USCIS immediately, have your confirmation email ready: day, time, number, - if it exists. As my Biometrics appointment letter says, permanent residency terminated automatically, if person doesn’t show up for fingerprints in scheduled time...
We ended up doing a walk in the next day and they let him do biometrics, so I think we are okay?
They sent us a confirmation of the address change and then the biometrics was sent to the wrong address.
-
They sent the biometrics appt notice to our old address after we'd done an address change form. We got an email today that we missed the appointment which was yesterday. Does this mean our green card is considered "abandoned"?
-
Is anyone else's application still stuck on received? We've had no information since that.
-
is it normal that we received the 18 month extension letter but not a NOA1 letter?
-
Looks like they cashed our check today!
-
Has anyone crossed the bridge of trying to renew your drivers license with the extension letter? I guess most people here's GC's aren't expired yet so neither are their licenses but I'm a bit worried about them giving us a hard time with the expired GC and extension letter...

we just sent our packet today yaaaay!!!

Good strategy!!!! Much better than being too early......😉
Yeah we got RFEs before so hoping that reading the fine print and being really detail-oriented will play out in our favor.

Hello friends!! Apparently there are two aug 2019 threads. I'm replying here but maybe they'll get merged eventually.
I digress!!
My husband was able to apply at the end of July but we've been slow and meticulous with our packet so hoping to mail it within the week.
Nice to meet everyone!
