Just submitted my AOS package last week and i included the divorce decree of my husband. I also included some documents about him to discouraged RFE.

Below was the list of the docs i submitted.

Yes we applied for my SSN and expecting to arrive in the mail this week. It was easy, the girl there just looked at my original BC, passport, visa and I-94 and then she gave me a letter that says it will be available in 2 weeks. The waiting was not hard coz the guard there was awesome and entertaining us with his friendly gestures and smiling face and promptness and a bird sound thing that he played when the room was filled with silence. it was fun. )

We are still preparing for the big day... but we are planning on going to the county office this week or next week for a court wedding so that we can at least move on to the next phase of this journey.. the AOS. Btw, congrats on your approval. It was not too long ago that you celebrated for ur visa approval and now here comes the AOS. We are very happy for you.

Im glad to hear about Jinky and hoping to meet you all there in person soon.

Congratulations Jazzy about finally getting out of AR! Phew!

Thanks for all the well wishes! We are doing great here. I was laid off from my job last Thursday so it's been a mixed blessing - I'm able to spend all this time with Jinky and Job, but I'm also a bit eager to land my next job. I won't be able to post on VJ as often as before but I'll try to pop in as much as possible and definitely keep everyone updated.

To all the recent approvals - a big congratulations! Just know that you'll soon be together! It's really been soooo good to be together! No more having to call on the phone and try to express in words the love you have for each other. I feel spoiled with all the holding and kissing...just seeing their face in person everyday - their smile!

When visa is approved at Interview, can your fiancée pick the visa up in person instead of using Delbros since she will in Manila and lives in Providence?

Does anyone have any experience or know this answer: How many days?

she has to request it from the consul interviewing her, its only the consul who can grant visa pickup. i was granted visa pickup too, it was available the next business day, that was tuesday at that time. my interview was friday, and no office sat-monday(president's day).

well we got an AR! i don't know what went wrong. the interview took only 3 minutes and he kept saying everything looks fine except they have to review something. he never told us what it was. it could be numerous things.

- my wife's grandfather was petitioning my mom-in-law a couple years ago. i guess since my wife was dependent on her mom at the time she automatically is included in the petition. it was an F3 petition i think. i dunno

- our marriage?

- if we have kids?

i dunno what it could've been. we got the "white AR document" with a check at the bottom that says "we will review your case... please wait for us to contact you and bring the following documents checked above...". the problem is there is no document checked above. he said it can take up to 3 weeks. we'll probably call the embassy on monday to get more details.

those who called the 1909 number, are you put on hold and the 6php starts to charge or it will just ring until someone answers and you won't get charged until someone starts to help you?

yes thats right! lots of fiancees, fiances, first time immigrants travelling on that day. but i checked-in my X-ray film and im glad SFO doesnt ask that thing unlike Hawaii, coz its gonna be soo hard getting that film in the bottom of my clothes.

Where you located here in SF? would be nice to meet you up. never been to the golden gate bridge yet, maybe on Monday as we planned to meet Thersch and her fiance.
