Hey afric, just checking in to see how things are going.. has there been progress on your case?
We were able to pay the fee and are now checking the website every day for scheduling dates.. was there anything special that you did to finally get a date scheduled, or did you just keep checking?Blessings! Simon and Amina
Great!!! finally, you paid the fee. Please Keep on checking for the open slots as many times as you could at some point it will open.
We already have Visa's in our hands now, we thank God for that. Hope you will be through this process soon too. Be blessed

Hi afric, so good news in that we have been able to sort out the filing problems. But, there is no pay options available, but the scheduling option is open (although it says no appointments available). It seems to be in reverse order than what you said, and the agent at the Virginia office said to schedule first, then pay. I wonder if they have changed the way its done, or if its different because my fiancee is from Uganda. Nevertheless, how are things going with your case progress?
Hey, Simon. Us we just started medical, then next week is the interview. Please email the Us embassy Nairobi and tell them about the issue, their email address is essa_contactus+ke+ivcasenumber+en@visaops.net payment needs to be done first so long as it is K1 Visa before scheduling. Hope you will break through soon. Be blessed

The Email you can use or at least the one we used is nbomed@iom.int and they'll send you a least of things that they want from you which already have but precisly it's:-
-copy of valid passport (scan the bio data page)
-Letter from the us consular that has your case no. and visa appointment date.
-passport size photo
- your phone number.
-Lastly you'll have to fill in a form which is pretty simple too.
And then she d everything back to the same address and you'll be good.
Be blessed.
Thank you for the information.Be blessed

Call IOM Medical on these numbers +254 722 879680, +254 734 860707 or go there if you are in Nairobi. That's what my wife did.
Thank you for the information.

It took 3 business days for us, but we did it also by email. They will request several documents that you'll need to send them and then they'll ask you what date you want to schedule your medical for(or at least that's how it worked for us). We just got our medical date today; it's set for March 27th.
Is the email in that link the one you used, because we used a different email address. I think there are two centers serving the same purpose. Let me know the exact email address you used and documents they requested you to submit. Thanks

IOM is the only medical center that the embassy will accept (I think that started in 2010). http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Kenya&cty=Nairobi, Kenya This link is fairly helpful as far as contact info for the medical center.
Did you inquire first then reply what was needed? or how did you go about

Hello Members,
I have been trying to schedule a medical appointment in a Nairobi, I sent an email to them 4 days ago but they haven't replied yet. How did you guys go about? Your help is appreciated

Hey Simon,
Sorry for all this. When you are in the immigrant site( the site should be green in color, don't use the blue one because it is for nonimmigrant ). When you create an account, you put your information, after that you click green button continue, when you continue you will enter the courier/DHL location where you will pick up your visa after it is approved (Location should be within Kenya there is a drop down button with places you can choose from). Click continue green button then go to the payment section (MRV fee), here you will see two options 1) Pay by cash (2) Pay by Safaricom M-pesa. Here if you choose to pay by cash, then click on "pay by cash" the pdf form will appear then prompt you to print. That is the form will direct you to go pay at Post bank and the amount with the pin number. Also, remember this form expires in like 4 days, that means you have to make payment at the bank within the timeline. They will update your account within 2 days, then you will see the calendar to schedule the appointment. Hope this will help. ( https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-KE/iv/users/sign_in ) this is the website. Be blessed

Hey Simon, that's ok. hope it will help. But, remember visa fee payment has to be made in Kenya (Postbank). Be blessed
-
Hey Simon,
Yes, you have to pay the visa fee at the Post bank or through Mpesa before scheduling. First, you have to create the account immigrant side, then follow the flow of the account up to payment then prompt you to pay the visa fee. Here it gives you option either cash which you pay it in Postbank or Mpesa. If through cash it will prompt you to print out a paper which you will carry with you to make payment at Postbank (Kenya). Afterwards, will take 1 to 2 days to get updated in your account. Then from there you will see the calendar to schedule appointment.Hope you will get one soon.Be blessed

Hey Lelah22
I think that is the email you received from the Consular Section, saying they were ready to proceed with your case. As Us Nairobi, embassy no longer sends the letters (packet3) but through emails.

Congratulations to you!!! now the wait time is over. But April is not far, it is better than nothing. Be blessed
-
Thanks. By the way, both of you can keep on checking due time difference.I could advise you check at around 8 am, Kenyan time. I personally took the scheduling part, the reason is that in Kenya you have to go to a cyber cafe to secure the internet( It is inconvenient and costly, thus it was necessary for me to do it from this side). Just a thought. Be blessed

Hey Lelah22
Finally, we secure an appointment slot this morning Feb. 7, this wait time was the hardest, I had been checking online and phone calls as many times as I could for the last 7 weeks. I also email embassy several times, and they used to say "Keep on checking online frequently". Hope you will secure one soon.Let's update each other for any changes.Be blessed
-
Hello Simon,
Finally, we secure an appointment slot this morning for Feb.7, did you get one yet?, if not keep on checking online, now I have realized it usually pop up ones in a while. Hope you will get one soon, if you haven't gotten yet. Be blessed
-
Hello, Simon.
No, we haven't gotten any date yet we are still waiting. Let's update each other if we get something new. Be blessed
-
Hey Lelah22
It seems we are in the same timeline, even us we have been waiting for over 6 weeks to get the schedule for the K1 VISA but we haven't gotten any as of now, have you email Nairobi consular to inquire about it? if so what did they tell you. Hope this wait will come to an end soon. Please let's keep on updating each other on the progress. Be blessed

Hi,
K1 VISAS
Please, I have been trying to schedule an appointment in Us embassy Nairobi but I haven't gotten any date yet. I am wondering how long did it take to get the appointment. Thanks
-
Hi,
Simon.
Thanks. Your help is highly appreciated as we go through this journey. God bless you

Hi,
Simon.
Thanks for your information. I have been calling them (Virginia call center) for scheduling but they usually say no opening yet, but I realized we are using the same system.(what they see is what I see in our account). I think yours need technical people and this is their email address: (essa_contactus+ke+ivcasenumber+en@visaops.net). I know you had said your fiancee did scheduling, but could you please ask her if she went to immigrant visa section, then create an account. Under the (1) application information (2) courier (3) payment (All this three is checked green to mean complete), then 4) Schedule 5) instructions. Because when we were filling up after we arrived at payment section the system prompted us to print an MRV for visa fee payment at the bank and show us the nearest appointment date which was March 21, 2017. Then we went to pay the stated amount, In the paper, it say to allow 2 to 3 days to be activated in the system.
- When we went back to try to schedule we couldn't see any opening and that is the situation we are up to now. I hope we get one soon, it is so frustrating. Please let's keep on sharing information. Thanks

Hello,
Simon.
For K1 visa's need to fill the DS160. I am on this stage too. I fill up ds160, made payments at the post bank. But the problem is when I tried to schedule an appointment I couldn't get any date in the calendar, I have been calling them and trying online for the last one month, but I haven't gotten any. I email the Nairobi consular and they told me not to worry about the expiry, because mine is Jan. 27 2017.
My question to you is how did you guys schedule the first time. If you don't mind you can screenshot the website you schedule at. It is frustrating because there is no much information about US embassy Nairobi. Hope your case will be resolved soon. Thanks
