Ive been calling NVC for a while, and I received my Case Number and Invoice ID Number today! Looks like I need to wait a little bit (1 week?) before I can start the next processing steps, but looks like things are moving smoothly.

Looking through the September 2016 filers board, a lot of the people who were transferred from Neb to Tex have had their cases approved quite quickly.  
 
Heres a link to the Visa Journey timeline search comparing people receiving NOA2 from Nebraska and those who were transfered to Texas.  Looks like transfers are getting approved much quicker.  Nebraska seems to still be approving late August filers, while filers from late September who were transferred to Texas are getting approved at the same time.

10/7/2016 at Nebraska here and haven't heard a peep either.  
 
In other news just found out my wife is pregnant! Yayyy! We are overflowing with joy!
 
Unfortunately the due date (October 2017) looks like pretty much the absolute worst time as far as her visa processing/traveling is concerned... not sure what to do. 

Same happened to me! Don't worry! NOA1 should come soonish
