I just checked the USCIS website today and I129F is showing touched today.....strange to me. I wasn't aware they worked on Sat., but happy to see something happening.

Hi everyone,

I have posted a few times, but have mostly been reading and learning from everyone here the past few weeks. When I was talking with Sam the other day the question came up if I should be there for his interview in Cairo when that time comes. How do the interviews usually go there in Cairo? And is the SO allowed at the interview? I don't know if it would benefit our case if I were there or not. Any ideas on this? The airfare is so expensive and I have been over twice already, not that I wouldn't love to return , but we will save the money for here if this will not be a great benefit for our case.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is a poll that I thought would be interesting in light of the emphasis on Islam on the board and some resentment of that. It's unfair to assume that most here are Muslim or are in a relationship/marriage with a Muslim, but do we have any idea what affiliations exist on this board? Not really. I'm curious to know and it seems only fair to ask.

Yesterday I called and I wated for 1 hour before speaing to an IO well.....he had know clue what he was talking about. He told me that I wont be able to see nothing online or to track it till the case is approved. Whats the point of traking then. The man was more lost than me. Ok on another thread i found out that some one else got their NOA1 and they were able to register their cause on the USCIS website the same day. Has any one else had any progress in tracking their 129 F with the MSC number?

Any sucess stories today?

I have a receipt date for NOA1 of 07/26/06. Just today I am able to register the number online with the MSC number.

That would be a success for today

Welcome to Vj..."a place to be"...you will love it and you will hate it but the bottom line is that there is a lot of useful info..., a lot of help and support as well as a great number of strongly opinionated and outspoken individuals who can drive you insane if you get sucked into their petty disputes...be guided accordingly...LOL

Thanks. I can see that you all are having some frustration with the Embassy in Cairo. I hope that our will go smoothly there, but so far haven't heard anything too promising about it.

Just as I finished this post went and checked the mail and NOA1 was in the mailbox. So official date of receipt for NOA1 is 07/26/06.

I have been looking at and filling out information at this site for a couple of weeks, but am just posting as new member now and very happy to have this place to get information and see others going through this crazy process.

I know that I will be coming here and getting to know others and sharing in the joy and pain that goes along with beginning a new life with someone plus going through govt process to be together in that new beginning.
