I googled it and found the article in the website of Hammond Law group (known immigration law firm in the US.
Let us just pray that this will not push through. I am from the Philippines but not in the southern part though. If ever, this might still affect the whole country. I am honestly freaking out right now. It's getting frustrating day by day.

Yes it's indeed heartbreaking.
I wanna share my story..
My husband is a US citizen. He petitioned me and our eldest daughter before.
I got a green card and my daughter was naturalized US citizen.
We went back in my country, stayed here for many reasons and got pregnant to our youngest daughter here but acquired father's US citizenship.
Technically, my green card is unexpired but outside the US for more than allowed time. So, when me and my daughters decided to come back to US, I wasn't allowed entry by the airline. My eldest daughter but still a minor had to fly alone while me and my youngest daughter were left behind.
I had to surrender my green card and re apply for a new petition.
Now my family is separated and divided in half.
All the news coming out right now about the ban and sorts makes me really worried. I miss my daughter and my husband so much. And it is terrifying to think what could come next.

Oh I see. Guess he needs to seek advice from an accountant before sending the packets. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Thank you very very much! Greatly appreciated guys!

Thank you for your reply agripa.
I will talk to my husband about it but it's what he told me.
It's kinda confusing, he is also a dual citizen. If that will make it more clear.
How about the ssa earning statement?
Again, thank. Very much appreciated.

Thank you very much misshepburn for the clarification.
If you don't mind a follow up question regarding tax transcript.
My husband is my principal sponsor and currently in the US.
He can't submit itr for 2014 and 2015 for a reason he was out of US with me. I know we need to write an explanation letter.
Regarding w2 and 1040, he recently filed itr. Is it really necessary to submit tax transcript from IRS? And SSA earning statement?
Thank you very much for anyone who answers. Very much appreciated.

Hi,
Just a clarification, I-864 is for the sponsor and joint sponsor that is not a member of the household but we should use I-864A if the sponsor is a member of the household?
Thanks!

Pick the petitioner, your US husband. Even so, you will both get a copy of the NVC welcome email.
Got it. Much thanks!

Just an update..
Approved last November 21, 2016 and after receiving the approval / NOA 2 from mail last November 28, 2016, finally NVC provided us our case number and invoice number via phone today January 10, 2017.
Should I wait for an email from NVC to start filing the DS-260?
My husband forgot to ask. :/
Thanks!
Sorry, I meant DS-261 Choice of Address and Agent

Hi there!
I need advice as I am confused.
I am the applicant/benifiary and just got the case number and iin today via phone call to NVC.
In Choosing an Address and Agent, may I ask who do you think is the more practical# agent to pick, me (who is in the Philippines) or my husband jn the US?
Thank you!

Philippines is a fast track country, as for the rest of us .........
Only a 6 weeks delay ,,,,,, NVC process time is now 4-7 weeks not 4 weeks as before, it will happen soon.
Don't worry, your presumption seems wrong coz it's been 7 weeks going 8 but no scan date for me yet. Good luck to all of us!

It is normal, NVC may not have opened up its Dec caseload because of the holidays etc. It is usually 4 weeks to get anywhere but by jumping on the phone sometimes you get ahead by 2 weeks ..... when you wait months, the delay at the Embassy interview will get you back .... frustrating test of nerves and patience ..... :-)
And still most of us wait .... time to look at sunsets and stroll down to a cafe for coffee that I will miss when I go ......
Thanks for the insight. I just wondered coz those who got approved last October got a new case number from NVC in less than a month. Just when I thought ours came faster than others.. now it seems just the same. We've been kept hanging for 6 weeks now.

Hi there! Happy new year guys!
We got approved by USCUS last November 21, 2016. My husband keeps calling NVC after 30 days of not receiving any correspondence from them as what stated in the I-797. And today, they just received my case but they were asking us to call back or wait for another 2 weeks for a notice. They haven't given us a case number or invoice number. Is this normal? Or it was a misunderstanding, that they meant until our case to be completed. I am confused why they haven't provided us a case number or an invoice yet. Please help, this is getting frustrating.

Hi again. Happy new year! Just an update..
We got approved last November 21, 2016 and received the I-767 from mail last November 28, 2016. My husband was calling them since December and today NVC just received our case and he was adviced that they can give us the new case and invoice numbers in two weeks from today. My question, is this normal? I've seen others here doesn't take that much time like this. I don't understand.

Can I ask what is the RFE? My wife's doing all my stuff with a immigration consultant and just curious to know what your referring too.
Thanks
RFE means Request For additional Evidence. Not all applicants were asked for this though.

I'm right there with you guys, having got NOA1 from Nebraska on 8/24. I'm guessing NOA2 will be in January.
I imagine you guys are checking for updates daily on the USCIS website, just like we are, lol.
In the case of an RFE, I wonder if such notification comes by mail only or if you see it on the USCIS page too?
Hi, we got an RFE. I got notification at uscis online then after few days we received it in mail. They are just a bit slow updating the online status.

Its better to choose your husband as the agent since he is in the US..it will be easier for nvc to contact him and vice versa..
Thank you very much JKLP.. keep in touch ?

Another question please..
In filing DS-260, which I believe is suggested to be filled out by the applicant (me). Should the address be in the US (petitioner) or the country where the beneficiary (me) currently resides?
Thank you in advance!

Hi there, we got the noa2./ I-797 in the mail today. My husband (petitioner) would want to wait the notice from nvc instead of calling them ahead. If ever, can I be the one to call them from abroad? Thanks again for the help. Best regards!
-
I dont know what the others did but we waited for the case number..some do call after a week or two from receiving the noa2 by mail.. fron our experience we were approved on oct 21 (online) received the noa by mail after a week. We were planning to call nvc after a month based on what is advised on the noa2 but fortunately nvc emailed us on nov 17.
Got it.. guess we will do the same. Thanks much for the tip! Tc ?
