Hie rickyhuy07 we have an almost similar case to yours did you have any update on your i-485 yet?

I got approved at the end. I decided to make an infopass appointment to see what the hell was going on with my case because 2 months had passed and I didn't receive any update.

When I came to the USCIS office, they told me I was already approved by the officer's supervisor after they conducted my interview. Turned out USCIS forgot to transfer my case to the Card Production Facility after approving me. I got home knowing all the weights had lifted off my shoulders. It was the best feelings ever. My card came in the mail 5 days after my infopass appointment.

  2. so I went to the infopass appointment yesterday because I wanted to check on my i-485 case status. My wife and I have gone thru 2 interviews and we've got our i-130 approval notice after the second interview, however nothing has changed to the i-485 (further review) . Here is what the officer answered me:

" You guys havent got anything? My computer says the case has been approved "
I said No we have not, then he said "hold on a second lemme check real quick"

After 5 min he came back and told us
"there are 2 possibilities: first maybe it's still in process... second maybe they forgot, but if that's the case then I already sent them the notice so they can take a look at ur case to see why you guys havent received it yet"

Can I have your thoughts on my situation pls. Idk it seems weird to me

  3. Me ( F-1 student currently living and studying in California ) and my wife ( US Citizen ) were brought back to our second interview in Sacramento on January 20th, 2016 even though the officer verbally approved us on the first one. The Stoke interview which we were seperated went smoothy, we had like 90% matching answers because we are a legit couple. The second officier was lady ( different from the first interview we attended ). She was pretty nice, she made jokes here and there during the interview to calm us down. At the end she told me if anything is needed she will let me know in the mail, otherwise she might be able to finish the case today.

5 days later we received a letter saying our i-130 was approved on Jan 20 ( the day we had our interview ) which mean the officer did exactly what she told me. However my i-485 is still pending. It's been a month now and I'm just curious if there's anything wrong that take them too long to approve the green card. I believe my background is clear, I'm a full time student with no criminal records or traffic tickets whatsoever. Should I be concerned? Anyone in the same situation please help me. Thank you guys

  4. Me and my wife had our 2nd interview last Friday in Sacramento. It went pretty well, we got like 90% - ish matching answers. At the end the lady said " I need to verify all the docs again. If anything is needed we will let you know in the mail, otherwise I think I'll be able to finish your case within today". Today ( 5 days after the interview ) we received a letter saying our i-130 was approved but the i-485 has not changed at all. Anyone has been in this situation before pls help me out :(

  5. So it's been 5 days and we havent gotten any mail, my mobile app hasnt updated anything either. I'm just a little nervous. Can anyone share your timeline please. How long was the wait until you got the decision?

  6. I'm totally shocked

I had my first i-485 marriage interview on September 20. The interview went well and we were approved on the spot. IO stamped my application, made me sign and told us it would take 4 weeks for the card to be delivered.

After 4 weeks of nothing, I made an infopass appointment and the guy behind the counter informed us that our case was scheduled for a second interview. Me and my wife were so surprised, we told him that the officer already approved, how come do we have to go back to be interviewed again? He said maybe the IO forgot to ask us something at the first interview and told us to calm down.

3 days ago we received the letter from USCIS about the 2nd interview on January 20 and which "will be videotaped". It was addressed to both me and my wife. I really appreciate if anyone who has been in this "weird" situation can help us out.

  7. I am a bit surprised and shocked now. Me and my wife had our first marriage interview on September 20. We were told that our case was approved, the IO stamped "Approved" on my application and told me the card will be mailed in 2 weeks. After waiting for 5 weeks, I decided to make an InfoPass appointment and when I got there the guy told us our case is being scheduled for a second interview because the IO after we left felt like he has more questions to ask. Has this ever happened to anyone?
