  1. Can anybody write the wording on the biometric letter?

i heard somebody said that it says" if you are not present for the biometric apointment then we will assume that you have abandoned the process"

    Is that true?

I have received the NOA 1 letter on October 17 and have not received the biometric apointment letter so far?

how long is the gap between notice of action letter and biometric letter.

and how long is the gap between the biometric letter and biometric appointment.

  2. My wife has conditional GC which is expiring on Jan 5th, 09.

She has applied for I-751 last month and has received NOA -1 some 3 weeks ago for one year extension.

She has not received her biometric appointment so far.

We are planning to go to Pakistan on fmily reunion in first week of December and she will be staying there for 3-4 months.

    Questions:

1- What will happen when she comes back at airport.( will they give her hard time or take any action?)

2- What can be and should be done before she leaves USA?

3- can we request her biometrics before she leaves?

4- Can we delay her biometrics now as we know that she will not be here?

5- Is there anything we need to know?

Please share your thoughts ASAP as we are planning to buy tickets

    Appreciate your help

  3. Thanx those who commented on my post.

We went for interveiw yesterday to buffalo. They asked two questions... 1- Do you have tax returns to which i replied i have already sumitted with my application. She said Oh , ok. 2- are we still at the same address to which i said yes.

and then she said you guys are all set. She stamped our passport and told us that we will get our green card between 1-2 weeks. This morning we got a wellcome email.

she did not give a damn to any original document or vaccination supplement. I truly beleive that these USCIS folks are very nice and courteous. If you are a law abiding citizen then you should not worry for nothing.

  4. Hi folks,

my wife came to USA three months ago on K-3 visa and she is scheduled for adjustment of status interveiw in the beginning of January, 07. We have received her full vaccination supplement from the civil surgeon except Tetanus shot as she is pregnant. At the end of the vaccination supplement Form the doctor has checked that ' she may be eligible for blanket waiver'.

Do you guys know whether or not the USCIS will accept this supplement form or what?

I hope they dont hold her case untill she gets the tetanus shot which means after giving birth to baby in July. Has any one been in this situation and if yes how was your experience?

    appreciate your sharing of thought

  5. Hi Folks,

I am USC and my wife came on K-3 visa 3 months ago.We have applied for her adjustment of status and her interveiw is scheduled on Jan 8th, 06. Here are few things which are not clear to me

1- My wife is now pregnant 7 weeks and she cant have her vaccinations now. We have no record of her vaccinations in Pakistan. Will they delay her case unless she gives birth to a child and then do vaccination or should i just send a letter from the Doctor about the fact? Can they still approve the case? what are the possibilities?

2- Her medical was done in Pakistan 3 months ago so i beleive that we dont have to do another medical again though they have asked in the 1-797 C , Notice of Action, letter for " A completed medical exam (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement (unless already submitted). We obviously have not submitted any of those and we cant get any record from Pakistan. But I am sure they would know from her visa that the exam was done withinh one year !!!! what you think ?

3- Should i just go with my US passport or I need to have my birth certificate as well !!

    Appreciate your input

  6. Why they told my wife to get only MMR and Tetanus vaccination. She is here on k-3 and is 29 years old and they told her that she did not need hepatitis or any other vaccine.

The other funny part is that as we were planning to make appointment for the vaccination we found out that she is pregnant and now we are sending her application without vaccination. I dont know how it gonna play out. It may have some implications on the process i assume !

  7. Folks ! My wife got K-3 visa nd she is arriving in USA in in two days. After her visa was granted then I sent the IV Bill of $ 380 to NVC as I thought I am required to process my Immigration visa case.

But now looking at the Adjustment of Status posts at VJ it seems like that I just wasted that money and I should have applied for AOS only. Is my perception right or wrong?

secondly, I am the choice of agent of my wife and I sent the IV Bill of $ 380 but on the money order I wrote my name. Today I got a letter from NVC stating that " according to the department of state, each applicant must now pay the application fee in advance of the immigrant visa application. We have noted that you returend the fee bill sent to you but you failed to remit the required fee"

    What does that mean?

I have no clue what am i doing these days since i became complacent once my wife got visa but now it looks like that I need some guidance again from the VJ'rs.

Hope some body shed some light !

    Thanking you in anticipation

  8. Adil ! My wife got k-3 visa yesterday. It took few days less than 6 months. However the K-3 approval had taken long time and once the case was approved it literally took just few days before it reached islamabad. Aand the embassy in Islamabad gives 3-4 weeks for interveiw for k-3 visa but for CR-1 the interveiw dates are in Jan/Feb. I will not lose patience for the coming two more weeks. Best wishes

  9. Hi Folks !

Just a word of caution ' be over-prepared with documents for interveiw'

The consular officer in Pakistan asked my wife to show my original Naturalization Certificate which she had with her. I have never heard of this from any VJ member but I always beleive in being over-preapred.

Her interveiw was on 28th and it took her just few minutes before they gave her visa. They just asked few basic questions as a formality.

Just to give you an idea ' i had applied on May 1st, 06 for 1-130 and on May 25th , 06 for K-3 visa.

It went in a pretty reasonable time keeping in mind the IMBRA delay.

Again if you have become USC by naturalization then you should send the certificate to your spouse, in case.

Now I have a question for my 1-130

My wife is reaching here on 8th October and i have sent her IV bill of $ 380 to NVC but I have not sent the AOS. do i still need to send the AOS or I just need to relax and send the change of status form. what will be the best course ? Your input will be appreciated.
