When we filed for my husband's visa, we chose for the social security to be delivered. He arrived on the 22nd so we are wondering if we have to go to the office or just wait for it to be delivered in the mail.

I am writing just in case if someone finds it useful. My husband had interview last week December 6 and was put for admin processing because he did not have a right police report. How such thing could happen without NVC not noticing it, I don't know. Anyway, he submitted the report through email on Monday December 12 and today December 13 the visa was issued.

So, don't worry if you are out for admin processing as it looks like once the requested info is submitted, they are quite proactive to proceed with the case. It is not like NVC where it takes at least 6 weeks to look at a submitted document.

If it's just a police certificate that's missing it shouldn't take long for them to deal with it. That's a very good sign that they kept his passport.

Thank you, JFH! What surprises me is that NVC did not say anything. We had to resubmit police certificate to NVC but now turned out that one of them was not a correct one and had to be requested from a different office. We just thought if NVC completed the case, that meant all the documents were correct ones.

I would say that's a good indicator that they have kept his passport based on the experience of many here. There are some also that would be called for a second interview if this is it then probably your chances is higher given the new evidences presented.

I hope to see it being issued but a second interview is highly positive outcome as well. all the best for your case. will pray for you..

My husband had an interview today and was put on admin processing due to a wrong police certificate. His passport was retained at the embassy and they asked to obtain a correct police report and email it to them. They told him that it should take about a week to review so we will see. Keeping fingers crossed...

Unfortunately we were put on administrative processing as our police certificate was of a wrong format and we are now required to resubmit it by email.

Strangely, it has gone through NVC just fine. We were told that there was probably a mistake by officers not letting us know that it was a wrong one. Now we have to wait again and see what happens

So my wife just got out of the interview , in less than two hours she called me, saying she was missing a document!!!! My heart sunk instantly she says " just kidding " we passed and will have our passports and visas back within three days . So I'm thinking when she gets to her P.O.E. i might just wait for her to call and say i thought she was flying in next week

Could you please tell me, if the birth certificate is Italian in Italian language, do we need to translate it into English? The interview is going to be in Italy. For NVC it was fine without translation

How long did it take you to get an interview date? We got CC last Thursday and so far nothing

It seems that your embassy average about 2 mths. Your CC was towards the end of the month so possible the end of December early January for your interview.

I am new to this forum. My husband will be going through interview in Naples.

We submitted our paperwork to NVC on August 12 and in 2 weeks got request for police certificate. Then got a second scan date of sept 8. Got case complete on October 27 after supervisor review. So far we do not have an interview date. We emailed embassy in Naples and got automatic response that it takes up to 4 months to get an interview which is extremely disappointing. I called NVC today and they said that there is no estimation as far as timeframe for interview date.

Has anyone here gone through Naples embassy and how long it took you to get an interview date?
