Waiting on this paper work to process is like watching water boil...... Man this is a long process

If you think this is a long process, just wait until you arrive in the US, get married and apply for AOS. By the time you get your Visa, you are looking at another 12 to 20 months to get your AOS approved. Things are taking much longer. We applied for k1 on march of 2016 and only today I received my green card. Almost 28 months of processing all together.

Hello,
when did you know when it was time for you to send the passports back to the embassy for the visa issuance? I had the medical the day before the interview so they had to return our passports back till they get the medial results. I have emailed the embassy to inquire if I should be getting a letter for passport submission but it's taking them awhile to respond and calling them was no help either. I saw that our case was updated due to the medical and they received it so I just sent our passports back last week. Now I'm not sure if I was supposed to wait for some sort of notification first. What did you do with your case?

Well, after the medical report was completed and was received by the embassy. My fiance sent her Passport through Aramex using the letter was given to her by the CO during her interview for submitting the passport. I think if you sent your passport after the medical was sent to the embassy, you should be fine. Now, if your medical report was good then you don't need to worry. Keep your eye on CEAC and the changes. If you are doing K1 Visa, the first thing you should notice if it says NONE IMMIGRANT VISA or IMMIGRANT VISA. The minute you see NONE IMMIGRANT VISA, you got the visa and its a matter of time to change between AP, Ready to ISSUED.
