  1. my fiance lost her visa, passport, I-94 and everything she recieved from the U.S. Emabassy and the port of entry in San Francisco. We are in the process of getting her passport replaced. But the question is she able to return back home without the I-94 that she recieved at the port of entry? Is the passport sufficient enuff to get her back home?

Thanks for any help on this.

  3. Not sure exactly where to put this one. My fiance and I came in thru San Francisco on 3 Jan. Somewhere between San Francisco and Oklahoma City she lost her fiance visa. We have looked everywhere and have called the lost and found at each airport trying to locate it and also the airline. Does anyone know what we need to do in order to get the process going for a replacement??????? Any help would be great.

    :(

  5. I got the notice in the mail tonight. The receipt date says March 27th now instead of March 22nd (from the original NOA1) but it's here.

The postmark on the envelope is Sept 6th.

I just got back from France yesterday. While I was there, Cécile and I logged in every day to check our status but nothing changed. In fact, my account still says the same thing. I never received an email notification or anything.

But I'm holding it in my hand right now and it's the most beautiful piece of paper I have ever seen.

I want to thank all of you. I can't imagine how we would have been able to get through this ordeal without your help and support.

Best wishes to you all. I can't believe how happy I am. To all of you still waiting, I can assure you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (and it's not a train coming from the opposite direction).

    CONGRTULATIONS

  7. Congratulations!!! My fiance is also from Korea. How did you get the packet 3 by email? Should I send an email to the Embassy to inquire? BTW, I am still waiting a response email from NVC regarding my case number. It has been 4 working days and maybe I should call.

Yes i received the pkt 3 in an email sent by the Embassy. I first received the letter from NVC dated 7 Sept on 11 Sept. I would call and see what the status is at NVC with your package. Where at is your fiance in Korea? My fiance is in Pusan.

  9. we are going to apply for k1 visa next week. We were supposed to apply that to nebraska centre but we heard they only deal with k3 visa. they are trasferring all k1 cases to california centre. can anyone tell us to which cetre we should apply for k1 visa ? we are confused. pls help.

You apply at the Service Center in your area. From what you said, that is Nebraska. Where Nebraska sends the application after that is out of your control and completely in the hands of the Nebraska Svc Senter. I live in Texas, I sent our K1 app to TSC. They sent it to California! You don't want a rejection for filing at the wrong Svc Center. So, definitely send it to the Svc Center that services your area..

    congrats

  10. Hi All,

I'm in a real hurry, so this is just a quick message to say I got a very excited phonecall from Jenni in the middle of the night. We were approved, apparently on the 9th, though the email didn't arrive till yesterday.

I see from topic titles that there have been quite a few more approvals. I'm hoping all those who filed before us are either approved, or CSC is going to get on your case asap. Now on to London...

Thanks to all on this forum who provide clear advice, candid commentary, and caring support for so many going through this process.

    Cheers,

    a very happy Sami :yes::yes::yes:

WONDERFUL new!!! Congratulations to you both! Have a smooth trip from now on!:dance::dance:

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

    CSC is moving along now.

  12. (Packet 3)

I know that Zaeem and I are not the only ones going through this Consulate now, so I thought I would post some information regarding this Consulate. I have found that they are very efficient, they do everything electronically, I don't believe they send packet three or four via mail, it is all sent via email. That is how they have done it with us anyway. We have now already requested our interview via internet, it will be posted within 2 weeks, and the Consulate stated that upon request of the interview, the interview will be held within 4 weeks. Attached are the forms from Packet three. Once you receive your NOA2, and it is forwarded to NVC and you receive your NCV case #, the medical can be scheduled. You don't have to wait for packet three, or even for it to get to the Consulate. Once it has left NVC, be sure and email the Korea Consulate asking them if they have received your case or not, and they will reply right away and attach packet three. The only form that has to be sent back from packet three is form DS - 230, you can either mail it back or fax it. We chose to fax it, it is just faster. I emailed them the next day to find out if they rec'd our fax and they emailed me back right away to let me know they did. They have been very helpful thus far. Once you have gathered all required documents, that is when you request interview via the internet. They will send you an email with your interview date, and this is considered packet 4. They will also post your interview on the website. Once the interview is requested, the USC should make sure all of the documents that are required of he/she are ready to be sent to the Beneficiary. I am sending mine next week.

We are going thru the Seoul Consulate also. We are now waiting for NVC to receive the I129F package. While waiting on this to finally get to Seoul, can my fiancee go ahead and start filling out the forms that are required for the Packet 3 or does she need to wait till she receive the packet and fill out the actual forms that are sent to her? Also what forms can I the USC get done now and have ready to make the process a little more faster? Thanx for info on the Consulate that you sent out.
