Hello Visajourney friends! This is my issue, I came to United States with a K1 visa and I got married on January 10th before 90 days. In April I applied for the adjustment of status (AOS) but I did not do the employment authorization document (EAD) and the avance parole (AP) application. I attended my biometrics appointment on May 12th in Nashville, Tennessee and now I'm waiting for an interview but I researched the field office at Memphis, apparently this office take more than seven months to process an interview or approve the conditional residence.
I did not apply for EAD and AP because I did not know it was free at the time of filed the AOS package.
My questions are:
If apply now for the EAD and AP Shall I have to pay the fees for each form or are they still free because my application of AOS?
If apply for the EAD and AP Shall I have to attend a second biometric appointment?
I will thanks your advices and comments, I'm just sick and tired of being waiting, by the way what is the average time for the AOS to be approved?
THANKS!

No, I did not. But I'm being honest with you, this is about luck too, sometime there are nice consular officials and ####### too. I had two interviews but it was because my case was different, the first official was rude and impolite, but the second time I had a sweet and polite girl as my interviewer. You are dealing with humans so they are sometimes in mood or not. But do not worry if you have all the right work paper they will issue your visa because you are doing all the legal paper they are asking for.

Exactly! After the consulate approved and issued my K1 visa, I was getting it three day after my interview at the consulate. The index or rate is 3 to 5 days after your interview. Good luck!

Hello y'all, I did all this proccess at the end of the last year and at the beginning of this year.
In short:
Medical examination: $4,500 pesos mexicanos
K1 Visa fee: $5,000 pesos mexicanos
Hotel fee: $4,500 pesos mexicanos (Five days and four nights)
Flight tickets: $5,000 pesos mexicanos (Go and back)
Your american citizen fiance would pay this:
K1 Petition or form I-129F: 5,000 pesos mexicanos
Flight tickets: $5,000 pesos mexicanos (Go and back, since he needs to be with you the date of your interview)
This prices are approximated and they are under the changes of the dollar cost. This year the fees changed and they are higher so you will have to check on the USCIS website and the consulate too. This is only an idea how much you will expend in the K1 visa process.

Hey guys! We got it, our K1 visa was issued the December 6th, The second interview was nice, I was nervous at the beginning but then I felt so confortable because our relation is real. It was exactly how you told me the CO (A nice woman, no like the first one) interviewed us separated. She took more time with my man, but appently we had the same answers in all her questions. Then we spent a nice week together, now we are ready for the next step. I really appreciated your advices and wishes. I'm here for helping other people in the same situation. YAY!!!!!!!

Thanks Harpa Timsah
We will prepare everything for showing them our love is real. A second interview for a K1 visa is not very common in this consulate, the most common is when they ask for more proofs and mail them to the consulate.
I really appreciate your words and advices.

Hi everybody! I'm so sad while I'm writting this and it is not weakness to say I have been crying so much. We are a same sex couple and we applied for a K1 visa in the consulate of Ciudad Juárez, México. My interview was the past thursday 28 of September, I answeared all the questions to the OC, she asked me very personal question like when I knew I was gay, if my parents knew that I was gay she was very rude with those questions and she laughed too. She asked me if my fiance was there with me, I told her he could not come because his work. At the end of the interview she gave me a 221g blue slip, in this sheet of paper says I need to schedule an additional interview, in short I need to schedule a second interview. The CO told me it was because my fiance was not there with me that day and I need to go with him the next time, she did not ask for more proofs and she gave me back my passport and my original birth certificate.
Why does she want a second interview if all our paper and documentations was correct? Please I will thank you all the advices and answers you can give me, I'm really sad and now we have to wait to schedule a new interview.

Hey mimi6157!
Thank you for letting me know, I have not had news about the letter or about my case number but now my fiance will call to the NVC, I hope to get is soon. It's fantastic you got it sooner than us, congratulation! These experiences help us a lot, thank you for your tips and information about all this process. We keep in touch, thanks y'all.
A question, Where did you get the police certificate? I don't have a criminal record but I read the consulate is asking for it.
Do you know about it?
THANKS!!!!

You can schedule your appointment in any ASC (Applicant Support Center), they are located in any city where there is a consulate of United States, for example in Mérida, Yucatán there is a consulate and a ASC as well. I think there is a consulate in Guadalajara, Jalisco too.
Check this link, it will be easier.

The medical examination is only in Ciudad Juárez with the medical offices authorized as *CLINICA MEDICA INTERNACIONAL *SERVICIOS MEDICOS and *MEDICOS DE VISA.
Only the applicants who lives in the Estado de México and Ciudad de México (CDMX or DF) should go to the authorized clinic *MEDICOS ESPECIALIZADOS INTERNACIONALES (This is located in La colonia Juárez, Delegación Cuauhtémoc).
You can get the vaccines in any hospital in México, the nurse has to write up the differents vaccines you got in a record book (Cartilla de vacunación).
Some vaccines are free in México so it's better get them here than in the medical appointment because they are expensive. Take with you the record book (Cartilla de Vacunación) the day of your appointment for the medical examination because it will be a proof of your vaccines.

Thanks KayDeeCee!
Of course mimi6157, I'm waiting for my case number too, if you get your case number before me I will thank you let me know all about your consulate experience. It's supposed you have to schedule your appointment at the consulate, everything is online, the DS-160, etc.
Here is the completed information.

Hi everyone! We are new here, we are a same sex couple and we'd like to know about their experiences in the consulate of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México.
Now I'm waiting for the packet 3 (I read some of your comments here about it so now I know the "packet 3" it's a simple letter with instructions). By the way we've received our NOA2, the USCIS approved our case on June 27, 2016. I have a question for you guys.
I'm sure my fiance (US citizen) is going to be the first in getting the letter with our case number. In México the mail service is a mess. I have read in some forums where there are cases of mexicans who did not receive this letter for the bad service.
is it ok if my fiance send me a copy of the letter by email? (Scanning it) I meant a copy is enough for the medical examination, consular interview and the appointment for taking the fingerprints. Or Has it to be original?
I will thank all of you for your advices and tips you can give us.

I stayed at the Ibis hotel, it's close to the consulate (less than 300 meters), it's cheap and safe!
It's not a five star hotel but it's comfortable, clean and there are several restaurants around!
