I did not have my divorce decree notorized and no rfe(phew) but now wondering if I should and give it to her for future purposes?

Do you get a different # from the NVC that is used on the DS-160 form, or do you complete it using your USCIS #? Thinking we might squeeze through NVC before December leave, but realistically thinking early January. Then everything will find its way to the embassy. I am travelling back to Malawi for 1 week in January just to break up the long 6 months process and separation. Maybe a beach wedding here in June?

I frontloaded the I-129 with evidence of meeting and on going relationship, also my fiancée has been putting together more relationship evidence like our ongoing talks via Skype, etc. I already sent the wet signature DS-134 and original I-129 packet info to her with prior 2 years of tax returns and W-2's (about 3 weeks ago), will send most current pay stubs once she is ready to go to the interview. Researched everything needed for DS-160, you know payment for the visa/interview and all the info she needs for her Medical exam in Manila (4 2x2 photos, current and past medical records, vaccinations), researched hotel nearby for her and her aunt to stay at...just thinking about every detail so it goes as smooth as possible for her. She already has her CENOMAR, I had her get her latest police report thing done so it is current. We already have plans for our wedding and an engagement ceremony for her family when I come to pick her up, my mom will come along to meet her family also....so lots to plan!

Congrats! I called the NVC today and got nothing. I'm hoping they'll have our petition by the end of the week. Our NOA2 date is 11/3 and yours is the day before. Fingers crossed!

Is it business/working days or total days? Seems like 21 is the average, but thinking its really longer now.

Ok.So you can't apply for the DS160 until they have your stuff? Seems like its 2 weeks or more then. It was funny last week I was walking distance to the NVC and wished i could help out some of you guys.

I feel like i should know but when its sent to nvc, why do we need call them? What are the next steps? I read k1 timeline, but can't connect the dots. So in 3 weeks we get a new case #? The do we pay fees and the packet gets sent to foreign office and our fiancee will hear from them? Glad to be moving forward but its like survivors guilt knowing not all are pushing on yet. ?

Sure is a test. 40 days and no rfe? Its hard to distract yourself especially with a long holiday weekend coming up. Still many months to go it seems. Hope tomorrow brings something.

We are basically right there with you. My RFE receipt came Monday the 14th, hopefully they process it before Thanksgiving recess. I returned it the same day I got the hard copy.

One week out from receipt of RFE response...been a long day. I am hopeful by wednesday something good comes through. Still worried about the 'wet signature' on the divorce decree.

In our case was a more legible/stamped/signed divorce decree as well.

USCIS got the file yesterday, our case was updated on their page. SO Now we are waiting for their resolution ?☝???

Explain legible? I printed what was scanned and sent to me from the attorney via court, but never had a physical copy.Its signed but not "wet ink".

Its an rfe, not a denial. I am nervous about the divorce decree now and worried about a 2nd rfe. That would doubly suck. Its a good season to be in the process so stay positive

same thing happen to me same dates of RFE I fixed it the same day next day I overnite the package they received it the monday and approved me one week later

He just sent his whole divorce decree (first time was not stamped ... I still cannot believe it ?) fully signed, stamped and certified by Court District.

I suspect I am going to get another RFE for this reason... so I guess I should just do it now in advance. Hopeful I get lucky though.

They received our RFE response on the 9th and we got approved on the 15th. It usually takes 7-14 days to get NOA2, but it could be more.

Yep. I checked she has not been to USA and thought that negated all the rest below it... oh well. I assume everything else was in order because its all they sent me.

Can the request more evidence after you respond/reply? In my case it was an error/oversight on my behalf for NOT writing in NA on a few spots.

Nothing material I neglected to put NA in a whole category of responses. Completed and resent. My question is does this mean everything else is/was adequate, or can one get additional RFE?

Says mailed on the 3rd (thursday) and i basically next to california...Friday-Saturday-Monday...nada. Beyond annoyed today.

I have the long wait today for mail to arrive, but it gives peace that its something so trivial..seemingly. I have printed out my bank statement in advance and digging out any physical receipts additionally in anticipation.

We got an RFE as well. I guess next week we see what the issue is? Will they tell you explicitly? I hope so.

And we have an RFE--- wah wah wah waaaaaah... LOL
