  1. Thast great news! congratulations on your approval!!! Who did you contact to do the inquery for you? I thik I might do the same. How do I go about doing that?

    I contacted my local precinct california senator (not US senator). Just find out who it is in your area and call them to see if they can make an inquiry. Usually they are very nice and willing to do it for you

  2. I checked yesterday and saw that I was touched on my I130 for the first time. I was happy that I was touched, but i was not too optimistic as i have seen many people being touched many times without an approval. In addition, my local California senators office called and left a message saying they have some information aboutmy case. Therefore I assumed that the touch was because of the inquiry.

    Lo and behold, this morning i checked my email and i have 5 emails from USCIS saying my I130 was approved yesterday.

    I want to thank everyone for their support and encouragement. I know the journey is not over yet, but this is one big hurdle that has been passed. Hopefully everyones get approved quickly as well

  3. Hi all,

    I am currently in a the process of I-130 and K3 for my wife. However I have aquestion for the board unrelated to that.

    My parents are US citizens and live in Ohio. Approximately 8 years ago, my father applied for a greencard for his brother and sister-in-law who live in India. At that time, his brotehrs children were j1 or h1 visa holders. My father filled out the affadavit of support at the time of initial filing.

    Since that time, my cousins are greencard holders and about to become citizens. Also my father and his brother each received a letter stating that an agent needs to be assigned and also a new affadavit of support.

    My questions are:

    1) Can my cousins now fill out the new affadavit of support for their father and mother as they are

    now financially stable and becasue my father will retire in the next few years?

    2) Can my cousins be the agents their parents?

    Thank you in advance

  4. I havent been touched since the 28th of July. Been recently touched on the k-3 tho...twice woohoooooo...lol

    LJ

    Must be nice!!! :devil::innocent:

    No touches here on the IR1/CR1 or the K3 :( .....the status simply says we received your application on blah blah blah and will let you know as soon as it is approved.

    Come on USCIS, lets go, lets go, I will pay overtime if you want me to but lets get the some touches already B)

    I have also been touched at least once for the K3, possibly twice.
