    Congrats!!!  I Wish him safe travels and to be with you soon.

    What kind of questions did they ask him?

    Thank you! They just asked him for the medical exam and the police certificate and return a lot of documents (I do not what exactly because I was not there with him)... then they asked things like when we met, how I came to the US originally, how long we have been married, about our daughter, about his doctoral thesis, etc... at the end the officer say he was sorry about making all these questions but he has to follow that protocol... my husband told him to not be sorry, that actually he thanks him for still being in Venezuela since he has the option to leave the country after what happened last week... Now he has to wait for his passport and package (1-3 weeks) to be able to fly home :)

    Thank you! I guess the only good thing about Venezuela these days is that no many are applying for a visa so we just got August 1st! :)

    Now we only have to pray for no protests on that day to make it to the embassy :(

    Hi, just received the "Now in the queue awaiting an interview" letter. Nice to see some progress.  Have all of you received this letter already? Especially for those who have been waiting for an interview date for over 2 weeks? My status still say "AT NVC" and my AOS info is not there which I understand is normal. ;)

    The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case.  The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.

    NVC schedules appointments one month in advance.  The U.S. Embassy tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments as they become documentarily qualified.  Most appointments are set within three months of NVC’s receipt of all requested documentation.  However, before applicants in a numerically limited (preference) visa category can receive an appointment, their priority date must also be current.  This can delay receipt of an appointment.  You can track your priority date using the Visa Bulletin on travel.state.gov.

    When an appointment is available, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable).  The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassy’s interview requirements online at nvc.state.gov/interview. Thank you for your patience.

    The embassy may require additional documents at the interview.  For example, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

    He or she is more than 16 years old;
    The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
    He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.
    The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

    Sincerely,

    National Visa Center

    Wow!! just saw your update. It def worked out in your favor by sending out that second police report before getting a checklist from the NVC. Happy you didn't have to wait 9-11 weeks from your second scandate.. Sounds like you didn't officially get a second scan date because you never received a checklist... So when they were reviewing your file, they saw another incoming document, pulled it, put it with the rest of your file, reviewed it, approved it . :) Just my opinion as your original scan date was 4/10/2017.. And there are scan dates from 4/11/2017 still waiting for a CC ..

    Congrats on your CC!! And thank you for updating the spreadsheet. Keep us posted regarding your interview date. ;)

    Probably that is the case. When I called last Monday, they said I have to wait 11 weeks from my second scan date and I did complain a little bite about never actually receiving a check list, but they said that their policy is to review within 11 weeks from the last scan date...
    However, I was getting excited last week when I saw some CC from the end of April so I was ready to call them again in 2-3 weeks... And when I checked my status this morning, I call right away to confirm!!!! :)
