Let us know what they ask from you. I am a divorce and extreme cruelty waiver filer, I got a RFE from USCIS  on August 3rd. but it was in regards to my affidavit on the emotional abuse. I think I submitted sufficient evidence to prove bona fide marriage. That's all you need when you are filing with divorce waiver.  
 
USCIS provided receipt of my response on Sep. 04, I am looking forward to receiving their answer within 60 days...that's November 3rd. :)

My ex husband was abusing me emotionally and mentally...driving me crazy, turning very violent.I ran to a shelter before he could hit me. The shelter was an OASIS for me, despite the fact that I had to sleep with two other strange women in the same room. 

My date is May 8th 2017- VSC. Got an update on Friday August 03, 2018 that a RFE was in the mail. I have not received the letter in the mailbox yet.

All of us need an extension to continue working and to be able to renew our driver license. Travelling is not the main reason to get your GC extended. However I had heard some people got a 6 months extension because they did not mention any plan to travel during their appointment. 
I said I was planning to travel (although I might not travel until I get my 10 year GC). I got my stamp for one year. 

I was in the same boat as you friend is.

- police report ( case was not pursued since I didn't cooperated with the DA and wanted to save my USC spouse)
- 2 sentence report from my counselor saying I discussed marital problem and abuse to my counselor
- a personal statement
I got RFE and I did a major revision of my personal statement ( which I believe is one of the most important piece here)
Other things I submitted was ..
- a psychological evaluation from a new counselor who stated that I am suffering from PTSD
- two letters from school officials stating my condition during the abuse period
- three letters from friend with whom I have shared abuse
I got approved two days after they received the RFE response from me.
I am not divorced yet or not even legally separated. technically I am n ot with my USC spouse for more than two years.
and during this time I worked really hard to stabilize my mental and emotional and physical well being . .. this is the most important thing.
