  1. Hello all,

    I’ve been trying to find the answer to this with no luck. My wife and I have her AOS all set except for the health care section in the I-944. She has health care through me and I have gotten a tax credit. The instructions from uscis ask for form 1095-B, 1095-C for proof of health coverage and IRS form 8963, form8962 and 1095A in regards to my tax credit. Has anybody been successful in filing the i-944 without these documents? I cannot find any leads at the moment. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!

  2. Hello all,

    my fiancée has passed her interview in Manila in March. Due to covid visa processing was placed she has not yet received her visa. Her flight is in august. Just wondering if she doesn’t get her visa in time and or flights are not yet in motion, what are the stipulations in place for extending her visa? I’ve heard she may need to resubmit documents or even redo the interview. I’ve emailed the embassy and their answers are not too detailed. I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this especially recently. All advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    I flew Prague - London - Austin, I did not have any lengthy examinations. The longest wait was to get my luggage lol. I waited 2 hours just to get to my luggage, then the line for immigration was around 30 minutes and then the talk with IO was for about 15 minutes. Anything can happen anywhere, I had the best experience with Atlanta but I know many that would disagree with me. I always like to have some cushion waiting time because I will rather lounge in the waiting room than stress I would not make it.

    Thanks for the heads up! I actually like the airport there! :) that’s good to know! If you don’t mind me asking was this recent? I’m trying to find any feedback from k1 beneficiaries who just arrived, if they are told to quarantine or things like that

    @JH1634PR126 looks to be operated that day, nonstop.

    Good eye! :) that’s the flight I was aiming for! However they don’t seem to be offering free rebooking if she doesn’t get her visa in time, Cathay was my next bet but their flight layover through Hong Kong, which is closed for transiting at the moment.. delta has a flight straight from s. Korea to jfk. I might have to go with that

    When was it approved? I thought Trump suspended any immigration until June

    He did for 60 days that is true, however I read k1 visa were exempt from the ban. She passed her k1 March 12, visa was to be sent within two to four weeks however they locked down Manila the next day as she flew out of the capital. So just waiting on her visa to arrive she has until aug 27. Hoping for the best

    Anastasia's POE was early last year (May 2018 filers), so we made all the way through AOS before the virus started affecting things, and it should be over with before we file our ROC paperwork next autumn. We haven't left the country since she got here; the theory was we'd visit Russia every summer (after almost 20 years in San Diego, I'm not making non-emergency visits to Russia in winter), but we were going to skip this year anyway because our son was born in April ...

    We’ll that’s good, hopefully things settle down soon and we’ll all be able to travel worry free, congrats to you both!

    No examination,  just normal entry process and a little more required paper pushing.  When we came through Chicago,  it was 2 minutes at the booth and 30 minutes in secondary waiting for them to finish the paperwork

    Perfect! I hope soon I’ll be able to go through the same process! :)

    Depends on how busy they are ( Atlanta) at the time she arrives.   Three hours is usually enough...  This is why I try to connect at an international airport (such as Seoul) so my first US airport is also my only one.

    Thank you! I was thinking the same thing, I would rather her just fly direct into jfk and face any necessary examinations there

    Under normal circumstances, you typically want to make sure you have at least 3 hours to make a connection at POE at a busier international airport like ATL or JFK.

    Right now, I have no idea; there's way less traffic, but there may be less staff, too.

    /also, I just picked up my wife (fiancée then) at LAX and drove us to San Diego from there

    Hello Dave, thank you for your reply! Just asking because I didn’t know if she would face more examination upon entering and I would rather have her come from mnl direct to jfk in one shot. Things here may be different in Connecticut, but any stipulations for you and fiancée upon her arrival in terms of required quarantine? Thank you!

    No problems however, her first US airport will be her port of entry regardless of what was noted on the ds160.

    Thank you! Let’s say for example she has a three hour layover to nyc, but her port of entry happens to be her layover stop (Atlanta for example), will she face a lengthy wait and possibly miss her connecting flight?

