Not at all, I kept the package pretty small:

    - Joint checking account statements (3 months)

    - Tax returns (just sent W2's not the transcript), we filed separately every year except one so I just sent that year

    - Health insurance/401k with my wife as a beneficiary

    - Travel docs (ticket stubs, confirmations, etc) from the last few years

    - A couple of letters that were addressed to both of us

    - 3 or 4 photographs

Definitely not the 2lbs of flesh they asked for in my visa application! Less is more IMO.

    You don't have kids ?

  4. Hey guys,

My ROC was received by Vermont on the 25th of January 2016 and got the biometrics a few days later.

To my surprise, I just received a notice of approval dated at the 19th (less than 11 months to be processed!!). Visajourney was a great and reliable resource in this long and painful process and I thank you guys for the support. I hope that all of you January filers get approved as fast as possible!

Omg is a good notice congrats

  5. My husband (Non USC) has been traveling for 6 months abroad (just this past month he went to 5 different countries) with his expired GC and NOA letter with no issues. He says the biggest problem is when landing the in the USA the officers try to send you to the kiosk but the kiosks don't work with expired GCs. Once you make it to an actual person it goes fine.

which country is your husband has traveled?

  6. Just came back from a vacation overseas. For anyone wondering about traveling while waiting for AOS, we had absolutely no problems at all. At checkin, they looked at the green card, looked something up in the computer, and that's it - never mentioned that it was expired or that the name didn't match the name in the passport (my wife never changed her name in the foreign passport, but the green card is in the married name).

At JFK we had to go to the visitors lane, not the US citizens one, but that was better as there were a lot less people there. The officer asked for the green card and the foreign passport, looked something up in the computer, never mentioned the expired green card or non-matching names. Wife had to put in fingerprints and get a photo taken just like anyone coming in on a visa. Otherwise no hassle at all. We did not have to show NOA letter to anybody at all (we did have it with us).

    what country you were ?

I Traveled to Colombia....... It's not a big deal the entrance into US they did ask me for the NOA in Colombia in three different occasions before boarding the plane, before I traveled I went to CBP at the Miami airport and ask then and they told me to have my GC and the NOA and give that to the immigration officer I did that, no questions were ask by the IO He stamp my passport i went to collect my luggage and that was it

    Oh oki thansk god :)
