Sorry but after the checklist, clock will restart unfortunately, i don't know about the expedite
may i ask you what the checklist was about?
Everything points to another 11 week wait. Buaaahhhh! . Checklist was for police record. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.

Ok, thanks for your answer. I'll keep you all posted on how long it takes. Checklist was for a police record. Goood luck to everyone!

Congratulations on the pregnancy!
On on my experience, we had our baby on may 2015. The whole birth abroad certificate + getting her passport probably took 3 months or so. So add that time to the already long I-130 wait (12 months +/-).
It it will be hard (my baby and I are waiting for the CR visa while her daddy is in the US) but we hope it will be worth it!

Is it 11 weeks or up to 11 weeks?
I don't know who came up with the 11 weeks mark but it's real! Our 11 week anyversary is in 2 days and today we got an answer from NVC! Sadly it's a checklist ...
Does anyone here know if the new document submitted will reset the 11 week clock? Or will they process it as they receive it ?
Thanks for any help!

This was our case. I left the US about a month after we filled out I-130. They start processing right away. I did included a copy of my passport stamp and the returning flight confirmation page. I suggest you file ASAP as the whole process takes at least a year. Good luck!

Hi @chamma
Are you absolutely 100% positive a new document will reset the 11 week wait? (I got a checklist 😞)
Is there a thread on this subject?
Kind regards!

Hi everyone!
Our 11 week mark was May 15th and TODAY (at 1:50 am) we received an email from NVC. The 11 weeks are real!! Sadly it's a checklist. I knew this would happen, as 2-3 after we posted our package it came to my mind that I should have included the -now requested- document... Oh well!
My my question for those of you who got the same is: after NVC receives the document, will we have to wait another 11 weeks?? Or do they review it as they get it? Does anyone know?
And also, should we send a request to expedite (aka applicant readiness) along with the document?
I wished there were happy news... 😌 At least there's been some movement!!!

Congratulations @corry90!!! 🎉 Your news bring me a lot of hope.
Fellow NVC fillers: for
those of you who got expedited when your case reaches the consulate: how did you do it??? We sent a letter to NVC and got rejected, but I see many here in the forum got accepted. What's the wining procedure?

We are on week 8.... counting the seconds now...

NVC are horrible but no matter how horrible it feels right now, you will get passed NVC. Trust me, I know because our case was stuck there for like seven or eight months.
Yes, if you get a checklist, once you respond to it, the review clock starts over.
The reps can't answer your questions because they don't know. They don't review cases, they just answer the phones and can only tell you what the reviewers have written on your case.
Hang in there, you will get pass NVC
Hi Mallafri76! Wow! That's pretty long! Why did they take so long?

Hi everyone!
I'm confused with this question on DS260 and: • Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you? and Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you?
My husband (USC) is living/residing in the USA. So I first thought I should answer "NO" and "NO". But then I found this on te internet and got SO confused. Could my case be "YES" and "NO"?
Thanks for any advise!
• Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you?
Don’t confuse the word “immigrating” with “traveling”. This question asks whether the spouse is “immigrating” (seeking permanent residence to the U.S. based upon your application). It does not mean the spouse has to “travel” on the plane at the same time. After the visa issuance, you and the family have up to 6 months to travel to the U.S. (“enter”). A spouse and children may travel to the U.S. (“enter”) after the primary applicant, as long as it is within the six month period. But as long as the spouse is seeking permanent residence with the primary applicant, this question should be answered “yes”.
• Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you?
As in the previous question, the key is “immigrating” not “traveling”. Thus, answer “no” if the spouse or child is seeking permanent residence with you, regardless of whether they may travel to the U.S. after you.

My wife's divorce papers that we sent with the application were just the affidavit that she signed and and not the actual decree. She never received the decree. She assumed that was it that she needed. USCIS asked for decree, and then she realized that she never received the decree and we had to order a copy from the court.
Hi Tanish!
In our case, my husband didn´t have the original decree as well. He did manage to find a copy (and not a very good one either). So for it to be legally useful we asked a friend that lives in Chicago (that's where he got divorced) to go to court and a judge basically said that this document matches the original that they have in their records. They put a bunch of stamps on it and so far it's been good to do all the legal work to get married in my home country (it has an apostille) and now with the I-130 application.
Good luck!

They sent my case to NVC today (approval date: January 12th).

Finally APPROVED ! It only took them 199 days! Hang in there everyone, It's closer than you think.
Now I'm totally lost for the NVC Stage. For those of you that have gone through the initial steps: where do I begin? When can I start calling? Are you staying in this forum or is there another one recommended? Do I continue to check my case status in the same website as I've done so far, or is there a new website to migrate to?
What a great way to start the year!

Interviewed and approved on Dec. 14th. Case status updated and received a text tonight that green card was mailed today.
Congratulations!!!!
At lesst some of us are moving forward. Were you expedited?
-
166 days on mine (PD June 27th) and nothing.....
Is there ANYBODY else left without answer yet? Are Dre876 and I the only ones?
-
App is available for both platforms.
RFE stands for Request for Evidence, when USCIS requires additional evidence to adjudicate your case.
Thanks Tanish

What date are you looking at? Service center?
At Texas Service Center for filing date May 31st there have been 250 approved, 59 RFE, and there are about 200 files left to be processed. Texas seems to be working on May files right now. I've only paid attention to my filing date though.
Hi! I'm new to this although I'm also a june2016 filer. What app are you using? Android or Iphone? And also, wthat does RFE stand for? I'm clueless!
