    Hi Everyone,

My fiance and I just got married a few weeks ago. We just started researching everything we have to get done for his adjustment of status. But there is a problem.  A month before my fiance arrived in the U.S I sustained an injury at work and had to leave. Once he arrived I found a new full time job as a Nanny, making better money than my last job. The only problem is that Its technically not a business, and I am only paid in cash. Originally my father was our financial sponsor,  but I am worried about submitting the forms with no letter from employer, or any real pay stubs.

    Any ideas help

    Thank you!!

Bank statements and then make sure you file taxes at the end of the year. You can also get a notarized letter from the person you are working for stating how much they pay you and length of you employment.

  2. Have mom sign and notarize a paperwork saying the place belongs to her and she allowed you guys to stay. I will like to assume both of you don't stay there for free, then she should make a rental agreement between herself and you guys back dated to the day you'll start living there.

If you sail through this one successfully and will continue to stay with mom, transfer one or two utility bills to your names for removal of condition.

Do you guys have a car? Car registration, Title and Car insurance.

    Life Insurance policy.

    Joint Tax Return.

  3. I made a mistake and did not make a copy of NOA2 for the K1 visa approval. The consulate collected the original copy from my fiance and did not return. She called the consulate and they told her to send an email. After sending the email, she an auto-response directing her to FAQ.

I understand a copy of the approval notice is needed for AOS, I looked into i824 and it's a bit pricey for a duplicate copy. Any advice will be appreciated. Will they reject AOS application without a copy of NOA2? Can I attach a statement saying the US consulate collect and did not return it back to us?

  4. You can file a divorce base on abuse. He signed Affidavit of Support and he's not supporting you. You said you are a green card holder, if you leave him, you will still get the permanent green card, so don't worry about immigration issues. I understand why you think you have to stay in the marriage but this man is killing you little by little. Leave him for the sake of your life and sanity.

    Wish you all the best.
