audacieux89 got a reaction from Landurerason in If Petitioner overstays in Beneficiary's native country, could this effect the K1 visa?
Nope. I don't think it matters. What matters is if YOU overstay in US territory. Everything in K1 is mostly about you and your relationship. Proof of spending time together is actually a good thing. Just make sure to know what the consequences are for her if she does overstay in Brazil.

Hi there! I dunno if your question has been answered already...I, too, was weighing my options about going home to PI (I work in Singapore) but yes she can go home to the Philippines after she gets her fiance visa in HK, but remember:

    - she has to attend a CFO seminar in the Philippines if she is departing from the Philippines to the USA. The immigration check point will ask for a CFO sticker if she does not have a return ticket back to the Philippines.
    - If she decides to go back to Hongkong after going home to the Philippines and book a flight from Hongkong to the US, remember that she will be asked for an OEC (if she still holds a work visa in Hongkong). Or else, she will be asked to have return ticket to the Philippines again if she presents herself as a tourist.

*they will always ask for a return ticket if the Filipino is leaving the Philippines as a tourist

Best thing is, just book a CFO seminar during her trip to the Philippines, then she can fly from there to the US, without question.

Visa Issued 17th May. Picked up 18th May!
    Exactly 5 months after NOA1.

Best day of the journey and what a relief!
Now I can say that yest the journey is hard and the wait is frustrating at best, but just hang in there and slowly the train moves towards its station...
You'll get there.. Just make sure be extremely nice to your fiances through this journey cos the wait is hard for both of you. (Some people just dont show! but it is ) Make these moments count cos once you're together this waiting game wont be around anymore and no more anticipations and waiting for calls and texts

Another thing - keep all documentation in order, prepare and rehearse for the interview. Research the stuff, reach the venues on time, and just breathe and pray and it'll all be just fine.

Loads of best wishes to all the lovely couples out there!

My interview experience yesterday on May 22nd, 2017

My appointment was at 8am, but I had to go through some stuff like: the scanner, finger print. It took so long that when my number was called to go to the window number 4, it was a beautiful Vnese lady who was asking me to give her the copy and original paperworks, then the medical exam, and affidavite of support packet. She was asking me some simple questions, like: who is your petitioner, did you get amrried before, did he get married before, do you have any children, does he have any children, what does he do for living, are you a member of Communism, have you ever been outside of the country, did you stay over 1 year in those countries. And she told me that my paperwork was done, then wait for them to call my number again at the window number 14 to 20.
I was waiting until nearly 11:30 when everybody left accept 5 people in the room with me lol. My number was called at gate 15. There was a black American guy who was handsome and had a beautiful smile haha, and a beautiful vnese lady standing behind him. He asked me if I could speak English, and I said yes. He told me to raide my right hand and swear that I would tell the truth. I did.
    - When did you meet?
    - You mean "in person" or something?
    - Oh no, when did you know each other, like what year?
    - In 2015
    - So how did you know each other, on online or something?
    - We knew each other through an dating app named Okcupid.
    - And when did you meet in person?
I showed him our couple tattoo which had a date and location where we first met.
    - September 25th, 2016.
He was a bit suprised and laugh out loud, he was asking me again if it was a date that we firdt met. I confirmed. Then he said: "Haha alright, your visa was approved!"
I was shocked because it went so fast I didnt believe that I made it. He said: "Have fun in Salt Lake". I thanked him and the lady a lot, he also asked me the last one before I left: "Have you ever been to Utah?". I said: " No, I havent. But I have heard that Utah is a very beautiful state.". He noded his head and said: "Yes Utah is a very beautiful state". I said thank you and may him had a nice day.
I waled out to the Ems counter to fill my information on the form, they will send my pp with the Us visa on it. It was about 11:35 am when I stepped outside of the US consular. It was not a dream. I called mom and aunty and my friends, I called my fiance and he was super happy. We smiled a lot that it hurted our faces. Before I called him on skype, I texted him: "Bad news that you have to buy a big comfy mattress because Im going to come there soon!" Hahaha.
Thank you everybody here who is a part of my family. I never have "American dream", I only have a dream to be with the love of my life. Our journey is just begun...

    Well folks...

I had my interview in London today. Appointment time was 11am - checked all my paperwork in. Sat down and waited. Recognised the woman in front of me - she was at the clinic last week when I had my medical. She was there for a spousal visa.
I got called for my interview at around 12.30

by 12.36 I was on the phone to Aaron to let him know he needs to clear me some space in the wardrobe!

    Approved!

Only six and a half weeks after our NOA2 date.

So those of you still waiting for your NOA2, hang in there! Things can move REALLY quickly after your NOA2.

    Hi Bobby,

I think you're talking about my fiancée Kathy as the other person who got approved. She had her interview yesterday as well. She mentioned that she had a chat with someone who was also VJ member during the process and if I remembered correctly, I think she told me the name was Bobby, and yes she got approved too! Congratulations to you and your partner and best of luck to everyone who's still waiting.

It's the combined data from Geo and myself ... and yes doubles are removed.

That appeared on mine too. Wait for the status that says "Ready". That means it has already arrived at the beneficiary's US embassy.

It will depend on the embassy though how they process the K1. Some send out a packet giving instructions on how to proceed with other requirements and interview schedule. Some do not send a packet and everything is done online.

I suggest to research on how they process the k1 application once it reaches the beneficiary's us embassy.

You usually call their hotline to ask for your case number (1-2 weeks after your NOA2 was approved). If you have your case number, you can follow the status on the CEAC website.

My CEAC status changed at least twice after they received it on the 02/24/2017 (update on 27/02/2017 then finally on 03/03/2017). I am sure yours is on the way!

I only requested for CENOMAR (and not ROM) via e-census to be sent directly to the USEM (as they do not accept hand-carried CENOMAR).

Will update you and @Valex on my progress!

Update on our process post NOA2

our NOA2 date was 30th January
NVC case number issued (by phone) 16th February (16 days) - booked medical
Case status set to 'ready' 22nd January
Packet 3 recieved (letter from embassy) 3rd March - all paperwork already submitted (DS-160, readiness) - and other paperwork in hand for interview (i-134 etc)
    interview booked online 4th March

    Medical - 6th March
    Interview 17th March

    45 days NOA2 to interview

So even if you are still hanging on for your NOA2 - it could all go really quickly after that!  If you have all your other paperwork ready you could be lucky and get an early date.

Thanks for the info. We're currently waiting for our case as it is currently "in transit" still. Will take your advise and follow up on them.

And yes each country varies requirements too!

As for Singapore consulate (as far as I know its just me @isabelleyri  - both pinays residing in singapore)  But might be helpful for some foreigners in singapore too.

    • There is only one accredited hospital in Singapore to do the Medical and they won't arranged any appointment for you not until you have interview date.
Fullerton Healthcare Screening Centre at Ngee Ann City
Address: The Penthouse 391B #26- Ngee Ann City Tower B, 238874, 2 Orchard Rd Phone: 6836 3366   • Police clearance (COC) - They wont entertain you not unless you have the letter from US embassy stating that you need to get this legal doc.
    • ROM (singapore) - registration of marriage is also needed which is easy to acquire (just visit the website)

& To date, i havent done any of these yet. Hahaha Kinda panicking but keeping it positive.

I hope most of NOV filers have gotten their NOA2 already! Goodluck to those who haven't got it yet but soon! im happy for everyone!

    Get ready December filers.
