  • Our Story
We first met in February 2019, at my cousin’s quinceañera—two souls crossing paths without knowing what the future held. Time passed, life moved on, but destiny had its own plans. In November 2020, we reconnected… and this time, something deeper clicked. What started as a conversation turned into a connection, and then love began to bloom—genuine, unexpected, and strong.

What drew me in was his unwavering determination and deep dedication to God. He wasn’t like anyone I had met before. In a world full of noise, he stood grounded in faith, and I saw in him not just a partner, but someone I could trust with my heart and future.

Like any love story worth telling, ours didn’t come without challenges. We faced whispers, judgment, and the weight of our age difference. But we stood firm—choosing each other over opinions, and faith over fear.

One of my favorite memories is our first kiss—simple and shy. It happened on a quiet ride through the countryside, on our way to my house. We were nervous, almost afraid of the moment, and all we did was softly press our lips together. But it was tender and unforgettable—the kind of memory that stays with you forever.

We got engaged in December 2nd, 2023, and sealed our promise with a courthouse wedding on June 13, 2024. Just two days later, we stood before God, family, and friends for our Christian ceremony on June 15—a moment that felt like everything was finally as it should be.

Our love is far from perfect, but it’s real. We’ve argued, cried, prayed, and healed together. And even in the hard moments, we always find our way back to understanding. That’s what makes it strong—it’s not about being flawless, it’s about being willing.

This is just the beginning of a lifetime of growing, learning, and choosing each other—day after day, with faith, love, and grace.

  1. I apologize for the confusion. The income being counted is mine and my son’s; my husband’s income is not included in what we earn. However, he is counted toward the household size for the income guidelines, which is what I meant. As for the first FE, I’m not sure why they requested Schedule C, but it is the second FE that concerns me, as I was worried they were requesting another joint sponsor.
  2. This is what the FE Review stated: The income reported on Forms I-864 and I-864A is considered insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. A joint sponsor may submit Form I-864. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos and https://www.uscis.gov. You must meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors, household members, and joint sponsors may submit additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of the interview, such as: Other income Assets Proof of current employment Documents can continue to be uploaded through the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC). However, after receiving this FE Review, I also received another email stating that my case is now Documentarily Qualified (DQ), which is why I’m confused. Our household size is 4 (including my husband), and our combined income is almost $70,000, which is well above the required amount. Should I ignore the FE since the case is now DQ, or should I still upload additional documents just in case?
  3. Good morning everyone, I’m a little confused and hoping someone can help clarify. I received an FE Review requesting my Schedule C and W-2, which I had already submitted with my affidavit back in October. I went ahead and resubmitted all the documents again. Today, I received another FE Review stating that I need a sponsor, which was also already submitted with my son’s affidavit since his income is being counted with mine and we are in the same household. However, less than a minute later, I received two emails saying that all required documents were submitted and that my case is now Documentarily Qualified (DQ). I’m confused—should I still submit what the FE Review is asking for, or does the DQ status mean everything has already been accepted?
