Oh ok. My entry date was Oct 18 and fess paid on Oct 17th and up to now no sign of improvement
It may be worth calling uscis
-
I keep on getting the same response whenever I track mine too...some says it means USCIS have not started processing ur greencard yet..when was ur POE?
It does not mean that USCIS has not started the process. I don't think this message is related to that at all. I was able to see the status after I paid the ELIS fee. I paid the fee over a month ago and my entry date was Dec 2nd. Its been 3 or 4 days that the "user defined error" shows up. When did you enter? When did you pay the fee?

When I try to track my green card on the uscis website, it provides me with a "validation error" and it says "user defined error". Any idea how to resolve this?

paid $165 on line 10/4/2016
arrived at JFK on 10/8/2016
received status update on 11/16: card being produced and will be mailed to the address provided
waiting for the GC to arrive in the mail...
Thank you for sharing

Today my status updated date changed again but still says ready:)
That can only be a good thing

There is an ioe number you got when you paid. That is your case number for your green card, not your wac number. It also wont tell you anything until the card is produced.
Thank you so much

Does anyone know how to check the status of the Green Card? I have paid the $165 fee, and received a receipt. I have not yet crossed the border, and am aware that the card will not be issued until I move. However, I still want to check the status. When I go to "Check my case status" on the USCIS website, and enter my WAC number, it just gives me the same "your case has been approved" message which is several years old. Any idea on how to check the actual Green Card status? (and yes, I did receive a receipt for my $165 payment).
I got the answer
Basically, when you pay the fee, USCIS send you a receipt with a number on it. That number is supposed to be entered into the "check my case status" form.... Not the WAC number.

Hi – How do I check the case status on my Green Card? I understand that I can not receive the card until I’ve crossed the border (which I haven't done yet). I did receive a confirmation e-mail stating that my $165 was paid. However, I do not know how to actually track the status for processing. When I go to USCIS.gov and enter my WAC number, it basically just tells me that my case was approved (a message that is now several years old). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your duplicate polling messages posting and placement resulted in several VJ Terms of Service (TOS) violations. Here is a link to the TOS: http://www.visajourney.com/content/terms We all agreed to abide by the TOS when we joined the forum.

My husband is in AP Hell also. It is getting worrisome. His interview was Sept. 20, 2016 and we still haven't heard anything. They said he was approved pending medical (they received it a few days later) and kept his passport. It's just getting to me as we are apart.
Oh, this is the US Embassy in Australia.
I had my interview on September 12th and just last week got mine issued. They told me that I was approved as well. It still can take time
68 days on ap and still nothing
I'm sorry to hear that Anna. But hey... Hang in there. I forbid you to give up

If anyone recently received their Green Card, I would love to know how long you waited after your entry to receive the card.

Moved from Adjustment of Status from K Visas forum to Polls forum; duplicate topics removed. Do not make multiple posts on this.
With all do respect, I do not know why you removed my post as a "duplicate". I posted on other threads directing VJ members to this thread. The goal was to get enough traffic so that we can get sufficient data for me to compile an Excel spreadsheet. This would have benefited all VJ members. By removing the posts that I made, this thread suffers, and everyone loses.

Hi Everyone - For those of you who have immigrated to the US, and have received your Green Card in 2016, I would greatly appreciate it if you could participate in this new poll that I just created. It will be of tremendous help to others who are waiting for their Green Cards. Here is the link, and thank you for your time

Hi Everyone - Please take a look at this new post I've made. For those of you who have already immigrated to the US and have received your Green Card, participating in this poll would be of great help to everyone. Here is the link, and thank you for your time

Hi - This question is for those of you who have immigrated to the US in 2016 and have already received a green card. What I would like to know is how long did you have to wait for the Green Card to arrive after you entered the US? Please include the following anonymous information in your post so that I can compile this data in an Excel spreadsheet. I would like to share this information in a meaningful manner on the forums so everyone has an idea of approximate wait time for their Green Card after entering the country. Please provide below information, and take part in the poll. Many thanks!
(a) Date of Entry
(b) Date Green Card received. Please input "W" if you're still waiting
© Did you pay for your Green Card prior to entry into the US or after?

Congratulations and have a save trip to usa:)
My case is still the same...last touched November 3rd status still ready for interview...We are out of our minds but there is nothing we can do...God help us all
Hi Anna,
Before mine got issued, I remember it did the same thing. It was touched... then nothing happened for like a week and a half. Then it got issued. I'm not saying that yours will also be exactly a week and a half... but there is a chance
Either way, waiting is difficult.... but I will continue to pray for you
-
What happened with you did you get your visa?
I just got it yesterday. I'm sorry for the late reply, but I was super busy with work. You know Anna, on the drive to work, I was thinking about you... and others in our situation. I prayed very hard for you, and others in our situation, because I know it's a long and frustrating one. I am confident yours will come soon too. Honestly, it'll come when you least expect it
-
Well both are spousal visas but IR-1 will receive 10 year validity versus CR-1 will receive 2 year validity green card.CR-1 needs to file I-751 to remove the condition for your Green Card for 2 year validity, and need to prove your marriage is indeed maintained with same person for those 2 years. There are some exceptions, but you have to file I-751 to remove the condition. You can file I-751 from 90 days prior to expiry date to expiry date, and if you miss it, you will loose your legal permanent resident status.
If you and your wife are married for two years or more when you enter usa then you will get the IR1 green card,if you enter usa before your second anniversary you will get CR1 gc. This is what I learned here on the forum
Wow! Didn't know that. Thanks for explaining it to me
-
Yes Thank god after two months..the first time they touched when I sent an email and two days after that today...Lets see what happens tomorrow and next week...hey I just wanted to ask in ten days me and my husband are celebrating our second anniversary if they call me after that and issue the visa its gonna be IR1 right? I learned on this forum about the difference between CR1 and IR1 silly me
Can you please tell me what the difference is between CR1 and IR1?

Yes, that should be fine. You are correct as they do say to wait 120 days