  10. Hello all,

    My fiancée has her k1 approved and waiting for visa to arrive by mail hopefully soon. Trying to research flights from Manila to jfk, some of which have layovers in Detroit, Seattle, etc. Her scheduled point of entry is jfk so I’m wondering if any layovers in the USA would present any problems. Thank you

  11. Hello all,

    my Fiancée will be taking her interview next month in Manila, and have a question about questions 8a and 8b on the form. I’ve seen many posts about not bothering to fill out any assets if my annual income is above the poverty limit. My income is well above the required amount, however I feel nervous leaving anything blank in such an important step in my fiancées chances of passing the interview. I have a mortgage with a good value however I have a remaining balance of 63,000 on the home.. I just don’t know if this type of information will hurt or help my situation. Thank you for any feedback in advance.

    Embassy in Manila listes the I-134 (can be a signed copy), most recent tax return and W-2 .  That's it.        No bank statements, no assets necessary.   If not a new employee .. no employer letter either.    The embassy uses the 125% guideline.

    As was noted many times the CO does not ask for the support evidence, which really means little IF you are the one they do ask.   Be prepared

    You have a little time before moving to the next stage, but I will list them here for future reference.

    After you receive your NOA2 (approval notice) you will want to email NVC to request your embassy case file number, info here;

    https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html

    Once you have your case file number from NVC and your status on CEAC shows READY you can then start the process at the embassy;

     https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

    The Philippines forum is a good place to get answers related to the visa application process in Manila;

    Thank you so much! This is a big help!! 👍👍👍

  13. Hello from U.S.A.!

    I have recently sent my I-129f and it is now in process after receiving my NOA1.

    It will just be my fiancee (from Philippines) and I, and I make well above the guidelines for 2 individuals set in place from the U.S. Government, as well a large amount that can entered in stocks and bonds category.

    Aside from the annual earnings, how much does the the embassy favor to see in terms of checking and savings?

  14. Scanned documents from the beneficiary are fine for the I-129F petition.

    We had no issues at all.

    She had thankfully made me a real copy with signature, her intent statement everything that is basically needed. I emailed her two versions, one with the address for the UCSIS in Dallas for me, and one for her that had the U.S. Dept of State address in Manila. She sent me hers by mistake, but It still has her signature and statement, I'm hoping it wont be an issue when it gets examined

  15. Hello,

    My finacee sent me via Fedex her G-325, passport photo, and letter of intent. On the letter of intent she has her statement to marry within 90 days, her address, and her signature and print. She even notorized it in her city. However the send to address where it should be Dallas TX is instead directed to the US Embassy In Manila. She gave me hers by mistake :D With all the necessary requirements already on the page, is this ok to pass through? I don't want her to go through the trouble of sending another of she's doesn't have to. Thanks!

  16. Interesting, so the g325a, the passport, and the intent to marry just photocopied and emailed? That was what I thought of doing in the very beginning

    This is a common question.

    My partner simply signed all his documents needed for the original I-129F submition, scanned, and emailed them to me.

    We had NOA2 is 48 days without any issues.

    All USC signatures were "wet" signatures though.

    It is completely up to you and the advice here. If it makes you feel more comfortable definately send her the documents, have her print and sign them, then fedex them back to you.

  17. I'm glad everything worked out for you! I will definitely go with the first option, thank you!

    Yea - I messed up on that one too...

    You only have two options (Well two of the most logical options)

    1. Fill out the form for her - save as PDF. Email it to her. She prints it and signs it and FEDEX or mails it back to you.
    2. Make a trip out there and have her sign it.

    I did number 2 because I needed to get more pics of her and pics of all of us (her family) + engagement ring / proposal photos.

    It worked out ok for me in that respect.

    Oh - and make sure you have her signed letter of intent and everything else or this process will drive you nuts.

  18. Hello,

    I am preparing my document for filling my K-1 Application for my fiancee in the Philippines. Looking at the directions for filling out the G-325A, It requires the same document plus a passport photo from each of us. Being so far away, how is she to sign the actual document?I know a photocopy would be easy, but is not allowed. What do I do, Thanks!
