Hi, today I received an email from NVC about my case status. I bet we are all going to receive this at certain point and I think this means we have an estimate of 4 months to receive our IL.
"Dear Sir/Madam,
This notice is to inform you that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been for at least 60 days. NVC has received all of the fees, forms and documents required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is awaiting an interview appointment. At this time, no further action is required. We appreciate your patience.
Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled, at which time we will send it to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. We will notify the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled.
The U.S. Embassy or Consulate tells NVC which dates they are holding interviews. NVC fills these appointments on a first-in, first-out basis and is unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.
Visa interviews at many U.S. Embassies and Consulates have been delayed as a result of the global COVID-19 outbreak. For the most up-to-date information about the U.S. Embassy or Consulate's operating status, please visit their website at https://www.usembassy.gov.
The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 120 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview.
Important: The applicant should not make any permanent financial commitments until they have received their immigrant visa. This includes activities such as:
- Selling a house, car or property,
- Resigning from a job, or;
- Making other travel arrangements.
Thank you for your continued patience.
Regards,
National Visa Center

Yeah.. It says E2.. When I submitted the I-824 for him, I thought he was going to be under F2A, not my visa category..
Any news on when things gonna start back up waiting on a new date last one was March 2020. This is overwhelming.
-
Husband is still waiting on a new interview date his was March 2020 has anyone heard anything new since Biden took office. Was hoping to get a new date by now.

Wondering when this will actually take effect, husband had an interview from March 2020 F2A, it is so frustrating.

Nobody has any idea. Not even NVC has any idea because they are moving at a snail's pace currently because of "stay at home" orders. Perhaps, now that many states are opening again (or I should say, forcing/pushing people back into the work place), perhaps their turn around time may increase.
I've seen the NVC go from an average turn around time of 53 days in December to 63-67 (during Jan 2020 - Feb 2020), and during the Pandemic 67-88 days. However, as of May 18, it is now approximately 94 days turn-around time frame (from submission of all docs to receipt of appointment letter).
Perhaps, the turn-around time frame may go down slowly as NVC offices begin to welcome back their works to the office. Please keep mind that even if NVC completes your case, they cannot issue a definitive appointment date (if any) because of President Trump's immigration ban (if it applies to you).
Its crazy my husband had a date fir March 17 and it was cxled 4 days before that. Now we just waiting on a new date

That's good news. I am optimistic and happy for you. Was the second email in response to a separate email you sent to nvc or they r just following up on their own. Did ur online status change to "in transit to nvc"?
surprisingly they followed up on their own my status remains the same however

Hi, how have you been? Any news from nvc? They responded to my email yesterday that they dont have my case yet and will work with uscis.
Thats the same thing they told me before then they emailed me saying that Uscis said the approval was in transit to NVC that was last week so im not sure how long its gonna be "in transit" for only time will tell

Called NVC yesterday (being proactive) just to get myself into the habit of calling them weekly.
as the guides suggested.
10 min of retries calling their number and 30 min of hold and I finally got through. My case was approved two weeks ago (late September) and representative said, they have no records of the case and let me know that it could take up to 6 weeks from the date of approval for NVC to receive it.
See profile for my timelines. USCIS website says case was sent to NVC on OCT 3rd. So for me it looks like early November before I get my welcome letter.
I'm hoping my beneficiary interview wraps up by Feb 2020 before they change the VB dates for F2A again. Anyone else who got approved late September?
How do you check when it was sent mine still only says that it was approved

Hi, pls have you had any news from NVC. I sent them an email today attavhing a copy of my approval notice. As at yesterday they still haven't received my case. It's almost 2 months now and no clue what's going on or what's causing the delay. Kindly let me know if you got any update since oir approvals were about the same time. My case was approved at california service center though. Is it same location with ur case?
same service center and nothing from NVC except that they received the enquiry letter that i sent and that they will follow up with USCIS

Any news about ur welcome letter yet? My approval was aug 12. Nvc told me CSC is yet to send my case. Do you know if they have sent yours? My case status is still "case approved" as of today. Anyone else in my shoes???
I called them too and was told the same so I called USCIS and they told be that it can take up to 90 before they send it off to NVC....which is so crazy why would you hold the file so long after approval when others that have been approved long after mine was sent off and they received welcome letters.
I have been though the process before and it was never like this. USCIS was always one of procedure and it wasn't at random . You were processed according to you priority date. Now its so chaotic ppl in 2008 getting approval and interviews and 2017 still waiting on I 130 approvals.
Anyways all I can do is wait..... but as soon as I hear from them I will update you.

CSC is ridiculously slow with everything. They are yet to transfer my case to nvc since it was approved on aug 12. Imagine it taking them up to 2months. Other centers send cases to nvc within 2/3weeks of approval.
I know right my hubby was approved from Aug 9th I called NVC and they had no correspondence from USCIS. I called USCIS and they told me that it can take up to 90 days to be sent off to NVC. Thats just crazy why should it take tha long.....

PD October 27 2017.......I-130 approved On August 9, 2019, Finally. Now its another long wait to get the welcome from NVC, But I am happy its on its way

Well, when I said "fist come; first serve", I am referring to petitions filed (or forwarded) to the California Service Center (CSC). I'm not referring to petitions filed at other service centers. I have been waiting "impatiently" for approximately 20 months now for my petition to be approved, so trust me, I know the pain of waiting like everyone else.
For whatever reasons (obviously unbeknownst to us mere mortals), USCIS (or a higher power) is forwarding or sending nearly all I-130 petitions filers who falls within the F2A category to the CSC. It's unfair no doubt, because when you check Texas and the Vermont Service Centers the waiting times for F2A/F2B are ridiculously short compared to CSC. So without any inside knowledge how the CSC is processing cases, I simply am taking their word for, for no other reason that I do not have any way of knowing either way and I have not heard anyone here on this site (or elsewhere) who have credibly offered an alternative explanation how petitions are processed.
Besides, believing that the process is "first come; first serve" helps me maintain my sanity through-out the process! Don't you already have sufficient to stress about?

I don't think this is the case for all "Caribbean" filers. As I'm a Caribbean filter, my spouse country of discharge is "Dominican Republic" and my PD is Nov 17, 2017 and received my RFE on July 15 (which was sent to me on July 8th). The reason for the RFE is simple to resolve and could have been avoided had I done a better job of doing my research. Anyways, it would have been approved, perhaps on that same day of July 8th. So again, I think this is evidence they are processing Caribbean petitions. The order, or priority in how they process Caribbean petitions is up for debate, but I take them at their word that petitions are processed in a "first come; first served" basis.
ok i see. First come first serve in terms of how exactly is it whose file is on the top of the pile???
Just to add this was not the case with my petition most people in my group received approvals WL and visa dates consecutively in respect to priority dates. So unless something has changed or maybe CSC has their own little thing going on there.

Evidence? Why would they?
I have been following a group on FB since last yr and since the Visa Bulletin became current mostly filers from Phillipines, Mumbia, Bangladesh and similar countries are getting their i-130 approved for dates even in Dec 2017. I could be wrong but this is what I have observed and that is the reason I asked if anyone in the Caribbean has received approvals.
