    Congratulation Nicole !

We are still waiting to hear back from the Nebraska center (NOA1 July 28th) and are starting to worry now...

Thank you!! Don't worry, seems like most people are at the end of July. That's why I was definitely not expecting to hear anything for another 2-3 weeks. I bet you'll hear something any day now. Good luck!! Make sure you have text message notifications set up because they never emailed me.

  2. We did get an NOA1 back in August, but still no NOA2 or word from them at all.

    hello Nicole,

you are very welcome. its my pleasure.

yeah i hope with this transfer to Texas will make my visa issued faster. i hope the same for you too.

did u say that u havent got NOA1 yet?

good luck for you too Nicole..

    okay i will :)

  3. hello everybody. me and my husband filed I-130 with supported documents and proofs to Nebraska service center on June 1, 2016 for CR1 Visa.

On June 6 USCIS has received our file.

Then on October 20, 2016 when we track on USCIS web it says that " case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction "

and today October 24 my husband has received the hard copy of the notice and it says..

" This is to notify you that we have transferred the above application or petition to the USCIS office at :

    Texas Service Center "

i wonder if there are any Nebraska Service Center filers who experience the same thing ?

Can people join me in this forum from NSC filers who has not got NOA2 so that we can update each other about our progress if we get any approval as well as to know how many people has got an outstanding case with the service center?

Thanks all for taking the time to read this. I hope we will hear some positive news in the coming weeks.

    Hi Corry,

Thank you for posting this! Our petition is also at NSC, we filed August 15th. I feel like you are lucky that yours was transferred to Texas! I wish that was the case for us. Seems like the Texas Service Center is up to date on their I-130s and Nebraska is backed up. I hope they send ours over to Texas, especially since we live in Austin, Texas. Makes more sense to me... Anyway it's really nice to have an idea of what NOA1 date they are processing in Nebraska right now. Good luck to you. If you hear anything else, please let me know and I will do the same for you!

  4. Yes I sent them to Dallas. That's what I meant. And yes, we are married. Our immigration lawyer advised us to submit both the I-130 and the I129F. If the I-130 gets approved first, they will just drop the 129F, and vice versa. He said that right now the I-129F seems to be being approved faster than the I-130 since they are backlogged, so there may be a chance that the 129F would be approved first. It doesn't hurt anything to file both and see which one gets approved.

  5. Hi,

I'm a little frustrated here. I live in Austin and sent my applications into the Texas Service Center which is located only a few hours away. I filed for both I-130 and I-129F in case one is faster than the other. Anyway, when I got both of my NOA1's, they were addressed from the Nebraska Service Center, and my receipt number also indicates my applications are at NSC. I read that USCIS sends off these applications to different service centers to balance workload, but it looks like NSC is really backed up, and TSC is pretty up to date. Why would they do this?? We're having to wait for months now, when it should only be 10 more days or so if it was filed in Texas.
