Just wanted to let you guys know, dont focus on the processing time. It means nothing. I filed petition for my on March 8. It showed Nebraska at first but NOA1 came from Texas. But it actually went to California. My case was in "Actively Reviewing" since April 5. Today I got approval email and the notice in USCIS portal. I also filed i129f (K3) on April 29 when I saw K3 had only 6-8 months wait time. Additionally I reached out to my senator. Dont know if either one worked or none of them triggered the approval. Either way, now the secong waiting game begins.

At this moment I am losing my mind. Every other week the processing time for California is going up by a month while other centers processing time is going down ! First I was informed my case is Nebraska (just like some other folks here). Then the NOA1 came from Texas. And guess what... when I asked them where is my case at... They said its in California! 👌

My case status just changed. Now its : Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled. I have no idea when my oath will be. Kind of worried about the date,because my semester finals will be during May 9-May 20th 😞

My officer also spoke extremely fast that it sounded as if she was swollowing the words but she was really nice. Did the officer ask you to sign an electronic screen? Maybe they didn't have it the same in different offices. I was asked to sign the info on the electronic tablet and was told to check it as this is the info that would appear on my naturalization certificate. 

I only signed the paper copy of name change and the application.

Don't worry. If you face any problem like me, don't be afraid to ask. There are 100s of IO,not everyone is same.

No, I didn't ask for name change on initial application. Does it take longer than regular time if someone changes the name on the day of interview? 

I had my interview yesterday. But it wasn't anywhere near I expected. The IO was really rude. I changed my name during the interview, maybe that thing pissed him off, IDK. Anyway, It's done. Waiting for any status update/oath date. I am expecting a delay in my oath because of the name change. But how long would that be? Any idea? Also, he made me very nervous on the interview. When he was going over the questions in original N400 form, he was asking the questing too fast. Overall, it was a bad experience for me. I have one more question, if I see any error in my name change on the day of the oath, what should I do? Although when I signed my new name, I double checked everything but not 100% sure about the spelling (was too nervous). TIA.

Got my interview letter last week. Didn't get enough time to come to the forum. They scheduled my interview on April 3rd. Can someone update my timeline? Its hard to do it from cell phone. ?

I mailed the new N400 form on Aug 22 (Got a NBC* no). According to the registered mail tracking, UCIS got my application on 25th. On Sept 1, I got email and text that they waived my fee and mailed approval letter. Should I considered myself August filler? Or Sept? Thanks in advance.

★ On the I-797, received date and priority date is Aug 25. But notice date is Sept 2.
