they did reset my scan date. My original one was on December 13, 2016. After I got a checklist from the NVC and I sent in the document again, they reset my scan date to March 2, 2017.
oh I see ! phew, what a long wait!

The question about previous employers does not apply to everyone. On the sample you will note that it says "only for applicants who meet one of the following criteria" followed by a list of situations.
I didnt have to complete it either. Females from Europe who are currently working and who are applying for spousal visas do not need to complete this section.
I see. Thanks!

Yes all photocopies for NVC :-)
yeah got it

hey all,
I have just completed DS 260 and as many of us, I had previously looked up the DS 260 sample and filled it out for myself to save some time. I had looked up ALL of my previous employers/ supervisor's names, addresses of the companies etc and the same for my higher education institutions.... I submitted the form already and then realized that I did not fill in any of such information, since it didn't ask for it, yet the IV application was complete!
What could be the reason? Have you experienced the same?

hey all,
I have just completed DS 260 (could have done so a week ago already, but I was waiting for my parents-in-law to move so I could put the new address as the one where they should send my green card) and as many of us, I had previously looked up the ds260 sample and filled it out for myself to save some time. I had looked up ALL of my previous employers/ supervisor's names, addresses of the companies etc and the same for my higher education institutions.... I submitted the form already and then realized that I did not fill in any of such information, yet the IV application was complete!
I am hoping this is not some kind of a glitch (I did do a search of VJ already and it seems like it may be that it isn't required because of the country I am from?) Please tell me if you or your spouse did or did not have to submit that info??? I am a bit concerned -

I didn't submit translation documents, but I would assume it'd be the same as other documents. Unless requested for original, photocopies would be sufficient and that original is brought to the interview.
Yep!
-
for those of you who had to send translations - did you send original translations with the photocopies of the original docs or just ALL photocopies (also of the translation)?
-
Hi,
I am getting my police certificates translated and the translator wants to attach the translations to the original certificates. I want to hold on to the originals for the interview. Can I send photocopies of both the original police certificates + photocopies of the original police certificates with the attached translations after they've been translated...??
Or should the translations (stamp, signature of the translator) be ORIGINAL? In which case I would have to send my originals to the NVC ?! and would be left with only photocopies...

Hey all, is it normal for the IV fee to go back to PAY NOW on the main CEAC "fees" page?! We did pay 2 days ago, the money went out of the account and on the "receipts" page it shows the payment is "in process", yet when I select the IV fee payment receipt, it says "not paid' on it instead of in process. And when I click on the pay now, it actually allows me to select the fee again 😏... help:/ it shows as if it's not paid except for the one place it still says in process, so perhaps it is in process, but what concerns me is that it showed in process on the main fees page before aswell and it went back to pay now.... ???

The American embassy website in Paris list the type of birth certificate copy we needed. Maybe they have done the same in Denmark? I imagine you're ok. Same here, need a recent copy, no the original.
Okay, yeah I do have the one with the same title and from the authority they have listed on the website, I am just wondering if they sent me the bilingual one since I am not Danish or something and would need to use it abroad or something? Haha, no clue. It would just be the worst thing to get a checklist for, esp since I wouldnt have anything else to send. I will call Denmark on Monday and ask if they only give out bilingual ones now. Then I rest assured that I will be fine...

This is tricky.. Because in France, they offer a "international birth certificate" which has an english version on it.. But when looking at the embassy paperwork requirements, it states that they want the official copy of the original birth certificate. So in this case the "international birth certificate" that we submitted to the USCIS i130 wouldn't be accepted by the embassy here in France.. So maybe something similar happened to you and that's why NVC is asking for it?
Sorry for your checklist.. Maybe upon calling them you can ask if you can bring the required one to the embassy...
I have a Danish birth certificate that has both danish and english on it. I'm scared 😏 i dont have my original anymore, it was lost years ago... so my only option is to send that certified extract with apostille that I got from Denmark recently. Also though, my embassy in Estonia requires the birth certificates to be less than a year old, so it might work...?

Whew! i thought i did something wrong while filling out DS-260. I was kicked out in between because there was no activity for about 20 mins (was looking for some address) and when i tried to log in i got the error. Been like 3 hrs now and still cant log in.
I paid the IV fee yesterday, but does it need to show "PAID" in order for me to fill out the ds260 (whenever it is possible to log in) ... although I think I would wait til Sunday or Monday anyway, because of their maintenance work on Saturday

Yeah, I actually checked a couple of hours ago aswell and it's still giving the same error, so it must be their error, not yours

You can live in Poland for as long as when the process is complete, but you will need a joint sponsor and enough proof of domicile in the United States (possibly a job offer, a place to stay, maintained driver's licence, bank accounts etc...anything that shows the clear intent of returning to the States as soon as the visa comes through which you can expect about a year from now I think. Unless Warsaw has EP - email processing. That takes people through NVC pretty quick. But USCIS still takes a lot of time)

Welcome Letter comes in E-mail. Keep Checking your e-mail everyday. Mine was sent March 25, 2017, from USCIS to National Visa Center. Recived my Welcome Letter on February 07, 2017, though did not discovered it until February 20, 2017, in my e-mail. Good Luck. Have great day.
I don't know who you wanted to answer this to, but I am sure it wasn't me

11 weeks unfortunately. I'm currently on my 8th week
What was the checklist for?
NVC - May 2017 Scan Dates - Method 4: Mail processing
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

As far as I have understood, a checklist resets your scan date (so another 9-11 weeks)
