  1. I came back today after being gone for a time and see one of my old posts being quoted. Nice to know I still have some cred lol

Welcome back, hope you're doing well, and thanks a lot for sharing your helpful experience :)

What happens in Germany, Vietnam, and the Philippines has no bearing on what happens in Casablanca.

In fact, what happens in the Philippines has no relation to what happens anywhere else.

To avoid further irrelevant answers, this country-specific thread is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the Middle East/North Africa regional forum.

    Right. Thank you sir

K-1approval requires that you met your fiancee within the past two years, and have no problems (legal, criminal, etc) that could disqualify your application. I have had two previous Russian wives, my Russian fiancée has been married twice too, and she was 30 and I was 53 when I filed our K-1. Along with the forms I included only copies of two emails, one bad black and white Photocopied photo, airplane ticket stubs and a few Russian receipts, and a few sentences describing my previous two marriages, and requesting a third attempt. Our application was quickly approved.

Thank you for the additional info. Wish you the best :)

OP, some embassies are harder than others. Age differences (especially with an older lady, younger man...my situation as well, btw, it's definitely rarer in pretty much all countries as opposed to the older man, younger woman situation) could be seen as a red flag as others have stated. But even that, you might just end up with an extra scrutinizing CO...you never know.

Like TBone said, just because other people on here with age differences have been approved in the past doesn't guarantee that'll everything will be smooth sailing for you too....I would be cautious and just try to bring as much extra relationship evidence as possible. It's always better to be very well prepared, especially if anything in your application seems out of the norm. Best of luck!

Aha, yes I see. Thank you so much :)

  2. There is a 14 year difference between my fiancee Duong and I. She is 26 and I am 40. Our fiancee visa petition was approved by USCIS this month. I would advise you to go with the petition and make sure you have evidence of ongoing relationship such as phone call records, chat logs, ticket stubs of your travel to visit your fiancee. Wish you the best of luck.

Thank you so much for the advice. Good luck for both of you :)

OP you have a chance. It is hard to go through this embassy for anyone. Casablanca is a strict embassy because of so much fraud. However, CR1 might be better and it might not be. K1 may work for you. You don't know until you try. Many people have been approved by only meeting once for a short period of time and being much older than their future husband from Morocco. but I have met 5 or 6 couples through VJ that are much older than their fiance. That had no problems at al. I know many just by posts that are the same age and were denied. No matter which way you go evidence is what the CO wants to see. The CO like any other country wants to know your relationship is real. Just be prepared for a lot of questions no matter which route you go. No one can tell you if you will or will not be denied. Some people with the most solid cases are denied. Unfortunately, that is what happens with Middle Eastern and North African countries. They are high fraud and tough for a reason.

Yes that's true, Casablanca is a tough embassy and also what you said about fraud from my country.

We will work on making more evidences and meetings and hoping for the best.

Thank you so much for this good piece of advice :)

You will need to prove that your relationship is real. And because you're from Morocco it's much harder than if you were from Europe or the Philippines. Adil and Jeanne offered you good advice and have a lot of experience in a similar situation. They were approved but I don't believe it was easy/fast for them. I'd visit the Morocco portal and read some of the other posts. I'd also read the embassy reviews. As stated above, it's a tough embassy but no one can accurately predict how your specific case will go. Good luck

Exactly. I'm really very thankful to you all :)

Me and my husband's age difference is 8 years, we made it. It'll be fine as long as the relationship is proven genuine. Just do your best to show all proof and evidence.

Thank you and Congratulations, wish you a very happy life together :)

  3. So her youngest is 20, how old is her oldest child, older than you?

I realize this is subjective, but how is she in the looks department? Healthy, fit, looks way younger than her years?

I think she should come post on the forum so we can help her with some of the filing questions.

Yes she is 44 yo but she looks too way younger than her age and looks very nice.

Yes she will come to post or let her use my account for further more questions and help.

    Thanks a lot :)

  4. I don't know why you are coaching them on this. They should put whatever is the honest truth about their relationship, not what is most likely to have it accepted by the CO. The chance of legitimacy are already not high and it could border on instructing them on how to commit fraud.

No seriously, she's not coaching me or anything. We actually have no plans for making kids, we just need to be together :)

    Thanks all :)

  5. Age difference should not matter but once the older woman is past childbearing years is does bring about questions in the mind of the CO. Be sure that your fiancé addresses this issue in her letter of "HOW WE MET" statement. Explain that you do not want children etc and that both families have accepted the age difference. On its own it is not a reason for denial but if there are other red flags it becomes more crucial.

Aha, well actually we have no plans for making kids for many reasons.

Thank you for your advice :)

  6. It doesn't mean you will get denied for sure, but yes, it is a big red flag, especially as she is unlikely to be able to have kids with you.

Any other red flags, such as is she a different religion from you, decently divorced, did you try for a US via before?

The best thing you can do to counteract red flags is to spend a lot of time together, and meeting eachother's families.

That's really so helpful to me!

yes my religion is different than hers, and divorced long time ago, no i have never requested US visa before, but I went to France. IS that Okay ?

Thank you for the advice :)

If there are red flags or doubts in your case you would get denied either route....

Morrocos a tough embassy either way.

Get lots of evidence to take away from age difference....

Lots of evidences like what ?

    Thank you!

hmm thats alot for morocco , if it was philipines it may not be a big deal

    Ohh okay.

    Thank you!

Search Morocco Age Difference. A lot of stories here some good, some hard. Found this one:

"I'm 21 years older than my husband and we were approved in a day by the Moroccan consulate. Age difference alone is not a red flag. USCIS knows your ages when they approve your case to go to the consulate, so that can't be used against you "just because". But age can be considered if additional negative information is found by the CO's that makes age difference seem to be a factor. "

    Good luck

Awww thank you! that's really helpful :)

  7. Yes, I think you will face some problems.

You would increase your chances of a successful visa application by spending more time together in person.

If she is divorced with children, you will likely have a long visa journey. Also, if she has converted to Islam since meeting you, then you will have met most of the red flags for this Consulate.

    Aha! thank you

So I think we should not hurry up and see each other once again.

Yes she is divorced with 4 grown up children. No she is not converted to Islam.

  8. I would do the cr1 to be sure because that is quite a gap and if you don't want to stress about it go with the cr1

I'm really thinking about that, but she wants me asap with her in usa. But we should look on what's best not quickest

    Thank you so much :)

For Morocco when an older woman is with a younger man it is a red flag. Especially when the woman is close to being out of the preferred child bearing age.

i would suspect you may have some scrutiny.

Aha! thank you for that useful information!

can you tell me please what is all considered as red flag ?

    Thanks once more :)

  9. Hello everyone

I'm 25 years old man from morocco, and my fiancee is 19 years older than me, we knew each others for almost 1 year, and last month we met person to person and stayed with me for a couple weeks.

I heard that our age difference could make my k1 visa denied. How true is this ?

what do you advise me guys ? I don't want us to waste time and money on k1 visa and get it denied due to our age gap.

or maybe we should go through CR1 ?

    Thanks a lot!
